Shower drain was clogged Sink drain was clogged Front desk clerk did not post my payment for incidentals expenses to my room. Therefore i could not charge my expenses to my room. We were seated at dinner table that was known to be broken. This is true because the Server told us "Sorry, but the screw is missing." The receipt for the meal did not print legibly because the ink ribbon has run out of ink. Hence could not read the receipt. We were instructed the New Years Eve event was formal attire. But witnessed people there in tanktops, cutoff shorts, and other non-formal attire. Very substandard for the cost. Should have stayed at OYO.

4泊しました。設備は新しく問題は無いが、バスタオル、フェイスタオルの交換はちゃんとできておらず足りなくなって連絡しないと持ってこない。アメニティは歯ブラシ、ミネラルウォーターはあるが綿棒は無し。南国らしくバスタブはありませんでした。 I stayed here for 4 nights. The facilities are new and there are no problems, but the bath towels and face towels are not changed properly and will not be brought back unless you call when you run out. Amenities include toothbrushes and mineral water, but no cotton swabs. There was no bathtub, as is typical in tropical countries.

Stay away! Bad hotel!
This is NOT a 4 star hotel. It should be rated 1 star. The entire hotel has a very bad smell, starting with the front lobby. We were there a total of 8 nights but had to switch rooms three (3) times because of issues. Our first room on the 6th floor was so smelly that we could not take it anymore and had to move. The person who cleaned our room told us that there have been complaints about the entire floor for a long time. We had to go to a store and buy 4 room fresheners, bleach, and other cleaning supplies; and used them to clean our own room. Our second room was on the 4th floor. Our sinks in the bathroom both leaked, so did our toilet. Plus the entire room still had a bad stench. I believe that the toilet leaked sewer gas into the room. At one point in time, it was so bad that we finally had maintenance re-caulk the toilet… which obviously they would not have done if we did not complain and if the smell was not atrocious. I finally had enough and asked the assistant manager on duty to move us, and then we were off to our third room. When we were there the entire bathroom mirror is lined with mold. The walls are cinder block and there are gaps where it is not even sealed or caulked. Of course the room still had a very bad smell; but at least we had our room fresheners and cleaning supplies. The hotel is shaped like a big “U” with the interior courtyard really being the pool—which nobody can or should use because hundreds of birds use it as a toilet. It’s awful.

We still here at the hotel from January 20 to 30. Food rating 10 Service for pool. Negative 0 We could not honestly believe what we were dealing with from one of our favorite stays. My family loves Dusit. We recommend this hotel every chance we come to Philippines we have never had an issue till now. The issue is the attendant st the pool. We have 3 1 bedroom suites. We all went down for an evening swim with the family. The attendant said my nephew could not get in the swimming pool because of his shorts. I have never heard of this. I went to the front desk and explained. So my nephew went upstairs and we had to get approval. This was 1 issue. 2nd issue. We we all asked that we needed to shower before we got in the pool which was understandable. Then next to us there was family but they were never told to take a shower before getting in the pool. We felt like we were singled out. We saw some of the guest wearing long sleeve tshirts and other types of shorts such as jean shorts swimming. There should be a sign stating the requirements of getting in the pool and what to wear and not to wear. However, one should not have to celebrate a special stay with family in such a manner.

Beautiful hotel but dont order room service
The stay was overall good other then the fact i had a roach in my coffee. I almost drank the roach. It was a small roach which tell me they are not clean in the kitchen and i will never order from room service from them. To top it off they respond can we compliment you with free fresh fruits. If i found a roach in my coffee, then why would i want fruits or anything? That was the best they can do.

JCLD Hotel hopping in Davao
We picked Dusit Thani because it’s the latest hotel in Davao City. We stayed for a night Booking thru hotels.com which I’ve been using for over 10yrs now. I don’t have any issues at all whether I pay in advance or pay at the hotel. In this booking, I received a confirmation # from hotels.com and Dusit sent me an email as well - they are excited to have me, which is a common email sent out by Dusit. When we arrived at the hotel, I mentioned my name and showed my reservation# to the reception. I was told that my reservation was cancelled. My first question was, how could it be when I received a series of emails with confirmation #, and emails from Dusit that my room was confirmed. We are not from Davao, and tired from our travels, I insisted for my reservation. Dusit team said that Hotels.com cancelled my reservation. After showing all the confirmation # and emails of my booking. There’s no way I will leave Dusit without a Rm. Whether the mistake was coming from Hotels.com or Dusit, we need to have a Rm. With the effort of the ladies at the reception, we finally got a Rm. King size bed, with balcony includes breakfast. It was not a good view but acceptable. Our stay turned out to be good. We did not use any of the amenities, maybe on our next stay. Room size okay, comfortable bed, snacks and mini bar available. Coffee maker and fridge, which I both used. Shower - water pressure was excellent. Most if all, staff were excellent! Yes, I will stay again.

Really enjoyed this place with my wife. They really take good care of you. It is very clean and friendly service. I did have some service issues, I’m not sure if they’re understaffed a bit but we did find it occasionally having to look for our server which could be annoying. Another issue was we got cold food twice on two separate outings. That really bothered and it really does take a toll on you when you have to shell out money for cold food. They do have a very nice pool and pool view from the room and nice large fish in a pool like tank/pond for a nice ambience. They have about 3 or 4 dining outlets and they also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as room service. Whatever you do, locate Diego, he can solve any problem you have. They have a fitness center that’s 24-hours which is a huge plus when you’re someone like myself who likes to workout at 5-6AM. Definitely staying here our next trip. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

Loved our stay. Check in and check out was fast and very efficient. The breakfast buffet was awesome and the room was clean and comfortable. The pool was refreshing. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
