DE CHALET
Ontsnap naar de bergen om deze 2 bd, 1 ba huisje aan het meer op Mirror Lake. Perfect voor een romantisch uitje of kamer voor uw hele gezin. Home biedt een ruime woonkamer, een volledig uitgeruste keuken en een bad. Geniet van vissen, kanoën, zwemmen en wandelen al uw voordeur. Nestle bij de gezellige open haard en geniet in de hot tub. Geniet van het uitzicht op Mirror Lake vanaf het ruime dek. Breng het hele weekend door op het meer en ga nooit weg, maar als u eropuit wilt, bent u binnen enkele minuten verwijderd van alle activiteiten in de Canaan Valley. Binnen 3 mijl van alle skigebieden, tube park, schaatsen en rodelen.

Nothing like the posting on Vrbo

The house/cabin was smaller than the pictures. It has a 70's smell to the house and 70's outdated house. There is not a lake on the property. It is a pond. There are other houses and office is right next door. This house is not secluded. Very disappointing. Stayed only one night and had it reserved for 3 nights. Asked for a late check out at 12:00 pm and was not accommodating.

Great Mountain Escape

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary weekend. The property is great. It is small, but it suited us well for our purposes. The view of the small lake and mountainside was wonderful. We woke up one morning to the snow-covered ground and the moon reflecting off the frozen lake—it was beautiful. The property manager was very responsive when we had an issue with there being too much chlorine in the hot tub—they had the issue fixed the same day I raised the issue with them. When we checked out and forgot some clothes that were hanging in the closet, the property manager promptly mailed them back to us which my wife, especially, greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again if/when visiting the Cannan Valley.

Great ski vacation

The property was great for our family with elementary aged kids plus grandparents. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Hot tub was great! Especially after a day of skiing. The location was wonderfully close to the ski resorts.

Cute Chalet, Perfect Getaway!

This chalet was the perfect size for our group of 5 we had. The little pond was the perfect size to relax by and spend some time on the water. Loved the paths around the pond to explore, perfect location for state parks in the area! Would recommend this to anyone, host was responsive and helped us with the damper on the fireplace!

Not worth the money.

Very different from the pictures. The chalet is not clean at all. The kitchen was so sticky. The whole place is Extremely out dated. The "lake" is a glorified pond very small and don't let the pictures fool you it is not secluded the reality office is right beside the chalet and very close to the main road. And if you do decided to go to the pond to kayak take your own life jackets the ones they provide are in a bin uncovered by the water and covered with bugs I was stung by a wasp trying to put one on. It's not worth 100$ let alone 600. Very disappointed we love staying in Davis every year but never this place again.

Great location and views but low cleanliness levels

The location is fantastic. Communication was great and easy. The place is gorgeous but requires a lot more cleaning and hygiene. I’d stay here again but I would urge the managers to have higher standards for cleaning.

Wonderful Place

We wanted to stay in the mountains for a different kind of vacation. We had a great experience. The check in was easy, the lady was very pleasant and helpful with ideas and suggestions. The house was magnificent. So neat and clean. It was like being at home without the noise and neighbors. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and grilling! We will definitely stay there again!

Not worth the money.

This 1974 chalet was our winter home base for a 3 day weekend. The space is cozy but lacks modernity. Little appears to have been updated within the past 20 years. The fireplace was wonderful, but we found the kitchen lackluster and small. The home is centrally located in the valley and sits on a little pond. We found several unappetizing bug traps. If you have a chance we wound not recommend spending your money visiting this property. We would recommend the owners reduce the cost.

Beautiful and Peaceful nature views

The property and surrounding areas were beautiful. The chalet was very clean, well stocked amd super cute. The lake was wonderful with access to kayaks and canoes to make a fun trip even better.

Not quite as advertised

The pictures of this property certainly make it seem like a chalet secluded in the woods on a lake. The reality is that you are surrounded by other houses, the rental office is literally right next to you, and there is a ton of road noise. Not at all secluded. In addition, the chairs on the front deck are not comfortable enough to spend any kind of time there, and the twin beds are too hard to sleep on. That being said, this would be an awesome place to vacation for a family with small kids. The closeness of the water activities to the house, etc. I would return here with small or school age kids in a heart beat. Definitely needs some improvement on the accuracy of the location and on some furnishings though.

Great cabin for relaxation!

We stayed here for a quiet get-away and were happy with our stay. The communication with the host was great as was the after hours check-in process. The lake makes for a beautiful view out the front windows and deck. Canaan Valley is beautiful!

Super cute with a great view

Great little cabin perfect for the weekend with our little family. Loved waking up to the views of the lake just out front. Everything was perfectly clean inside and out. Kitchen well stocked for actual cooking which is super nice when you have kids. Beds were comfortable and clean. We had a great time even though it was cool and rainy. The lake looked like it would be fun for fishing and paddle boats. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

Cabin was clean and very spacious for a family of 5. Young adult “kids” enjoyed theirbown area upstairs with plenty of sleeping space. The view is spectacular. Love sitting on the deck with coffee in the morning as the fog lifts from mountains.
