PLAATS:
Kijk niet verder voor een fantastische plek om te ontspannen - voor een weekend, een week of langer. Gelegen aan de oostkant van Lake Martin, 1. 5 mijl buiten de Dadeville stadsgrens, en op slechts 3 mijl van Still Waters Resort. Ook deze woning is minder dan een minuut per boot, of tien minuten met de auto, naar Smith Mountain, die in de zomer van 2011 geopend is. Bij Smith Mountain kunt u naar de top van Smith Mountain wandelen en de historische en onlangs gerestaureerde Fire Tower beklimmen. Op een heldere dag is er een 50 mijl uitzicht!

De woning is slechts een uur van Montgomery, twee uur van Atlanta, 75 minuten van Birmingham, en 25 minuten van Auburn. Talrijke goede restaurants zijn slechts een paar minuten verwijderd. Geniet van comfort en gemak zoals nergens anders. In feite kan je ergens anders op het meer liggen en zo dicht bij Auburn en Atlanta liggen. Deze woning is ideaal voor twee, of drie gezinnen, of drie of vier koppels, die uitgaven en plezier willen delen! Deze uitstekende 1300 'schiereiland waterfront eigenschap is eigenlijk vier meer veel gecombineerd in een' one of a kind 'lake property. Het ziet er uit op spectaculair zuid-, west- en noordkant, met uitzicht op het meer van Martin Martin. Je kan letterlijk voor meerdere mijl zien. Plus, u geniet ook van de privacy van de weg!

Er zijn twee grote pieren. Ze hebben de reputatie om twee van de BESTE visserspieren te zijn in het gehele oostelijke deel van het meer van Martin. Het diepzee water van de pieren is wat bass, brasem, meerval en crappie gewoon van houden. Er is veel van een grote stringer vis gevangen. Deze eigenschap omvat een grote, privé 18 'brede betonboot oprit en lanceerruimte met een boot docking pier in een beschermde cove aan de noordkant van het schiereiland. De zachte helling van de boottocht maakt het een ideale waden- en zwemzone voor uw kleintjes. De woning is ook slechts 1/4 mijl van een openbare boot helling. De pier voor het huis heeft een 16x16 drijvende dok met trappen die ideaal zijn om te zwemmen en te zonnebaden. Voor u geschiktheidsgevoelige mensen is er een eigen rijbaan die het spectaculaire schiereilandspunt omvat, ideaal om te wandelen of joggen. Het huis is volledig ingericht, inclusief wasmachine, droger, drie tv's met kabel en dvd's. WiFi is ook beschikbaar. Bed- en badlinnen zijn aanwezig. De keuken- en inlooppantry zijn voorzien van alle essentiële apparaten, kookgerei, serviesgoed en keukengerei. De twee verdiepingen tellende woning omvat op de begane grond de slaapkamer met eigen badkamer en wasplaats, eetkeuken, eetkamer en familiekamer en tweede bad. Op de bovenste verdieping zijn er drie slaapkamers, een derde bad, een kitchenette en een veranda. De veranda is de perfecte plek voor baby's en peuters om veilig en in schaduw te spelen.

Het huis slaapt negen zeer comfortabel. De MBR heeft een kingsize bed, de tweede BR heeft een queen size bed, de derde BR heeft twee aparte bedden, en de vierde BR heeft drie eenpersoonsbedden. Er zijn zowel overdekte als openstaande patio's. De patio's zijn ingericht met drie tafels, welke zitplaats 12, een bar / kroegtafel met barkrukken, een bankglijbaan en zeven terrasstoelen. Er is een elektrische en een houtskool grill. Bord- en kaartspellen zijn aanwezig.

Een paddle-boot voor 4 personen is te huur voor $ 40 per dag.

Lake Life

This was an excellent property and Marsha and Jerry, the hosts, were extremely attentive to our needs. the house is very well supplied with all your indoor and outdoor activities. Great boat ramp, great two (2) docks, great patio, grill, screened in porch, and easy access from the house to the water. My only complaint, and very minor, is that there is a 100 extra fee per pet. It is listed on the VRBO site and I thought that VRBO would collect it. They don't, so be prepared to pay if you bring a pet. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thank you Marsha and Jerry.

Awesome Family Lake Trip

Long weekend 4th of July trip and we had an awesome time! This house has a really nice view and having some kayaks was a plus! Plenty of seating outside. You will not find better hosts! We would stay here again.

Great outdoor space!

We had 10 adults stay comfortably with plenty of towels and blankets. I appreciated the little things, fully stocked kitchen(including keurig, crockpot, reg coffee pot with filters), plenty of towels and washcloths. 2 tables to seat us all in kitchen and outdoor tables we ate on as well. Extra chairs outside to pull up to tables too. I also appreciated my 2 -80 year old parents could sit comfortably outside(no steps)and could go to dock easily. The outdoor space is worth it. Perfect for the elderly. Lots of covered seating with umbrellas and cushions in good condition. She had blown off all leaves outside and had it nice on arrival. Nice dock seating as well. We fished off the dock, rented a boat and docked it there. We had a bonfire and grilled. Things to note: home has 1 king bed downstairs, all the rest of the beds upstairs. The room set up upstairs is a large bunk area with 3 twins overlooking screened porch, 2 twin connecting to that bedroom and a separate queen room. We all shared one bathroom upstairs. So the screened porch is less accessible with the bedroom right there and stairs or hill to get to it for the elderly. This setup would be ideal for kids upstairs and one set of parents. The home is older with unique quirky decor and paneling, but you can tell well kept and loved by the owner and repeat guests. I grew to appreciate all the paintings and signs throughout our stay. The fixtures and bathrooms are 1970s as pictured, but everything was in working order.

