We had a large group of 15 people and had plenty of space to stretch out and not be on top of anyone. Facilities met or exceeded all our expectations. We would highly recommend anyone needing a place to stay with a lot of room and a great view of the river to stay here.

Wonderful wedding weekend
This was the perfect place for our weekend stay for our son's wedding at Lee University Chapel in Cleveland. Very spacious, well equiped kitched for feeding large group. The views were breathtaking! Highly recommend this for a family getaway, graduation, special event with a large group!

River House
This was our second year in a row that our family brought in the New Year at this fabulous property! There was enough bedrooms and space to accommodate all 13 of us. We loved the hot tub and played a lot of pool games. Great fun for the teenagers as well as us adults. Management was quick to respond to our concerns. Highly recommend this property!

It seems this property has been neglected by the owner. There were light sockets hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen, exposed wiring in the living room, the fireplace has obviously been out of order for some time, and other small things not kept up. The heating and air didn't work on one part of the house, we could only get one burner to work on the range (they did send a repairman out), you have to put the sheets on the bed yourself, and a few more cleanliness issues. Things like poor quality and old linens and towels when paying the nightly price are a disappointment, too. The property manager was very kind and prompt to respond. I think the actual owner needs to spend time and money to get this property in top shape again.

Beautiful location, amazing property!
We rented this house for a family reunion and it was pretty perfect for our needs. There were a few cleanliness issues that were addressed by the host immediately after notification, but otherwise this house was perfect for us. The rural location was peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. We all enjoyed waking up to the amazing lake views, hiking around the area, and exploring the house and little stony beach. Having enough space was vital and this house had space to spread out while still allowing us to have intimate conversations and cozy evenings together.

Amazing Stay
This was our second time at this wonderful home. We come to Dayton for the National Volleyball Tournament. We love the space it provides, and the view of the lake is amazing. This house is in a private area and also close to town, so it works out perfect for everyone's needs. I highly recement this home for any visit.

We had a great week at the lake house. It is on the river and was very quiet and peaceful. Renting a boat was a great way to explore the river, and swim. If your going there to fish not many fish are biting. Fished from morning until dark many different locations and only coughs 2 bigger fish. House pretty much everything you will need. The owners very attentive and responsive.

Family reunion
The house is very large and can easily accomodate 14 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 small children. Very beautiful and perfect lake/river view. We rented a pontoon boat and that was fun. Misty, the host, is very nice and responsive to any needs you might have. Lot of steps to the river front. You will get a nice workout while you're there.

Chickamauga Lake House
Our stay here was bringing in the New Year with the family. The house had everything we all could ask for.. The rooms are large with such a unique architect. Our older teenage grand children thoroughly enjoyed the large game room downstairs and the hot tub was a big hit for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials and then some. Our only complaint was there is no overhead lighting above the large stove making it some what difficult to cook dinner. All in all we had just a totally great stay and have booked again for next New year's. weekend. Thank you Misty for answering our couple of questions so promptly.

River House

An AMAZING House
The description of this house was spot on! It was the most amazing trip we have taken with the family! My parents and my husbands parents moved to Florida years ago and we don’t see each other at Christmas any more. So we rented this house as a great place in between FL and IN to meet up for a long weekend family Christmas this year and my brother and his family came for the weekend too! The house was spacious enough for all of us and we even had an empty room! We did a lot of cooking on that amazing gas stove, enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub too! OMG and the shower in the master bathroom was top notch! We will absolutely return!!!

My friends and I rented this home for a Friendsgiving get together and it was spectacular!! The check in process was easy as could be, the house was clean and very well stocked with supplies! We used the kitchen a ton and everything we needed was there. There was so much space to roam around! We loved the hot tub, bar area, and the decks!! The view was even better then pictured...we even saw a bald eagle up close! We're all hoping to come back again next year. Loved the entire experience!!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend
Our daughter got married this weekend and we needed a home big enough to house our family and the bridesmaids. This home exceeded our expectations. The home and the view are absolutely beautiful! Wedding 9/9/2022
What a beautiful place to have a wedding. We set up in the driveway and used our backdrop as myrtle trees and ivy walls. We held our reception on the back porches overlooking the water. Couldn't ask for anything better. The main level holds two gorgeous master bedrooms one with a bathroom to die for and the other has bathroom right around the corner that also can be utilized for guests off the main area. Large laundry room, living room and dining room. Lower level has five spacious bedrooms nicely decorated, one small bathroom with stand up shower and bar area. Hot tub on lower deck. Stairs leading to dock and very steep driveway leading to water (would not recommend driving vehicle if you want to launch kayak) doable but be cautious and huge incline going back up. We accommodated 20 guests comfortably. We hope this property is still available for our one year anniversary even if it is just the husband and I staying inside this enormous home. It will be cherished forever as a memory where we started our future. Misty - property manager was absolutely amazing. Could not ask for a more kinder, responsive individual. Kudos to her for such a fine job she does.

