I went back when I saw they had availability the next 3 nights and they were able to put us in a ground floor room (I paid for a balcony) but it was still nice. 'Comfortable room with airco. Mattress was a bit too hard, but NASA foam like tops were available. Simple dinner, meat or fish, but very good taste. Good service. No swimming pool, but located 20m distance from the sea with 26°C water temperature in December. No alcohol served, due to license, but they said this was only temporarily. Room service for the second day at least did not show up.'

'This property is a rare example where the reality is better than the photos. It is so often the other way around. It is a unique villa, situated right on the beach with a safe and lovely swimming area just down the steps from the back garden. The pool is lovely if you don't fancy going in the sea, and you can walk along to see the green turtles arriving every morning and evening on Thalpe beach. This is one of the most majestic sights. 'Such an amazing place to stay. Located in a quiet area, but with very easy access to other areas. The hospitality we were shown was incredible. We have stayed in 8 hotels during our time in Sri Lanka, and this one is by far, our favourite. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, this place is a must stay.'
