We loved our stay! Excellent location. Very clean. I only wish the cleaners would have washed the floors. Walking around barefoot left my feet dirty everyday. That would be my only suggestion.

Great view and really quite/nice place

Everything about the property was great only issue being we showed up at 7pm on Sunday and realized we had no parking passes and the lot said they would tow without it so worried our car would get towed we called the Vacasa number asap they said they would get on it to get them to us, 2 days later someone finally showed up at our door knocked and left them under the corner of the welcome mat and ran away so wasn’t very pleased with that

I wish I could give you more than 5 stars for location

This is the third time we have stayed in Destiny Villa condos and 6a has been the best. If there was one thing I would change it would be that the chairs on the balcony were a taller chair. We liked sitting out front and we were eye level to the railing.

Property has some maintenance issues. Also refrigerator was rusted and the sheets need to be replaced. Overall, it was a nice stay and the location is perfect.

Location was great but unit needs updating

We enjoyed the unit however we found that the sofa sleeper is close to inoperable and difficult to use. There were no bed linens for the sofa sleeper so we had to purchase a set. We also had an issue with the thermostat on the A/C. It is pre-programmed to default at certain times throughout the day to 74 degrees however this occurred several times throughout the night and made for warm nights. I overrode the ac function but I'm not sure why it did this several times. I think for me was the missing remote in the bedroom. I had sent an email and hadn't heard back until the next day but no response as to how we could use the TV. The issue wasn't so much not having a remote but rather on the last day while we were out, someone entered the unit and left a remote under the TV shelf. We were not notified of anyone dropping anything off and were uneasy the rest of the night. Overall, the unit is close to the beach. The pool was also a delight to use. The kitchen cookware does need to be updated as we were unable to cook a good meal without having food stick.

Tried to enjoy our Honeymoon

Nice Condo, excellent views. But couldn't enjoy our stay. We left day early because of many reasons. Advertise professional cleaning. That's not the case at this Condo at all. Air conditioner vent was filthy, Top of microwave filthy along the inside of it. The bed has cubby holes underneath it and each cubby was nasty. Shower curtain in spare bathroom needs replaced and the condo had roaches. None of this is the owners fault. They pay to have Condo cleaned. They need to fire them. We requested our night we didn't stay refunded along with the cleaning fee we had to pay. We shall see. Outside of the condo enjoyed every min.

Review

Our stay was okay. The location to the beach was great. The only complaint we have is that it could have been a little cleaner and the thermostat had a setting that would make the condo go all the way to 77 degrees and it was on a timer before it would cool down. We also were not able to use the tv in the living room due to the previous people logging out of the account. We called and asked for this to be fixed and were told that there was no access to the email to be able to fix it. There was no way to contact the owner for this to be resolved.

Great location, poor amenities

Unfortunately most of the previous visitors left their disappointing reviews in the Guest book and not online. Here's what you need to know. GREAT LOCATION but not a typical VRBO property. No welcome package, no amenities like coffee, coffee filters, water bottles, salt and pepper, etc. Not a drop of food in the house. No welcome package, nada. If you get there late at night, you are out of luck. Also, we needed the heat to be on, and it was on a timer repeatedly throughout the day and night that changed it to 65 degrees. We called the property company and they sent a "property manager" who did not know how to fix it. We also needed more blankets and the property manager brought one flimsy blanket. There were no blankets provided for the other beds, which fortunately we did not need but would have been a problem if we did. Also, all the instructions in the property were generic and not at all helpful for the specific unit. Several reviews in the guest book included people saying that they left additional kitchen tools as the equipment provided was minimal. The great location made it worthwhile, but the property management team needs to be provide more support and amenities.

Short overnight stay

We stayed one night so we could be near the airport for a early flight. It was just what we needed. We had been staying in seaside and watercolor the week and 1/2 before. The unit was very clean and very quite. We had just the right amount of space. Very quiet at night!

Great Location

The location of the property was great. Due to COVID 19 the actual property was key on this trip. Having the two balconies was very nice. However I will say that some new furniture for the outside is highly needed.(Broken bench/missing cushion). The condo was comfortable and it had everything we needed. You do need to know the cable is all streaming. The only live tv you will get is if you have a Hulu account. Being across the street from the beach was great! For those of you primarily doing take out due to the virus, across the street there are pavilions where we ate most of the time near the beach. Make sure you ask the restaurants if they do take out up front. Believe it or not several places only do dine -in. By the way next to no one on the street are wearing masks!

A Honeymoon Better Than We Could Have Imagined

My wife and I rented Destiny Beach Villa #6A for our honeymoon. It was everything we could have imagined, definitely even better. The villa was very spacious for the two of us. We had excellent views of the ocean and the freshwater pond behind us. We also had close access to the beach, local restaurants, and all of the shopping places in the area. We are looking forward to our next trip to Destin soon!

Huge disappointment!

We stayed at the Destiny Beach Villa 6a in Destin, Florida. The condition of the villa It was not clean. We noticed a stain on the bed sheets and the pillows smelled. We spent an hour and a half at the laundromat and another $20 cleaning. Other issues included: • When we arrived, there were still dishes in the dishwasher. • The outlet in the master bath did not work. • The blinds in the living room fell down when trying to open the blinds using the blind cords. • There were holes in the screens letting in bugs which we had to patch with tape. • The entrance stunk. We tried everything to get rid of the horrible smell but to no avail it stunk the whole time we stayed there. • The dryer filter bin was filled with sand and lint causing the dryer to take forever to dry clothes, and making full insertion of the filter difficult. We emptied the bin which was filled with 2 in. of sand and lint and spend an hour removing all the debris. • The floor in the living area looked and felt like it was never mopped but only vacuumed. • There were some indications of mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers. • The free YouTube Live channel did not work because the previous tenant logged out, which they were not supposed to. We were later given the login info but after a couple of weeks the channel and Roku again needed a login and password to view any channels. We only had the free TV stations to watch which was not much. • The TV remote did not work, even though fresh batteries were installed. We contacted the operations manager a second time but he never responded. We called the operations manager. He fixed the blinds that had fallen with a temporary fix. We still had to open and close each blade manually. He never came back to attach a rod in order to easily open and close the blinds. He did fix the outlet in the master bedroom. We tried to get a hold of Vacassa (the property management firm) but Vacassa had a recording saying the number was temporarily suspended. We tried contacting the operations manager to resolve these issues but he did not respond. It is our understanding, via an email issued by VRBO, that VRBO has granted a full refund for those who had to cancel their vacation plans. As a result, because of these unresolved issues and the coronavirus scare making our stay unpleasant, it was necessary to leave a week early. We expect, due to these circumstances and the condition of the villa, that we are entitled to a partial refund.

Very nice stay

We loved the location of our unit. The location was great being near the public beach and overlooking the lake on the backside. The decor of the unit was delightful. The 3 star was due to the management company. We called the managing company to report that one of the TVs was not working properly. The representative said that we did not call the correct vrbo location and she couldn't help us. We didn't have another number. We also wanted to let them know that the toaster wasn't working and the lights at the toe kick went out to be helpful to the next renters.
