Not Good.
The toilet was broken the whole weekend. The woman who fixed it for us was very kind and did her best but I don't beleive she was a plumber. When I asked about receiving a discount for the inconveinance, the office told me because of the low price I got from Hotels.com, they were very hesitant to do it & they blamed it also on being understaffed. Which is no fault of mine. In the end, I received a credit for $22.10.

Hotel is badly in need of updates. Bathroom fixtures were barely holding on. Floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in years. Big gaps between the air conditioner and the area of the wall it sat in, so traffic noise was louder than expected. On a good note, beds were pretty comfy.

Let’s go with no
If you’re looking for the “old school” Motel vibe, this would be it. Loud noises from outside, around, and even inside the rooms. The blinds were missing pieces, so anyone could look inside the room. Plus, the mattress were dirty/stained. Allergies galore if you’re sensitive. We were looking for budget friendly, but for what we paid you’re getting 1 star quality.

The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and had black mold behind it. It was very rustic but close to the beach.

Yes: 3 min walking distance to Dewey Beach, which is perfect! Friendly and flexible staff! Room clean, well equipped and space enough! No: Room strongly smelled like pets or humidity (pet friendly place), when I say strong I mean it! Walking distance to Rebohoth stores 30 min ish.

The hotel rooms haven’t been updated since the early 80s. The rooms are dingy and feel pretty grimy. With that being said, if you’re just looking for a place to crash that’s stumbling distance to all the Dewey bars (and want the least expensive place on the strip), then this is your place. If you don’t expect a lot, you won’t be disappointed. If you have a decent job and can pay a little more per night, stay anywhere else.

Our stay was quite awful. I will never stay there again. We ended up cutting our trip short and leaving on Saturday because we did not want to stay there another night. We stayed in Room 14. Upon walking in the room the smell was overwhelming musty/moldy. I turned the wall air conditioner onto “dry” and this did not help. The bathroom sink was covered in hair and dust, as well as the bathtub that was in such poor shape I definitely did not use it. A communal campground bathroom is in far better shape. Upon pulling down the sheets to get into bed, we found more of some else’s hair, in both beds. It looks like whoever “cleaned” the room just pulled the quilt up and made the bed without changing the sheets. Upon further inspection, the bed closest to the bathroom has dried vomit on the box spring on the side closest to the wall. I requested new sheets, and the “clean” sheets I was brought (to make the bed myself, I might add) also had hair in the pillow cases. We ended up putting our beach towels on top of the beds and sleeping on those. This hotel is also dog friendly- but the entire property is covered in rocks. There is no place to walk your dog to relieve themselves. I paid $200 per night off season at the end of September. I have paid less for a 4 star hotel in Sydney Australia with a room overlooking the Sydney Opera House. This hotel is a rip off you should stay far away from.

I'll start by saying I am not a picky person by any means, so this hotel was absolutely fine by my standards. I would feel bad if I didn't mention the 3 year expired shampoo samples and the toilet so close to the tub/wall, I had to sit on it sideways. Haha but no bugs, ac worked fine and besides the blind being broken so you could see in the room, it was as good of a room as any! Worth it to be near the ocean. Oh, also, the parking lot is all rocks and there is no elevator, so it is not handicap accessible.

Very good for a family and almost on the beach
The reception lady was fine and the night shift gentleman was fine. The hotel needs a facelift (it is outdated). It is a minute walking from the beach. Nice area and family friendly. There is an ice machine near the front desk.

The bathroom was dirty. The microwave had dried on food in it. I booked for 4 people but we only had 2 towels. We had to take our own trash out. Topping it all off there were less than a half dozen people there and they put us on the 3rd floor. We were very unhappy.

Overall this hotel has a good location, just a block away from the beach and within walking distance of bars and food. The AC unit is good and able to keep the room at 62F if that's your thing. The condition of the room is questionable! Whoever did the caulk job in the bathroom should look at another career - sorry. The outside needs some touch-up, and the inside needs some touch up too as there are cracks in the ceiling. The amount I paid for the weekend, I would manage they would do a better job on upkeep instead of pocketing it. Also, do some upgrades to the place. Let's be real if you're looking for a place to sleep, party, and stay outside most of the time. Then this place is OK but if you want a nicer place then look somewhere else.

we loved being that close to the ocean... and that our pet was welcome on the beach. we loved your helpful staff... very personable, helpful folk. we did not like the fact that there was no designated "spot" for our dog to walk/potty. we did not like the bathroom configuration, nor the fact that there was carpet in the room. all our other dog friendly rooms had vinyl flooring, which smells fresher, easier to clean up any dogfood spills, and is what our dog is used to.

The rooms need major updating. Everything is old and worn out. The bed and bedding were uncomfortable and old. The floors looked dirty. There was barely any hot water. And they say no smoking, but there was a steady stream of smoke smell coming from a panel in my bathroom. Very sub par. The only thing that was decent was the refrigerator. And the walls were paper thin. I could hear conversations a dog barking in the room next to me, and people talking outside the motel until 3am. I would not recommend this motel if you are used to any kind of standards.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this motel. We were looking for a last minute booking that accepts dogs and stumbled across the Sea Esta 1. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I even lost my cell phone which was found by one employee and returned to the office who then got it back to me. I plan on going again next year.

Short walk to beach. Yes, the Sea Esta 1 is an old (landmark) building, but the room was very clean and served our needs for our short visit. Great breakfast right next door to the hotel.

Room was musty smelling and kind of gross, but not dirty. Hasn't been updated in years. Water pressure was nice in the shower but not hot water in the sink. Dog-friendly which is nice and maybe the reason for the condition.