Amazing Place with Amazing Amenities
The space was huge and very accommodating for a large party. Plenty of space for people to all hang out together, yet also enough space to be by yourself if needed. Misty (property manager) was easy to contact and resolve issues if needed. Zach ( pontoon rental) was very accommodating and cut us an even better deal then what was originally set up! I have nothing but praise for this property!

40th birthday
We rented this lake house for my husbands 40th birthday and it was great! We had about 15 people (mostly couples) and the bedrooms worked out well. The entire downstairs in a bar/game room. We rented a pontoon boat from the cottonport marina which is less than a 5 min drive and even shorter distance on the water. The house was clean, spacious and beautiful. It thankfully had tons of chairs to bring down to the fire pit and to sit on the dock with. There is only 3 bathrooms which got a little hard at times with 15 people but that was the only thing. You won't regret choosing this lake house! We left a nice cornhole set for future guests!

Relaxing on the river
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, from first thing in the morning sitting on the deck watching the river go by, to time spent on the available to rent pontoon boat, swimming off the dock, and watching the sunset from the deck once more. Plenty of space for a large group. We spent almost all our time on the river but many games and cornhole boards were available at the house. Would love to come back sometime.

Great Time With Family
We spent a week here with our adult children and their spouses /friends. We had a great time! The steps to the dock were a bit of a challenge for some of us, but there is so much to do in this beautiful home that we didn't mind skipping the dock Our hostess, Misty, was great!! Communication was great, with all texts being answered almost immediately. Keep in mind that you need to bring c one-shaped coffee filters for the supplied coffee maker! Overall, a wonderful trip where we made many great memories with our family!

A mostly great week
We rented the Chickamauga river house, the house next door and a small cabin nearby. We also had one couple that slept in a camper at the CottonPort marina. About 26 all together - never more than 14 overnight in this house. The views from the house are beautiful, the dock is large, the boathouse accommodates the boat we rented from the house owner. There are a LOT of steps to get from the house to the dock, but they seemed well built and stable. The house is large with some interesting architectural choices. There are only three bathrooms - but we knew that going in. The furniture and decor is very nice. DIRECTV is available - but no WiFi. Cell service is adequate - we were usually able to complete FaceTime calls and Zoom meetings. Ice is always an issue in a large rental; unfortunately the ice machine at the bar area was not working (labeled OTS). The nearest commercial ice is less than two miles away at the marina. Zach at the marina is a good person to get to know. The kitchen was equipped about average for a rental house - which is to say - not great. We always bring our own knives. One area that needs improvement is the flatware. In a house that is advertised as “sleeps 18”, there were only 11 forks and fewer than 18 spoons. Plates and bowls were also sparse. We bought some paper plates, bowls and some plastic flatware and all was good. Two of the eyes on the six burner cooktop were labeled as inop. We found that they worked just fine - the auto ignition was inop, just use a manual lighter and all good. The large dumpster out front is not attractive, but it is super functional. Trash handling at many rental houses is a problem - here it was quick and easy. We did not have any problems that required calling the property manager, so I can’t comment on response time. Other folks in our group may have a different take - but I would say that we had a very good experience here - just be sure to seriously think about “just three bathrooms in a 7 bedroom house “.

Beautiful Area
The area is absolutely beautiful, especially near and on the water. The location couldn't be better. The marina is very accommodating and easy to work with if you choose to rent a boat. The hot tub flashed "needed cleaned 9 days ago" while we were there and the downstairs bath is a little beat up. I would recommend bringing a few of your own pots and pans if you plan to cook. That being said, we enjoyed our time very much and could not be more pleased with the space this house provided for our large family gathering.

