Upon arrival at ~3:30pm (check-in time = 3pm), we paid for the room and $50 security deposit. We got our room key and went to our room to find the window open ~6" and the frame was bent (unable to lock). The switch on one night stand lamp did not work half the time and the bathroom fan screamed like something was dying in it. We went to the office and asked for another room and were given another room, but were told we had to wait 20 minutes as it was still being cleaned. Upon entering the 2nd room, the smell of cleaning products was overpowering and neither night stand lamp had a cord. Also, we could not locate the bathroom fan. There also appeared to be a very large "reddish-brown" stain on the carpet. We went back to the office and they offered us the "Suite" and was given a key. When I went to check the "Suite", the key did not work at all. At this point we went back to the office and told them we could not stay there. They gave us a refund for the 2nd & 3rd nights reservation, but would not refund us the 1st nights stay. We also got a refund for the Security deposit($50). These refunds are pending at this time.
We ended up staying at a Best Western(BW) a couple blocks away that was 10X nicer, cleaner and safer. Truckers at the BW even commented they don't stay that the Americas Best Value Inn as it is extremely unsafe.
We DO NOT recommend the Americas Best Value Inn.
