  • Verbeterde 17e verdieping appartement - strand voorkant! Prachtig volledig zicht op de golf! Opgewaardeerd in de herfst van 2018 ... Alle nieuwe vloeren, nieuwe bank, salontafel, bijzettafels, eettafel en stoelen, nieuwe slaapkamer set en alle nieuwe bedden!

    OPMERKING: Ik bezit ook een unit bij Surfside Resort unit 409 property ID: 17922, Crystal Sands unit property ID: 26158 en Emerald Towers unit 1004 property ID: 85592 op www. vrbo. com. Als dit appartement is geboekt of u reist met andere gasten en heeft u andere eenheden nodig.

    Pelican Beach Resort is een van de populairste resorts om te verblijven in Destin ~ de perfecte familiebestemming.

    Gunstig gelegen nabij alle activiteiten zoals: Big Kahuna Water Park (aan de overkant van de straat) gelegen nabij vele gezinsvriendelijke restaurants: Bubba Gump Shrimp, Hard Rock Cafe, Johnny Rockets, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, en nog veel meer! Detailhandel, winkelcentrum Silver Sands, en bioscopen.

    Een slaapkamer / twee badkamers golf voorkant woongedeelte 873 sq. Ft. gloednieuwe koningin slaapbank in de woonkamer. Nadat je je in de eenheid hebt begeven, zul je het smaragdgroene water van de Golf van Mexico opmerken vanaf je eigen balkon met uitzicht op het zuiden.

    Slaapkamer heeft een kingsize bed, met eigen badkamer. Verzonken stapelbedden in de hal maken slapen mogelijk voor het jongere publiek en een koningin slaper in de woonkamer.

    Volledig functionele keuken, met groot bereik, koelkast, vaatwasser, magnetron, koffiezetapparaat en blender. Draadloos internet, televisie met dvd. Volledig gevuld met beddengoed en handdoeken.

    Pelican Beach Resort heeft 2 verwarmde zwembaden. Buiten en binnen samen met een kinderbad en buiten bubbelbad.

1st time VRBO it was learning experience the room was nice the microwave handle was broken, would have been nice to know that we needed to bring our own coffee . But we enjoyed the place easy access and beautiful view and we saw dolphins from our balcony.

The place is really nice and the Private beach area is beautiful. The only thing is being charged for cleaning and finding dirty dishes in the cabinets and mold on the shower curtain.

The view in this condo is fantastic! The beach is absolutely beautiful! Overall we would stay here again. I would pack extra towels and shampoo next time, we had to make a quick run for things like that. Reminder that it's not the resort but someone's rental property. Great living room area and kitchen! Three pools on property and the beach so plenty of outdoor time here.

We booked this place strictly for the view and the view was fantastic! Yes the place could use a little updating but it was clean and comfortable. I contacted the owner about the microwave door handle being broken again when I got there and he had a technician come replace the entire door. 2 things to know: it costs 2.00 to wash clothes and 2.00 to dry them. The laundry room is across from the room. If you want an umbrella and chairs that costs extra also: 45 per day I believe. However there is an umbrella in the closet. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for a better week.

I have really no complaints about the property. Everything was as advertised. View was gorgeous, building amenities were nice, communication with host was timely and helpful. My only gripe was the living room furniture was not the most comfortable and the apartment lacked some color. But again, it was clean, cozy and as advertised .

The beach service was an unexpected cost but seems to be the norm for this area. We couldn’t rent a golf cart for fun commuting since there were no accessible roads to drive from this resort. The view from our balcony was worth it!

This was our second time at this property. The locstion to the ocean is, as always, perfect. The only downside, was the coffee maker was not functioning. So , we bought a new one that was also bigger.

This is our second stay at the Pelican. Our first stay the room was clean and well maintained. This most recent stay the room smelled like mildew, not as clean as our first stay and the appearance was banged up. Huge repair patches in the bathroom and nail pops in the hallway. This unit was advertised as recently remodeled. The grounds was well kept and both pools and hot tubs very clean.

My Review

The unit has a serious mold problem in the closet and one of the bathrooms. It looked like one one cleaned under the bed in years. On the plus side, the view of the beach from the balcony was outstanding.

Fantastic View & Beach Location

Was an amazing place to stay! I gave the check-in process 4 stars only because of 4 elevators, only 2 were working on the day of check-in, which made it a mad-house on the ground floor (not super impactful but it was a bit of a challenge). Also, I gave the location of the condo 4 stars only because there was no traffic control so exiting the resort was a nightmare when traffic was heavy (which was about 9am to 6pm ish). Other than that, the location and condo were fantastic!! The beach location was amazing and the condo itself was very comfortable and fit the 5 of us just perfect! We were glad to have a full-size refrigerator and full kitchen! The beds were comfortable though making room for our luggage was a bit of a Tetris game, mostly because we had our own portable crib to contend with! We would definitely stay here again.

