'We stayed at The Old Police House for a week (the first week of February) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was fully equipped, from towels to salt and pepper, everything was there. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Sue, the owner, has truly thought of everything, even diapers for the little ones were provided. Toys, dog towels, food bowls for the dog, everything was available. The house is warm (both literally and figuratively), cozy, and the location is beautiful and...

'We were initially very tensed as we are going to Europe for first time. Communicated with the owners (Karen & George), they were very friendly and eased our anxiety. Karen met us after we checked-in and she was very friendly and helpful. My wife and daughter liked the glamping area very much, its safe. I highly recommend if you are planning for a trip to Loch Ness and need a small private atmosphere.'

'I picked this place as I enjoy having cooking facilities with accommodation and when having an early start for work means I can make breakfast still. Nice bedroom/relaxation area. Only slight downside is the shower head slider pole thing kept slipping and spinning round but bathroom was nice too otherwise.'

'The apartment is great size, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It is very close to the bus and train stations so if you are traveling without a car if is super convenient. It is in the heart of the city. As a note, we parked our car in the Old Town Rose Street parking garage by the bus station. It allows overnight parking and we always found a parking space. It was 9 for a 24 hour period although our car was never parked that long.'

'A group of 7 family and friends from various places in Scotland and England stayed at Cardon House as a good place to get together.It's a lovely house and very comfortable and spacious! Wish we were staying longer. Some stunning scenery in the area and saw a red squirrel in the garden! Did not meet Caroline the host in person but spoke on the phone a couple of times, she was very helpful and friendly.Thoroughly recommend this place for a group of up to 12.'

'Property was good value, bed very comfortable. Nice warm house. Shared kitchen / livingroom very clean and modern. When I arrived there was mould around base of shower so I put bleach on it and cleaned it, This should have been done by cleaner. The electric shower needs replaced as its intermittent. But at the cost I'd certainly use it again. Fine distance from the town. Oh wifi wasnt really working but that could just be me..'

'The cottage exceeded our expectations. The information we got and how we entered the cottage was easy. Very good communication with the owners.The facilities in the cottage was more than we had anticipated. Everything was accounted for so the comfort level was very high. Very beautiful surroundings and clean. If we go back on holidays in Scotland, we will definitely come back to Westlodge Cottage. '

"The hotel has a good location and decent rooms, but our stay was marred by several issues. Our shower was broken upon arrival, leaving us unable to shower for a full day. We had to build makeshift water barriers with towels to prevent flooding. Service at the front desk was poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and when we asked about it, staff falsely claimed we had declined housekeeping, which we hadn’t. The elevator smelled strongly of vomit throughout our visit and was never addressed. After the shower was finally repaired, no one informed us or followed up, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast area often felt unclean — tables were sticky, and between 8:00 and 9:00 it got overcrowded quickly, with food items running out fast."

"Beautiful hotel on the ground floor, lots of space to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff. The hotel has a lot of charm. However, the room is very basic and misses any charm, the mattress is old and uncomfortable and outdated bathroom. Breakfast was also very basic."
