Welkom bij de Sasquatch Cottage! Dit huis is perfect voor een gezin of gewoon een chillweekend weg met vrienden. Grote en privé veel in Glacier Springs. Perfect uitje voor elk moment van het jaar! Dichtbij Mt. Baker Ski Area. Geniet van dit nieuw afgewerkte vakantiehuis met veel licht / ramen, een grote open woonkamer / eetkamer / keuken. De sauna en het terras zijn net in oktober 2014 gebouwd. Geniet van de vuurplaats buiten. Dit prachtig gebouwde vakantiehuis beschikt over 2 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers en ligt net tussen Maple Falls en Glacier in Washington ... Slechts 4 mijl in beide richtingen naar restaurants, bars, schilderachtige bergsteden. Geniet van de omgeving: Olympic National Forest, meren, kreken, watervallen, wandelingen, uitzicht op de bergen en gletsjers!

Gezellig en ruim huis met één verdieping. Veilig voor baby's / peuters (pack & play inbegrepen bij verblijf). Alle nieuwe keukenapparatuur en het meeste kookgerei dat u nodig heeft. Gasfornuis en zachte lederen banken. Wasmachine / droger in de modderkamer met een tweede ingang. Vaatwasser in keuken. Geen huisdieren of roken toegestaan, dus het is een geweldige plek om te verblijven als u allergisch bent voor beide.

Voorzieningen zijn onder andere sauna, wifi, 55 'flatscreen-tv, dvd-speler, bordspellen, grote tuin en toegang tot de rivier vanuit de buurt.

Nabijgelegen activiteiten zijn onder andere snowboarden, skiën, langlaufen, vissen, wandelen, raften, bergbeklimmen, kajakken, kanoën, zwemmen, vogels kijken (Amerikaanse zeearenden), wild te bekijken, bezienswaardigheden bekijken, watersporten, wijnproeven (Mt. Baker Vineyards), casino, winkelen.

Gelegen op slechts 35 minuten ten oosten van Bellingham, WA, 2 uur naar Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, 1 uur naar Vancouver, BC, 30 minuten naar Abbotsford, BC. Slechts 45 minuten naar Bellingham International Airport.

This is a beautiful cabin in an excellent location for reaching hiking trails along Mount Baker highway. Lovely, quiet neighborhood and we could see Mount Baker from the road just as we turned into the community.

Wonderful! The cabin was very clean and well supplied. We appreciated that it included laundry facilities. Beds were very comfortable. Loved all the hooks and outlets. The location was great. We appreciated that our host allowed us to check out an hour later than scheduled due to an unexpected road closure.

Comfortable, well-equipped, easy - but realize you'll be asked to purchase damage insurance

Spacious and well-equipped, quiet neighborhood, convenient location. Sauna works nicely. Only downside is requirement of either extravagant security deposit or damage insurance purchase - basically, another "gotcha" surprise NOT included in the displayed price, exposed only after you start to book. Since I decided to book anyway, I did not take any "stars" off the rating - but this is NOT fully transparent business practice, both VRBO and owner need to realize that.

We had a nice stay. It’s a great place in a beautiful location. The Nooksack River valley and the Mt. Baker area are wonderful places to see. The fall colors were amazing.

Great Cabin, great location

My husband, daunghter, and I spent a few days at this cabin and it was perfect. Comfortable, wifi, kitchen worked well. Appreciated the front porch for morning coffee. Everything was clean and cozy. We had a lovely visit and enjoyed some local hikes!

Great house (one issue).

The house was perfect - clean, well equipped, in a charming neighborhood and within about 45 minutes to the trailheads. Just an FYI about communications. Less than three days before check-in I received an email from the owner informing me that the house was under a boil water alert and had been since February. I was assured the situation had improved such that some locals were using the water but Gina suggested bringing bottled water for drinking and cooking. She offered a full refund but at such a last minute notice I would have had to cancel my flight from the east coast and my daughter would have to lose planned vacation time. I understand these things happen and the situation ultimately was manageable. However, it was extremely stressful to get this news just days before our trip and with no helpful information about the nature of the water contamination nor information or resources about what we would need to do to keep ourselves healthy (e.g., how to wash dishes, if showering was safe), leaving it to us to find that information ourselves. After much research on my own, and finding a wealth of info on the local property owners association website (glaciersprings.org) I decided to accept a compromise of a $200 refund and proceed with our plans while bringing a LOT of bottled water. Aside from the annoyance and necessary precautions my bigger gripe is the last minute notification. We appreciated the refund and had a wonderful vacation in Gina’s great house!

Very relaxing

It was easy to find, though Google maps was not accurate once into Glacier Springs. We appreciated the big towels - and the fans since it was hot during our stay. We only needed to add food and beverage for everything to be perfect. We were pleased with how quiet it was - exactly what we needed. We did Mt. Baker twice, Bellingham, Abbotsford, and Silver Lake. We will return!

Excellent stay for the mount baker area

The place was the perfect stay for hiking around the mount baker area! The house looks just like in the picture and it was clean. There was even a creek right behind the development that we could relax at after our hikes. The host was very responsive when I asked to change my booking. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you’re staying with 4 or 5 people because then it’s pretty affordable.

Clean and comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location close to Mt. Baker. There was still quite a bit of snow on some of our hikes, so later in June might have been better for some of the trails we chose. The weather was perfect and much warmer than expected: sunny and 80 degrees every day. The cabin was comfortable for us and our three kids and nice and clean. It was supplied with everything we needed. We would definitely be interested in renting again when we are in the area.