Okay but a little disappointed

For the price we paid we were disappointed. This is our 3rd year at the resort but the condo was just ok. It smelled terrible of mildew and mold. We even noticed mold all over the inside hall closet door. Not great when your kids have asthma and are sleeping right next to that. We tried to keep the patio door closed but it was hard to breathe. We had no extras at all. Ran out of tp, paper towels..only 2 trash bags for the week. We’ve stayed at others where they help accommodate with a few extras. We love the resort, but wished the condo was clean and in better condition.

No Air Conditioning

This property needs to be updated. At these prices I expected granite countertops, or something other than plastic and the air conditioner was broken and was not cooling for the first three days of our stay. I understand May 9th was Mothers day but we had to wait 2 more days for someone to come and service the air. It need a coil and freon. Those issues were not new. I feel that I should be refunded for at least 3 days. I will never stay with this owner again.

Nice, but could be better

Overall this is a good condo, but not great. We were disappointed that the space smells extremely musty, especially the utility closet where extra pillows and bed linens are stored. Even our clothes smelled musty when we left the space. You can also tell that the property is well worn; scuffs on the walls, dirty drapes, worn furniture and carpet. The decor and furniture are a bit outdated. The space had no hangers, laundry basket, only one extra garbage bag and no other amenities like beach chairs, an umbrella, or sand toys for kids. The hallway bunks beds were very musty and had no mattress pads. Also, there is no Keurig.

Almost PERFECT

The Pelican resort was a family favorite 20 years ago. I was dissapointed due to the beach rules/rental chair for the property. I never remember there being rows and rows of beach chair rentals. I do understand the need for non-rentals to place their chairs behind the rentals, but this was excessive. The chair rentals took up most of the beach space and they were not even half used. I dont understand why tents were not permitted. We have never had this issue on any other properties. They also wouldnt allow you to sit in water with your chair. I felt like I was mislead about the washer and dryer. We are very sure to always have a room with this luxury. It stated very clearly on our listing that there was a washer and dryer. It never said shared or access to. The other issue was a little mishap with the iron. The iron was very old and ruined my shorts. I do understand that I should have been more careful, but it was frustrating. We were also told that we could check in early by calling number provided. We got there at 7am and tried to call several times and no answer. We honestly never complain and I do not want this to be a complaint. It is more of a friendly note of the things that we wished were different. It absolutely did not ruin our stay. We had a great time. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your condo. I hope my comment Is helpful and not considered negative. I still gave a 5 because we had an excellent time!!!

Disgusted!!

I called the host a few days ahead and had to leave message . I did not get a call back but only received a text as I arrived in Destin. Giving me the door code and advising me that early entry before 4pm or late departure after 10am will incur a $111.00 charge . Upon entering the condo I was hit with a nasty musty smell. Upon further investigation I noticed what a sad state of affairs that this condo was in . 1. The microwave oven handle was broken and it was not cleaned inside or outside even the broken handle was sticky. 2. The coffee pot was filthy, the pot inside and out was badly stained . The filter housing was thick with old coffee stains . 3.The counter had food droppings over it. 4. The sink was thick with dirt and grease where the faucet connects to the sink. 5. The coffee table was loose and wobbly and poses a danger. 6. The couch was spattered with stains and we could not get ourselves to sit directly on it . We cover it with towels . 7. The curtains were badly stained . 8. When I walked barefoot I realized That I was walking on sand ! 9 . Omg 😱 the sheets were dirty and I noticed that there was another set in the closet , so I removed the sheet and to my dismay and disgust I found the mattress cover, full of what looked like urine stains. Then to had insult to injury the clean sheets from the closet were not for a king bed instead for a full or queen bed. 10.the counter top was damaged and splitting in various spots. 11. The second bathroom was disgusting

Loved Pelican Beach but owner was not knowledgeable

First I will say that Pelican Beach was a wonderful place to stay and I will stay there again but this new owner was not up on what was included in the stay. I had many things told to me that were not included with the reservation that he had no answer for. I even had to contact him the night before on how to get in the unit and what I needed to do. I was getting a bit nervous with that. The refrigerator was froze up when I got there and I reported it right away but was still without a fridge for 10 of the 30 days (throwing away all my food) his answer was "Sorry". I found out by the repair man, he offered to repair it on Saturday but the owner told him to wait till Monday because he didn't want to pay the higher charge. So I was made to wait longer to not inconvenience him. I lost about 30.00 in food. My insurance didn't cover it. I was told that laundry was complimentary to guests and when I took my laundry items down in my wheelchair to get new towels and sheets- I was told Sorry it is not included with my unit. Again I was told Sorry from the owner. So bring quarters if you want to use laundry. There is a closet with beach items that is so musty and moldy my friend who came to visit had a reaction. That needs to be address and aired out. Checking out the last day I was even locked out at 9:30 (check out is 10) so before I could get back in for my last sweep through and get my purse and last items I had to get the help of the front desk who went out of their way to help get ahold of the owner to get me a new number. The place itself was wonderful and I enjoyed the room- I use a wheelchair as I am a amputee and the rooms all worked well for me to get around in. I will be back to Pelican Beach but will rent my month another way, like straight through Pelican Beach Resorts.
