"By The Bay" is een accommodatie voor volwassenen en geniet van een van de meest unieke, altijd veranderende, zeegezichten over de hele kust. De golfactie is spectaculair en erg therapeutisch, vooral tijdens de frequente winterstormen. We genieten ook van een uitzicht op de mariene tuin tijdens eb en vloed. De charterboten komen altijd in ons zicht als ze de walvissen vinden.

Deze gezellige slaapkamer met één slaapkamer is een beveiligd en privé "thuis ver van huis". Dit appartement bevindt zich op de begane grond zonder trappen, ideaal voor 2 VOLWASSENEN. We zijn ten minste 60 'boven de oceaan en slechts 100 m. van de rotsachtige kustlijn. We zijn centraal gelegen en op loopafstand van de haven en alle restaurants, winkels en andere bezienswaardigheden van Depoe Bays. Ons appartement met één slaapkamer bevindt zich op de begane grond, aan de oceaanzijde, en bevindt zich in hetzelfde gebouw als onze Townhome met drie bedden van 1200 m². De ingangen en parkeerplaatsen bevinden zich aan weerszijden van het gebouw. Er is een 6 'cementmuur die volledige privacy biedt en de Chinese lounge "Wing Wa" deelt van de verhuur. Het zeer populaire 'Tidal Raves' Oceanfront Restaurant & een stadspark bevinden zich aan de overkant van Hwy. 101. "Tidal Raves" opent elke dag om 11.00 uur & sluit voor de maand januari voor één maand elk jaar. Dit romantische, schone en gezellige appartement met één slaapkamer is afgewerkt met "Alaskan, Old Growth Cedar". Breng je 78, 45 of 33 RPM-records om te spelen op de Victorla-draaitafel. Het huis heeft alle tegelvloeren, een gas open haard, een nieuwe koningin traagschuim matras, plus dezelfde voorzieningen als onze stad naar huis. Deze accommodatie heeft een eigen, beschutte, met wind beschutte patio "Alaskan Old Growth Cedar" met uitzicht op de oceaan. Deze eenheid is het meest geschikt voor 2 VOLWASSENEN. Tijdens de drukke seizoen (mei-september) een drie nachten minimum verblijf. Kortere verblijven zijn alleen mogelijk als invullingen. The apartment was in a great location and just a quick walk to the strip in Depoe Bay. Our only complaint was we could smell cigarette if we ran the bathroom fan and the smell of pot was overwhelming at night in bedroom. We understand in Oregon it is legal, but do not enjoy the smell at all. No windows or doors were open as it is winter so not sure why the smell would come so strong into the bedroom. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

The view was the best thing about it. The daylight basement apartment set my allergies going the moment we walked through the door. The place was full of clutter and Knick knacks, blankets and pillows everywhere. Despite this we were enjoying the great view and interesting photos on the walls while doing what we went to the beach to do. The person who let us in was very kind and responsive. Thursday evening he gave my husband permission to use the hose bib to wash his boat motors. The next morning I found a voice mail from Walt, who was not the person who gave permission for the water use. Walt left a very grumpy message about NOT using the water and how much money it's costing him. This pretty much spoiled the weekend for me. He was obviously keeping an eye on our every move and didn't check in with his manager before leaving the message. I was also shocked when their directions for taking our leave of the place included vacuuming and cleaning to leave the place as we found it, this despite the fact that we paid for a cleaning service via our VRBO reservation. I won't be returning to this location.

Location perfect/owner not so much

We lived our time in Depoe Bay! This was very close to ocean beautiful view. I however booked this 2/3 months in advance for an extended stay with my husband as this was our vacation. So property owners were aware of the length of stay ( 9 days) when arrived everything looked good.. upon further inspection we noticed that there was no broom ( and when asked caretaker for one he simply said we have the bottoms but no handles). Part of the toaster didn’t work, no proper utensils, only 1 big pot to cook in, 1 coffee filter, no extra paper towels etc, we’ve been to enough vrbos to know that yes sometimes they are short on somethings, but not like this, so we had to buy quite a bit to just fuction for 9 days. The fridge was dirty, the house its self was dirty ( cobwebs every where you turned). Ants were a problem from the beginning but chalked it off due to being so close to the ocean etc… but then they were crawling on myself and husband on the couch etc.. we ended up leaving 2 days early ( lost over 300.00 because of that) when messaged the owner told him why we left, he said we should have told caretaker… we did.. I offered some advice for the next couple who stays there and what should be there, I didn’t expect anything back ( meaning money etc..) what I got back was you used cologne and now I don’t know how to get it out? We didn’t use anything except what was provided for cleaning and using spray in the restroom. He has continued to harass me about this. Do not recommend

It smelled like someone smokes week in the neighborhood!!! Great location easy walk to town and restaurants!! I was surprised how quiet it was being so close to Hwy 101!! The covered outdoor was cute but too many cobwebs for me to sit out there.

The property was fairly easy to find, passed it the first drive by because the buildings are all so close to each other. There were a lot of homey things to choose from while relaxing after a long day of sight seeing; books, music, tv with DVD's. The couch though was VERY uncomfortable, after an hour or so my butt hurt like crazy. The bed was amazingly comfortable tho. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked and expected and then they expected you to do the end of stay housekeeping; sweeping, mopping, cleaning shower, bathroom, stripping the beds, etc. I paid for a host fee and a nightly fee to stay there, I don't expect to have to clean the house, they should have someone to do this. Overall, we had a great time seeing the ocean for the first time. Thank you.

We won’t be coming back

I’ll start by saying this is my husband and mine’s second time staying here but first time in the lower unit. A few years back, we stayed in the larger upper unit and really enjoyed our stay. It’s an older place but everything was clean and well-maintained. I wish I could say the same for our visit this time in the downstairs unit. I’ll just go with pros and cons and let you make your own decisions. Pros: 1. The property is in a great location and is walkable. 2. The price is very affordable. (Book somewhere else in advance and it’ll be nicer.) 3. It has everything you need but nothing more. 4. Shower head is tall and has good pressure. 5. Quiet. Most of the area is though. 6. Windows in the bedroom open to keep it cool for sleeping. Cons: We didn’t reach out to the host for any issues. There were several and we just decided to not spend our vacation time contacting the host with multiple issues. 1. The main living space has a great view but gets very warm. (Stayed in August) There are many windows but nothing opens! 2. Killed multiple spiders and there were ants all over. 3. The outdoor patio is adorable but is covered in webs and the spiders to go with them. 4. The house wasn’t clean. I’m the clean freak and my husband said something first. I had to wipe down the bathroom before we could use it. We wore socks always as things stuck to our feet otherwise. This was definitely the worst part. Cleanliness would go a long ways everywhere here and eliminate the pests.

Another nice stay

We've stayed at this property and the 3 br unit on the upper floor several times before, and, as usual, the unit was clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. If we needed anything all we had to do is let Walt know and he would take care if it quickly. Great view of the bay and the best restaurant for miles is directly across the street. recommend this and the upper unit to anyone.

Fantastic cozy place with a great view

This place is super cute, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, there is a washer and dryer and is comfortably furnished. The view of the beach is an added perk, it’s great couples getaway, it’s quiet and easy to get to.

Across the street from the bay

We enjoyed our stay even though we had doubts about the apartment being next to Highway 101. Thankfully, because of the double pane windows, traffic sounds were kept to a minimum. The bedroom is at the back of the home with a comfortable bed. There is a nice kitchen with most everything you need for cooking and a gas barbecue set up outside. We especially liked the location and being able to watch grey whales in Depoe Bay. Recommended!

Clean Convenient Great View!
