Tap dining staff are incredible, as are front desk. Everyone friendly and accommodating. My only disappointment was not syncing up with housekeeping to refresh our room.

Our last night was terrible, our neighbor was very loud, yelling and partying late. Then they started fighting and screaming until 2:00 in the morning. We called the front desk five times and the occupants of the room next to ours had to be removed from the building by the Detroit Police Dept. MGM offered a full refund for our last night.

We stayed at MGM for its free parking and walkability to Comerica Park for baseball games. It was great for that, and we were pleased with the hotel itself, especially all of the staff that was so courteous and helpful. Our stay was restful and relaxing, and we will definitely stay here again.

Having the free parking was great. The rooms were decent. Coffee maker broke so we couldn’t enjoy coffee in room. Lighted mirror in the bathroom didn’t work. Air quality wasn’t the best in the rooms and room service didn’t change the sheets, only made the bed. Carpets could use a good cleaning. Staff was very friendly. Its convenient if you want to walk downtown Detroit or to a sporting event as it’s close to everything yet not right in the middle of the noise.

I ordered food for in room service and it was a disaster. It was delivered and hour late, we didn't get everything we ordered or any condiments like syrup, butter for pancakes, cream sugar for coffee. And the staff were so rude about it

Great stay! Parking for hotel guests could be a little clearer as it is a pretty long walk all the way through the casino from the self parking with luggage. Room was amazing, view was great. This is now our go-to hotel when visiting Detroit!

If you don’t want to valet park, you can do self parking and walk through the casino to get to the hotel without walking outside. Just make sure to have ID ready because they will ask, and no outside drinks. The rooms are not as cleanly as I would have expected. The cleaning staff also came in when we did not put our sign up to have them come in and clean and were advised they won’t just come in until day 3, so that was a bit odd. The doorman was absolutely amazing and very kind. Be very careful not to even slightly touch any of the bar fridge items as you will be charged. If this happens just go down to the front desk, they were very helpful and kind even though they probably get this issue constantly. Overall I’m not sure if I would stay here again, but also I wouldn’t avoid staying here

Nobody explained anything during check in. I was literally handed the keys & essentially told to go about my day. Waited on valet for several hours. There was a fight that broke out at the casino and I did not feel safe. Lights were broken in the hotel room. They did not allow late checkout and did not give me any notification saying that there was no late check out. A lot of the staff rude and lack communication between one another. Will be communicating with corporate as i have never been this disappointed spending this much money on a hotel for every single thing to go wrong.

Stayed here for 2 nights while passing through Detroit. The only negative I think was that when I booked the rooms it did not tell us that children under 14 were not allowed in the pools. That was a huge negative for our stay. The kids were very disappointed, we thought this would be a fun spot for the whole family at least they could swim and have fun too but it’s not kid friendly really. It’s a casino so it’s geared towards adults obviously but we’ve never been to one that didn’t allow kids in the pool. Aside from that the food was great and the entire place was beautiful and well maintained. The beds could have been softer they were firmer than I expected.

Hotel is beautiful, but strange rules/practices. The pool is only open until nine, but you have to be in it by six because the elevator shuts the floor off at six. Silliest thing I have ever heard. There are hot tubs as well - one for women in the womens locker room, and one for men in theirs.....so don't plan for a relaxing soak with your opp sex spouse. There is not a fridge in your room (except the mini bar fridge, which charges you to remove any of the weight-sensored items) - I understand that it is to force you to use their many restaurants and room service, but hope you don't have medication you need chilled, or want a cold bottle of water in the middle of the night. It is a nice place, and our view was amazing, but I probably will not return.
