excellent hotel with great staff.
this is a wonderful hotel. There is much good about the facilities and comfort...and food...but the really great thing about this hotel is their wonderful staff. So many great folks. Two guys that stand out for me (and who's names I can remember) are Numan in the lobby and Rimon in the room top restaurant. But many other great people, too.

Terrible hotel providing misleading and insufficient information at the time of the booking and denying to provide a refund. The rooftop pool advertised on the hotel's page turned out to be closed. Not only that but the staff came to my room and banged the doors to remove my guest saying "guests are not allowed".

There are too many staffs on lobby gossiping very loudly instead of helping the guest. I made reservations with this hotel through hotel.com. Concierge Of the hotel wasn’t knowledgeable. I made full payments at the time of reservations. Soon I arrived at the hotel they kept me along waiting to find the reservation in their system. Later they were asking me to provide my business card or visiting card at the front desk . I gave them my USA passport. They were keep asking me for the card. After that they were asking me to keep deposit for there security purposes which will be refundable. Overall it was too much hassle for my daughter and I. Definitely this hotel management needs to come forward to resolve this issue. Forget to mentioned their insane price of mini snacks bar in the room. As an example, small can of sprite taka 350.00 out side of the hotel’s price is taka 35.00. Sine I have the worst experience definitely I will give the hotel one star ranking.

worst hotel in Dhaka
The worst of worst can anyone ask for. First of all the hotel policy is the worst than any other hotel in Bangladesh. If you are a couple you MUST proof your relationship with your wife by Marriage Certificate NO EXCEPTIONS !! They will deny you if you don’t. Manager is very unprofessional and unable to answer certain critical questions. General Manager is very Polite and was able to calm the situation. I just flew in 25 hours and right at the chek in i was blasted with relationship question with my wife. I was forced to show my marriage certificate or deny boarding. At the end of the night, management sent a cake for the confusion they cause. Management seriously need to get the facts in check and train their employees. My wife and i have been insulted and devastated. We was shocked !!

The rooms are comfortable. The hotel is but tucked away from Gulshan CBD. Very quiet. Choose the lake view room for privacy. Staff are very helpful. The restaurant Manager Islam was very very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Comfort with a small roof top pool for cooling off
Very comfortable room with good wifi, great size bathroom and large bed. Rooftop pool was small but lovely to relax at after a dusty, hot day out in Dhaka. There were only a few sunbeds at the poolside but it wasn't too busy when we stayed in February. There is no bar at the hotel however there is a restaurant and coffee shop. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to suit everyone.

After long hours in Dhaka Airport we came to the hotel, we were not too happy with the room we had, because the last people who stayed could have smoked in the room even though it was non smoking. Then the person who took us to the room he told us don’t worry if you don’t like the room, I will try and do something. Within few minutes he spoke to the duty manager and give the phone to my self, so I explained to the duty manager regarding why we did not like the room, then the duty manager upgraded our room for free. We had a brilliant stay, with an excellent view of the city, staff were so friendly helped us with everything, including booking airline tickets to cox bazar. Message to the management team, keep it up you guys are doing an amazing job, I have traveled to many destinations worldwide and stay in 5 star hotels on a regular basis, you guys have excellent customer service second to none, keep it up.

The room i was allocated was impressive, bed was comfortable, room was clean, decor & lighting was very easy on the eyes, a very good room....only comment I could make was the state of the carpet, could do with a steam clean. But overall I would book this hotel again if stopping over in Dhaka....also the food buffet was really good too.