Wendy, I apologize about the hot tub flashing the "needing to be cleaned notification ", we had the panel replaced not too long ago and I wasn't there when they replaced it so I didn't get a manual of any kind to learn how to operate it exactly. So I'm not entirely certain on how to reset it once it has been cleaned. But I assure you that it was cleaned prior to your arrival. The pots and pans in the kitchen have been through alot of guests. Guests that don't always treat them very well. However we are in the process of getting new ones . I apologize that they did not arrive before your visit with us. Great for large groups.
We stayed here for my wedding. It is a beautiful property and great for our 20 people group. Upon arrival we noticed that some things were not working that weren't listed in the description. The bar lights were not working and the ice maker was out downstairs. Also, 2 of the bedrooms sheets smelled like smoke. We had 2 pregnant people with us and they cannot breathe in smoke. The house was a little dirtier than I expected. Overall it was a great stay and our group had a great time. We rented the two pontoon boats and had a great time on the water.

This was the perfect home for a long weekend getaway celebrating our daughter’s graduation from Lee University. We had 20 people and it slept everyone beautifully. Attractive river location
We are a group of retired couples and friends who enjoy getting together once or twice a year. The house was very spacious, well maintained, and located on a beautiful site overlooking the Tennessee River. When minor problems arose, the manager responded promptly and courteously. Prospective guests should be aware of the odd distribution of bedrooms and baths (two each upstairs; 5 BR's and one bath downstairs). We were aware of this beforehand, so it is not a complaint against the owner. Also, access to the river is very steep and would be a challenge to anyone with limited mobility. Overall, this was a nice place, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Great Lake House for Large Family Trips
The house has plenty of room for a large family trip. We had 10 people total, but could have accommodated many more. The house was decently stocked for what we needed and everything operated as described. The dock was nice with safe tie up for a 21’ bay boat. The water level in this reservoir varies by the hour so monitor your ties. The hot tub on the lower level and and main level back porch were a favorite. The only issue we observed was that this large property could use some basics, like a replacing the lightbulbs that are burned out, or a good cleaning of overhead areas. I do understand it is likely quite the task to keep this home fully maintained. Overall a great experience!

We get together with a group of friends at least twice a year, and enjoy visiting Tennessee. The home is lovely, spacious, very clean and well-appointed. There were a couple of small issues that were very promptly and satisfactorily addressed. All in all, we couldn’t have been happier!

The house overall was beautiful, spacious and clean. The only complaint I have is that the sink fell on the last night! That would have ruined the trip had it happened when we arrived. Everyone had room to move around and we really really enjoyed ourselves! I would definitely return and recommend.

Great space for our large family!
The house was great for our large family to celebrate Christmas together! The river views and hot tub were both very much enjoyed. It's a huge house so understandable to miss a few minor spots when cleaning, debris under the couch and a sock under the bed. Bathrooms were very clean which we all appreciated very much! It was ideal for our family and we would not hesitate to rent it again. Some suggestions: Label light switches and replace burnt out light bulbs. Instructions on how to operate the master shower. Put another long table between kitchen bar and fireplace. Organize and label kitchen cabinets. Maybe w a picture on inside of door. Need more cereal size bowls. Fix the 2 stove burners that aren't working. Bonuses: View! The game room area! Hot tub! 3 refrigerators! Laundry room. Especially the extra counter space! Number of beds! Over all space for being together wo feeling crowded! We loved our stay at the Chickamauga River House!

Fun get away
This house has plenty of room for large groups. Three refrigerators, comfortable beds and plenty of sitting options inside and out. They had many board games to choose from if you did not want to play pool or ping pong. The water is out the door and down the steps. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Things you might want to fix before you rent it again
Missing lightbulbs/lights everywhere. Cobwebs in the high ceilings The garage fridge was not working and smelled like dead fish The ice maker in the kitchen fridge and the ice maker in the bar did not work The sheets were not on the beds and we had to do that. I think I may have left bags of potatoes under the over in a drawer and no one has called me back so that I can tell them. Call with any questions.

Daughters wedding
We rented this property to be closer to wedding venue my daughter had chosen. And we had family from California and other areas that came out for wedding. Such a great time. I saw complaints from other reviews about lack of internet. Well frankly it is so beautiful here, put the phones away and enjoy your time here, get out and enjoy the views. But all our phones seemed to work properly and get to sites. The views are amazing. My daughter Erin, the bride we gave the back larger room, she said she never felt so pampered!! We hope all to meet up again there when we have more time to visit.
