Himmelhaus
We spent one month in the small, studio apartment and then switched to the full-sized apartment for a second month. It was a perfect base for us to spend the holidays near our daughter and her family. The larger apartment also allowed us to have a perfect place for my husband to recover from hip surgery… no steps! Kitty was so accommodating and we thank her for creating a cozy home base for our lengthy visit to Evergreen.

Epic Stay in Evergreen
We loved this location in a quiet, classic Evergreen neighborhood, in the foothills, with stunning views! Location is central to many hiking and biking trails. The property is well appointed with all the essentials. Kitty was an attentive, fun and interesting host! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Kitty is knowledgeable about all things Evergreen and introduced us to favorite trails, restaurants and other activities of interest. It will definitely be my go-to place when back in Evergreen!

Nice getaway in mountains
This property is nice with some beautiful views and its own little forest area with a great overlook. The property was well furnished with dinnerware and cookware, and had plenty of spices, coffee and snacks. Communication was very good with owner and she provides some nice tips of the surrounding area. A couple of things to be sure to be aware, mattress on the queen bed is very worn and soft and is very hard for 2 people to sleep without rolling back towards each other in the middle, the couch does pull-out but a beautiful (and very heavy) marble table would have to be moved to pull it out - my daughters wound up just sleeping on the L-sofa instead of pulling it out. We didn't see a summer garden as mentioned in the description and, as mentioned, this is the 1st floor of the owners 2 story home, but you are sectioned off from the owner's level with your own private entry. The picture off the balcony is actually the owner's level. There is no AC, which is probably not an issue most of the time, but we did get a couple of warm days in August and forest fire smoke in the area came in through the windows at night. Overall, very nice stay with plenty of great hikes only a short drive and a great restaurant just down the hill. Very good owner communication, clean home and beautiful views from the forest sitting area.

The Getaway I needed.
The place was just what I needed. It was clean and the place was spacious enough for my two friends and I. Kitty was very welcoming, and very responsive. The best part of the stay was the private forest close to the house. The view from the edge of the forest was just breath-taking. This is a place I will be visiting in the future.

My husband, 5yr old son, and I enjoyed our stay in Kitty's home. She was so welcoming and friendly. She has plenty of toys for our son and the space way great because it had everything we needed and then some! We loved the views. We definitely recommend!

Clean accommodations with a view.
Kitty is a wonderful hostess, and the view is incomparable. The property is clean and as advertised. The premises could be less cluttered, and provide more surfaces for guest’s effects. A folding suitcase rack for each guest would be appreciated, as would be the ability to open the bedroom windows with ease. But the wonderful aspect of Kitty’s lair is the view from the private front deck which has a retractable canvass awning and a peaceful little waterfall, where I spent many mornings and quiet evenings enjoying the best ambiance that the Rockies have to offer.

Beautiful location and views in a quiet neighborhood. A lot of animals that my daughter loved seeing. Very convenient to Evergreen, Conifer, and Morrison. We loved every bit of it and Kitty had toys and conveniences for our toddler, which is much appreciated.

Fabulous Fun Stay
My time at Himmelhaus far surpassed my expectations! The views were incredible and the accommodations warm and lovely. What impressed me the most were the added amenities that made it feel like home, i.e., robe and slippers, sauna, and welcome snacks and a bottle of wine! The attention to detail was wonderful and not common. Last but not least, Kitty was awesome! We spent large amounts of time laughing and talking, and I definitely felt like part of the home. I wanted to book again, but she was already full, so don't delay in booking Himmelhaus!

Himmelhaus is amazing!
We stayed at Himmelhaus for three consecutive days. We had the most wonderful time there. The pictures do not do it justice. It's very charming and clean, has beautiful views and smells divine when you walk in, like a spa! Kitty, the host, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. We would recommend Himmelhaus to everyone!

Himmelhaus is a beautiful home in an ideal location. Evergreen is so beautiful! Kitty has truly thought of every need one might have when away from home. Charming home nestled in the mountains!
Well-appointed, charming two-bedroom home tucked into the side of a beautiful mountainside complete with all the comforts of home. The owner was lovely and knowledgeable of the area and even provided a special blanket and seat back to us for a concert at Red Rocks. The wildlife was abundant, including deer feasting on her garden! I highly recommend this property and will definitely book again.

Roomy apartment with mountain charm and views.
Our family of 4 adults loved this apartment which provided nature and activities for the rest of the family while I was working in the city. Our host, Kitty, was gracious, offering a few nice welcoming perks like bread and milk. The place is quiet and private. Since our area was on the ground floor, Kitty was willing to share her upper deck with us, where the very best views are found. This space would also great for families with children. For a mountain retreat, it is fairly easy to navigate for someone with limited mobility. You can drive right up to the door. (Our family member struggles with stairs and there are only a total of 4 steps here... with 3 being very wide steps outside that you could use a walker with.) The location is ideal for nature lovers. You are in the mountains, but with easy access to suburbs and towns (30-45 min for most anywhere you'd want to visit in the area.) I reccommend Evergreen, only 10 min away... so charming. The commute to downtown Denver was about 45-60 min each day. We used Uber a few times in the area and they even came up to the house once... but I would not count on ride-sharing being available to come up during rush hour. I would absolutely stay again and recommend Himmelhaus to others. There is a reason Kitty is a primere partner.

