  • Islander Condo # 316 is een West View, Gold-eenheid voor maximaal 6 personen. Vermijd de liften met gemakkelijke toegang tot de begane grond en parkeerplaats via de trap in de buurt van de flat. Stap in ons tropische paradijs, handig gelegen voor een snelle en gemakkelijke toegang tot het strand of naar keuze uit twee zwembaden.

    De open keuken is onlangs gerenoveerd met nieuwe kasten, granieten aanrecht en roestvrijstalen apparatuur en is volledig uitgerust met alle gereedschappen om aan uw kookbehoeften te voldoen. Verzamel rond de eettafel met plaats voor 6 personen of ontspan in de woonkamer op bijgewerkte meubels om de 42-inch tv met een Blue Ray-speler en digitale kabeltelevisie te bekijken. Er is een tweepersoons slaapbank beschikbaar voor de gasten.

    De grote slaapkamer beschikt over een kingsize bed en een 32-inch tv en dvd-speler. De badkamer is bijgewerkt ijdelheid met granieten aanrecht en een dubbele ijdelheid en een bad / douche combo. De logeerkamer een tweepersoonsbed en een set van twee stapelbedden, evenals een 32 "tv. De gast badkamer heeft een bijgewerkte ijdelheid met granieten aanrecht en een bad / douche combo.

    Ga naar het privébalkon en bekijk de boten die de haven binnenkomen en verlaten via de oostpas of een van de adembenemende zonsondergangen die een avond kan bieden.

The unit was very clean and just as described. The kitchen is nicely stocked with pots, pans, silverware. The view off of the balcony is lovely and we loved hearing the night sounds of the frogs from the wetland area sitting out there in the evening after sunset.

Pros and Cons

PROS: The unit looked just like it is presented in the pictures. Location and distance to the beach was very good. Kitchen had necessities. Beds were comfortable. CONS: Immediately upon entering the unit, there was a strong odor of cigarette smoke. My daughter is allergic and immediately began to feel nauseous and got a bad headache. I made several attempts to contact the host to see if by chance another unit was available. Never got a response! After driving to Walmart and purchasing fragrance plugins, fabric deodorizer and medication for my daughter, the unit was bearable. I never received a response back from the host. Not good hosting skills at all, so this feedback will probably never make it to the VRBO website.

The location and views were fantastic. Condo was clean but could use some updating. Couch and carpet need to be replaced. Had all the amenities we needed. Pool was clean and beach access was easy to get to. All in all we had an amazing time.

Great spot

Located in a primarily residential area so it was much more peaceful than the “tourist areas”. Beach was awesome, beach service was a huge plus. Guest services was very helpful. Best part was sitting on the patio with a view of the pool and bay.

Nice views

The unit was fairly clean, but had very little in the way of necessities. There was no dish soap, coffee filters, only one extra roll of toilet paper, no extras at all. It was a great location to the pool and short walk to the beach. We loved having our own chairs by the beach, definitely a perk. The resort area was beautiful, nice sizes pools, games out side for the kids to play. Overall it was a good start to our vacation.

September Islander stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The staff at the Islander are always terrific, thank you. The reservation process is a breeze! I've been coming to the Islander for over 20 years now and love the location and experience. This year, I was a little dissapointed at some of the cleanliness issues. The elevators were having issues and some of the areas around the grounds were not as clean and organized as they have historically been. I was especially dissapointed at all the smoking in and around the facility since it is a non-smoking facility. The condo, hallways, elevators, and even beach had smokers and smoke everywhere. It would be nice if we could truly have a non-smoking section of chairs at the beach that was upwind from the smokers that way the smoke didn't waft towards those of us that prefer no smoke. I'll be back, but hope that the cleanliness and smoke issues are worked on for the future.

The Islander 316 Destin, FL

I thought the property was ok. Positives were that it was a great location and the beach was quiet. Unit included beach service that was very easy to get each morning. Pools had tons of umbrellas and chairs. Negatives, master had no comforter, just a sheet and a very thin blanket and only 2 pillows. NO washer/dryer in unit. Understand that up front, I missed it when I booked. They claimed there was an easy laundromat on the second floor, which there is. Problem is there are only 6 washers and dryers for the complex. Wasted several trips down with washers full already. With family of 5, I definitely would not stay here again because of the laundry issue. They advertise a towel exchange but that’s the least of my worries with clothes, swimsuits, and beach towels. Also, it’s about a 6 min walk to the beach. Another negative is room keys, you need them to get to the beach and in the room. Needs to be a code, it’s a pain.

Goo stay

We got there early and was able to play in the pool/ go to the beach. The room was perfect for our family of 6! Just wish there was more room to put our food in the kitchen.