Beautiful lakefront access

We greatly enjoyed our family get together. The outside view and lake access were wonderful and the fish were definitely biting! Our boys fished until midnight and caught 30 or so fish! Kayaks were included and were great! We also enjoyed building a bonfire in the fire pit with the abundant wood provided. We took our 2 dogs and they had so much fun being allowed off leash to run and explore the large yard and woods surrounded on 3 sides by water. Great rental!! Thank you Marsha and Jerry for sharing your awesome property with us!

Great Lake front property!!

This was a great property with great amenities! The covered pier was a lifesaver (with 2 infants) while the kids swam there was a place to sit out of the sun!!(the pier had ceiling fans also—yay!!) The kayaks were an added treat!! The yard was fairly flat and there were no stairs you had climb down to get to the pier. It was a really beautiful setting!! The inside was adequate. It was clean. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked! The master bedroom was very nice.

Room to spread out

First of all Marsha and Jerry Hanks are just so friendly and accommodating! The rental property has it all! House is exactly as seen via internet. All the comforts of home including big screen tvs and fully equipped kitchen. The property has been thoughtfully landscaped with several areas to gather or to find a quiet spot to read. Could go on and on with nothing but good things to say about this stay! Best compliment I can give is that everyone voted to return next year!

Graduation celebration weekend

The outdoor feature of this property is by far 5 stars - you are right on the water with plenty of outdoor seating and a fire pit which we used two nights of our stay. The indoors is delightfully eclectic, retro and fun with plenty of room to eat, lounge and sleep. The only caution would be if you are trying to cook meals, the appliances are quite dated and you will need to take that into account. Otherwise, it was fantastic - great location!

perfect stay, as expected

everything about the stay was perfect, as expected. To be clear, the home is pretty dated and is probably a "new" home in the '80s, but there's nothing missing from it and it served our needs perfectly. The master bedroom is on the "main" level, which is the lower level, but it worked well for us since the inhabitants of that room had the elderly dog that couldn't go up stairs anyway. The remaining bedrooms are in the upper level, which is actually closer to the parking level, if you want to go in that way. The property is huge, and very peaceful and private. They're currently building the boathouse for those of you who want to bring or rent a boat. win-win. Only complaint i have is the upper level bathroom shower head is located at about 5' above the floor, so you have to duck down to get your head wet and shower. But otherwise it was a perfect stay! I've stayed at about a half dozen lake houses on Martin for AU games and this is in my top 2. Thanks!

We loved this house and property. The kitchen has every gadget you would ever need for cooking. It is very spacious with plenty of tables and chairs inside and out, has beautiful views with the sunset off the front. We did not want to leave. The owners are extremely nice.

Amazing host, beautiful place

We arrived on a Tuesday and stayed through Friday. We did not want to leave. The home was so comfortable and the beds were like sleeping on clouds. The description of the property is not an exaggeration. The hosts were great. I was able to meet Marsha and her husband. Marsha is an absolute joy to talk to. It's like she doesn't meet a stranger. She was very accommodating. I can completely understand why her property is continously rented out. People will always come back to the wonderful hospitality! Thank you Marsha! Wonderful lakefront retreat!

I can’t say enough great things about this classic, nostalgic lakefront home! Lots of room for 2 families! The 2 sets of parents had a room to ourselves and the teenagers each had a twin bed and their own space to hang out in. Beautiful views of the lake, easy to find by car, covered dock and floating dock to tie the boat up to, & another fishing pier on the property too! My husband was grateful to be able to use the on site boat ramp as well. Fully equipped with literally EVERYTHING you need! Just bring yourselves and your groceries. Marsha and Jerry are so nice, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Super hosts!! Can’t wait to go back! We had a wonderful time!

Auburn University Graduation Weekend

This home is a perfect location for everything Auburn! It was about a 30-40 minute drive into Auburn for our commencement ceremonies. The home is easy to find, GPS is right on the money. We booked in early August of last year and our anticipation was not in vain. Lovely property with well maintained home. The beds have brand new mattresses and the multiple twin beds were perfect for the comings and going's of our young adults. There was plenty of space for friends and family to gather for the after party! The patio and dock areas were just perfect for the beautiful day we were blessed with. Plenty of outdoor seating. The fire pit area was perfect for evenings outside roasting hot dogs and s'mores. The Hanks (owners) have stocked the pantry with plenty of serving ware and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The extra fridge upstairs really came in handy! We did have an issue with the air, but they were prompt to return messages and it was taken care of next day. The young adults in our group enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat while the youngest of us enjoyed the swim mat. We all did swim even though the water was a bit chilly. The fishing was fun, especially bobber fishing for bream in the evenings. And the sunsets are amazing. We are already planning to visit this lovely home again! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Hanks for sharing your beautiful place with us. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our girl!

Wonderful stay at Lake Martin

This is a terrific place at a great location. The pier has just been expanded & provides a wonderful setup to enjoy being on the lake, even though it is currently way down. Great plusses: plenty of room, both inside & outside; no hill to go up & down; fantastic views both upstairs & downstairs; plenty of chairs & tables on the Lake level; owner great to work with. Minus: upstairs kitchen had no utensils or cooking equipment. Overall: a great place that we hope to visit again.