Beautiful AND Lovely
Kitty is such a gracious host. Made us feel welcome without impeding on our privacy. Four mile deer came through on our last morning. They were not timid at all. We slept in the front bedroom and watched Mount Evans under the full moon. It was beautiful in the morning sun too.

The property was well kept and in a nice location with beautiful views.
The property was well stocked with everything we could have needed, including some starters like milk, eggs, bread, cereal, coffee and more. It was greatly appreciated. There was a room with twin beds and they were fine however the queen size bed was a little soft and my husband and I kept rolling to the middle of the bed. It only happened to me once before with a home away property that when I came home unexpected the owner of the property was in the house. When you pay as much as you do for some of these home aways you expect privacy. Other wise we had a lovely stay.

Deb I sometimes need to access the apartment downstairs, as this is where the furnace is located, as is the washer and dryer. I knocked loudly, but because your father is hard of hearing he did not answer the door, although I heard movement inside. I peaked in and then walked toward him sitting on the couch so that he could hear me. I asked him if everything was o.k. if the apartment was warm enough and whether he needed to use the washer. He said he was "fine" and I left. Deb you were not at home at the time so you did not come home "unexpectedly" to find me in the apartment. I am sorry that you feel this was an invasion of your privacy. My concern was to not disturb anyone by using the washer and to check if you needed it. I do want to thank you for leaving the apartment so clean. You even did the laundry which is more than anyone could expect. Should you chose to stay with me again, I would not charge you a cleaning fee. As a retired nurse, please know that I would be happy to check in on your dad in the event you want to go out for the day. Thank you for being a wonderful guest. Kitty

Great stay and desperately needed vacation
Aug. 26 - Sept. 4, had a great stay! The hospitality and location were outstanding. I looked forward to my morning conversations with Kitty. My blood pressure dropped to my pre-medication days 40 years ago when I could go out Fri. night and return home Sun. afternoon. The quiet evenings were a blessing, I was still on east coast time so I got up early to watch the sun rise. Seeing A-Basin in the summer was a trip after skiing there in the winter. Eisenhower Pass is a must do, not to mention all the great hiking. My family and I loved it!

Satisfied all our needs
We absolutely loved our accommodations and Kitty was invaluable. Her thoughtfully appointed home had everything we needed. Even though there was only one shower, five of us were able to prepare for a wedding without getting in each other's way. How?? There were plenty of mirrors and accessible electrical outlets, so that everyone could shower and find their own space to get ready. The roomy sofa and recliner chair accommodated everyone in comfort. Kitty's home is a spacious retreat with a relaxing deck where we spent hours, morning and evening, enjoying the sweet air and scenic views. Kitty even provided filtered water and food items. The washer & dryer were a plus. We loved it and plan to return as soon as we can.

Great views. Enjoyed the stay and location.
Late May snowfall sure made the views spectacular. Was awesome to have breakfast stocked upon arrival since the roads were slick the following morning. Easy access and accompanidating owners. Town of Evergreen has a lot of character. Fun time.

Homey mountain get away
My husband and I stayed on the lower level of Kitty's home. It's up and on a mountain with beautiful views. kitty was very hospitable. There were some basic food items in the fridge, towels, and all linens, and the kitchen had basically anything you could need to cook anything. It only took us about 20-25 minutes to get to red rock amphitheater, which is a MUST! There were also a bunch of cute shops and some places to eat that were close by.

Enjoyed our stay.
Kitty is a great host. She was friendly and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for 4 adults and one toddler, including having eggs, milk, butter and fruit in the frig and other items for our breakfasts. The setting is beautiful with fabulous views and the apartment we stayed in on the lower level of her home is spacious and comfortable. Some of the floors are carpeted and some not. The uncarpeted floors were slippery and we found that w needed to walk carefully on them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This house was awesome with fantastic views
We traveled from New York and where very pleasantly surprised as to how great the house and location turned out to be. Everything was as described or better, the host Kitty was great, warm and interested in our stay. The house worked out great for us because we were visiting family in Denver but wanted to experience the real Colorado. We are thinking about staying here again and would recommend this place to others.

Beautiful view, superb hospitality!
Kitty thinks of everything down to the smallest details. We arrived at midnight after a long day of travel and Kitty greeted us and showed us our "home". Oh my goodness, very spacious ( we stayed in the two bedroom private home which is the entire lower level of the house). She had eggs, milk butter and coffee for our first morning meal with a fully stocked kitchen. The view is beautiful and the location is close to town, hiking and activities. We went to Red Rocks for a concert and the location is great for that as well. Kitty is an awesome hostess offering suggestions for dining, hiking etc. We hated to leave!

Beautiful place, beautiful view, wonderful homeowner!
We had a wonderful time at Kitty's Himmelhaus over Spring Break! The view was fantastic, the house was well kept and clean, and well stocked. We had lots of snow, which was great for the views and for skiing, but not so great for driving. I very strongly recommend a 4WD SUV if you visit when any snow or ice may be present. Although we slid into a ditch with the snow, Kitty was extremely helpful in offering her assistance, and we eventually dug our way out, and made it to the ski slopes. It was great to have a kitchen and washer and dryer available, as well as two toilets, and plenty of room to sleep!

Wonderful, peaceful atmosphere.
We really enjoy the stay at 8500 feet hight. Nice house, all the necessities were there. Owner was very kind and caring. My kids enjoyed the residence because it was close to all the fun places. I will highly recommend this place.
