Lake Front House op prive-meer

NEEM NOTA, 24e jaarlijkse oktoberfeest, zondag 13 oktober bij storting "On The Delaware"! Piek herfstbladeren dat weekend! Ok, blijf lezen voor een ander weekend :)

4 slaapkamers (Queen bedden) huis aan het meer, 1 en een half bad kamers met alle voorzieningen die nodig zijn voor een comfortabele vakantie. Ook koningin futon. Zal slapen 8-10 mensen

Tweepers. Kajak, waterfiets, roeiboot, dok, twee stenen open haarden, grill, internet, Roku, flatscreen, volledige keuken, wasmachine, droger, hangmat, Gazebo. Water komt ook goed en is uitstekend om te drinken.

Vreedzaam, mooi gebladerte van half september tot eind oktober. Geweldig om te zwemmen, water is warmer dan veel lagere meren, omdat het dicht bij de top van de berg ligt (ongeveer 2000 voet). Motorboten zijn niet toegestaan.

In de buurt: wandelen, golfen bij Oquaga Lake en zijn vele voorzieningen, appels en wilde bosbessen in overvloed, paardrijden, varen, elanden en Griekse Peek Mountains, kajakken, kanoën, grind en racefietsen, antiekwinkels, bioscopen, musea, dagtochten naar Binghamton , Finger Lakes en Cooperstown.

Vissen op regenboog en bruine forel van wereldklasse op de West Branch van de rivier de Delaware en Oquaga Creek ligt op slechts 5 minuten afstand. Cannonsville Reservoir ligt op 8 km van het huis en biedt een aantal van de meest spectaculaire Smallmouth Bass, regenboog / bruine forel vissen in de staat New York (speciale vergunning vereist). Jagen op whitetail en verschillende kleine spellen is beschikbaar, want we zijn binnen enkele minuten van NY en PA State Lands.

Johnny was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make our experience welcoming. As soon as we arrived, he took the time to personally greet us and explain everything about the property in detail. His warm and open demeanor instantly put us at ease. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, ensuring that we felt comfortable and fully informed. Johnny’s hospitality truly made a difference, and his attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. We spent a week here with three adults and four teens. The property is as described, and the pictures are accurate. The picturesque lake was peaceful and relaxing, with great fishing (our group caught a total of 52), despite a lot of rainy weather. There was plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out although everyone tended to gather in the downstairs living area with the sliders to the lake. Johnny was very friendly, checking in to see if we needed anything but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed our time and would stay again!

My group had an incredibly relaxing and fun time at this beautiful private lake house. There were many bedrooms, kitchen supplies, board games, and fun gathering areas. We especially enjoyed taking the boat out on the quiet and serene lake. At night we sat around the large waterside firepit and stargazed - we even saw a few shooting stars! Johnny, the caretaker, was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful. We hope to return soon!

This is a beautiful and spacious cottage. Beautifully private setting on the lake. We took our 3 grandchildren, ages 4-9. They loved it. Johnny the property caretaker, is very personable and was very helpful, told us about all the nearby things to do, or where to get anything we forgot. He gave us his cell number in case we needed anything. I highly recommend this property!!!!!

The property was very nice had everything you would need in the house Very eclectic feel for the interior furnishings makes you feel like what it is, a family camp in the mountains that the family has collected all of the handed down furnishings to make it have everything you need to enjoy the mountain summers. The care taker Johnny was very nice a knowledgeable about the area and was available by phone whenever we called. Overall the house and property are cozy and the location on the lake is beautiful. Would definitely stay again

Me and my family stayed there with a 6 month old it was very spacious place even when you look form outside you cant tell. I don't think it will be safe for a crawling kid without constant supervision. Especially the stairs. The nature and outside was beautiful everyone loved the foliage and we got to take very good pictures during this time. There was no fish this time at all last time we stayed in late September there was plenty fish jumping the the lake and you can see and catch. This time nothing at all. But the house is good and the boats are there the camp fire pit right on the lake. Almost, everything you need on the property.

There is a lot to like about this property. The lake is beautiful, and as promised, mostly very quiet. We loved that the huge firepit was down by the water, so we spent almost the entire day by the water's edge, from start to finish. Another plus was the gazebo, where the BBQ grill was under cover, so we could still use it on the one day it rained. And having both a gas and a charcoal grill was terrific. The house itself was spacious, although the small bedroom was really small. We spent most of our time downstairs, where the kitchen and the doorway to the lake are. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. There is air conditioning upstairs, but the downstairs stayed fairly cool even on hot days. You have to empty the dehumidifier a couple times a day, but that's no big deal. Having two bathrooms was wonderful, since we had eight people for most of our stay. In general, I'd say the house is good value for the money. There were a few downsides. Johnny the caretaker and owner Mihael responded very quickly to messages, but the couple of issues we had didn't get fixed. (The lights over the slightly scary spiral staircase were out, and I pointed this out to Johnny when he was showing us around, but apparently special bulbs needed to be ordered. The mattress on the smallest bed was terrible, with huge lumps and grooves, and I was told that a new one had been on order for a month and a half, which I believe, because of the supply chain issues, but it was still pretty uncomfortable to sleep on.) There were two benches outside that were broken and should have been removed (one was literally held up by a log and a brick, and the other had huge missing wooden slates). You could just not sit on them, of course, but they made the place feel uncared for, which otherwise wasn't the impression you got. Our biggest disappointment was that the pedalboat, which was listed on the website, was damaged and couldn't be used. Not a big deal in the whole scheme of things, but we'd really been looking forward to it, and when we took it out and it almost sank, that wasn't great. Overall, I'd say this was a great house. Just be aware that between the spiral staircase and the steep and irregularly spaced stone stairs on the outside of the house, this place is definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are also a lot of tripping hazards inside (raised stone sections in multiple places downstairs) that might be tricky with kids. Otherwise, it was lovely.

Excellent! If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature filled experience, this is the place! Great communication with the owner. The house is spacious and well laid out. Lots of outdoor space for visiting. So peaceful! Johnny will greet you with his cheerful personality, give the tour and ensure you’re ready to enjoy your stay. This is a gem and I would highly recommend this property.

We had a great family trip. Theres a great farm nearby (JADA Hill), and some good food 10mins away. The views of the lake are great. Thanks to John for making the checkin seamless. Overall, definitely recommend.

I can't say enough good things about the location. It was completely quiet, near a lot of great hiking locations, and the view was beautiful. It seemed like the fall colors were better every day. As for the actual house, it was OK. There wasn't any comfortable place to sit downstairs (where the kitchen is) and, for me, no easy way to get between the upstairs and downstairs. I wish that the description had mentioned the stairs situation - inside the house is a small metal spiral staircase. I am not a small person and didn't feel at all safe on those stairs. Outside of the house are slate steps which are completely uneven (different heights and different depths) with no railing. I didn't feel safe on those, either. The kitchen had everything needed, the beds were comfortable, the USB ports next to the beds were a nice touch. And there were more games than you could play in a month! But if you have any sort of stairs/mobility issues, this isn't the place for you.
