'Prachtig hotel, mooie locatie, goed ontbijt en diner '

'Rust in een landelijke omgeving en verzorgd door goed personeel in een net hotel'

'Hotel is ok. Gezellig. Maar heel oud. Overal is oud, kan verbeteren. Maar ok. Goedkoop hotel. Eendagje slapen en weg rijden ideal. Personeel eerlijk goed, vriendelijk, behulpzaam.'

'Staff were excellent. Very nice outside area to eat in summer ! You must book in advance. (We didn't unfortunately) Meal was excellent and good breakfast the next day. Ample parking.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wish we could have stayed longer. The food was very good, the room was large and clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.'

'Great parking. We didn’t realise when we booked that the pub would shut at 8 pm on the Sunday which was disappointing but they gave us a key to enter the building and to come and go as we wanted. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.'

'Aangenaam verblijf met vriendelijk personeel. '

'Eten was niet veel bijzonder.Probleem met wc.Ik had nog munten van iets meer dan 10 jaar terug bij mijn vorig verblijf in Engeland.Het bleek een probleem mij te vertellen welke nog geldig waren. '

'A very clean and well equipped room - limited parking but perfectly adequate - disappointing lack of breakfast - rice crispies and cormflakes don't do it! Very good dinner and bar facilities'

'Central location but hotel is very worn and needs maintenance. The Beefeater restaurant is fabulous.'

'The staff were very helpful, the room clean and the bed comfortable.'

'Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn.'

'Wij werden bij aankomst hartelijk welkom geheten door Adèle. We waren iets te vroeg, maar dat was geen probleem. Na een gezellige korte kennismaking, kregen we een prachtige, schone en grote kamer. Adèle heeft alles goed voor elkaar en levert kwaliteit: parkeervergunning voor de auto, een heerlijk ontbijt met keuzemogelijkheden: wij vonden het top! Op loopafstand van het centrum dus echt een aanrader!'

'★★★★☆ The George Hotel has plenty going for it: welcoming staff, a generously sized room, thoughtful extra amenities and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The location is incredible, too. However, as many other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a quiet hotel. We were in a designated quiet room, with no events taking place during our stay, and could still hear just about everything happening around us. Four and a half ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the comfort, staff and fantastic location, but light sleepers...

'A very pleasant one night stay in a very comfortable standard room. Tea making facilities were welcomed and the Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The building itself is a lovely historical place and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Bathroom was modern with a great sized shower. '

'Excellent staff and stay.'
