Only an hour from London year round Glamping in the historic Kent countryside yet a short drive from the coast. Unwind in surroundings that will be sure relax you. The cinque port towns of Sandwich and “bohemian” Deal, with its pier and abundance of bars and eateries are all very close by. Our property was Featured in the Times newspaper in 2022 as one of UK’s best Glamping facilities.
A combination of 3 high end shepherds huts and 2 2-bedroomed Safari Tents are appointed to a standard rarely seen providing superb comfort. Each accommodation boasts its own en-suite facilities with toilet, walk-in shower, vanity and sink. “Sweet Briar” hut has a roll top copper and nickel bathtub for extra comfort and amenity. Fresh linens, towels and toiletries are provided to all accommodation and an optional on-site maid service is also available.
The plot is secluded with ample off road parking for several vehicles. Guests can also enjoy complimentary high speed wireless internet connectivity. Taking pride of place in the centre of the site is an open air lounge deck featuring a 4 person round “jacuzzi” hot tub. A clubhouse for guests include its own bar and BBQ cook out area along with seating for a gathering of up to 18 guests.
The hideaway is at Ham Sandwich and a perfect base for golfers as within easy reach is Royal St. George’s, Royal Cinque Ports and Princes golf clubs. Other nearby attractions include Dreamland at Margate, Sandwich river bus, Dover rib rides and Whitemills wake and acqua park. Canterbury, Broadstairs and Whitstable are all around 25 mins drive from the hideaway.
For those inclined it’s the perfect base for star gazing the night away on the deck! Within walking distance is the AA rosette award winning restaurant at The Blazing Donkey where hideaway guests enjoy priority treatment.
