Wannabe 5-Star boutique resort
15 mths, 5 Maldives trips, 6 5-star hotels, all happy EXCEPT for Hideaway. I was assured during booking that a seaplane-ride directly to hotel, no long domestic/speedboat trip, or no booking. 3 days before departure, no seaplane info, usually within a wk from booking. Repeatedly called to obtain until 2hrs before flying. In Male, waited in Hideaway/Lily Lounge, "plane is coming", 2hr delay not hotel's fault, but no lunch items offered, usually ample food/drinks from other hotels. Samsara: Salad with avocado, no sign of avocado. US$25 edamame badly cooked and not fresh, London Zuma or Nobu would not dare to price like that. Poor manager tried to redeem situation on our next meals when we complaint. Breakfast: nightmare from noise level, droves of all-inclusive Chinese groups. US$16 for a green coconut, locally grown wild, in Conrad Rangali US$7, Shangri-La US$6. Spa SUBPAR, good therapists but CHEAP and old constructions. Taj Exotica, Conrad and Shangri-la beautiful spas. Rm Service never return to pick-up trays. PRIVATE US$825 dirty dhoni charter was a joke, unsafe upper-deck banister. Snorkeling guide was the ONLY good thing. Sunset Pool Cafe, GREAT professional Indian chef saved a few dinners by making special meals, making up for many things offered but not available, and not taken off the menu. Hotel pen, usually a give-away asking US$20!! Poor Villa Host pushed to "sell". Return transfer was a disaster.

I booked a Deluxe Water Villa for 4 nights and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The transportation to the hotel is a bit long. 1st, a 50 mins flight, which we waited 3 hours for in a lounge with free wifi and refreshments. and then a 20 mins speedboat ride. Keep in mind there is usually only 2 flights a day, one in the morning (9-11am) and one in the evening (4-6pm). So, word of advice, book a flight to MLE that arrives no later than 8am so you can catch the morning flight. We arrived in MLE at 2pm but finished checking in to our room at 8pm, so basically the first day was wasted because we couldn't catch the morning flight. Once we're there it was a heavenly experience! The blue waters and the beautiful sky, a perfect getaway/hideaway (see what I did there?!). A lot of activities that can be done for couples and families. Good food. GREAT SERVICE (shout out to our butler Omaima! who made thing much easier for us). This is a trip I'll never forget!

Mi paraíso en Maldivas
El resort es extraordinario. Me alojé en una de las ocean villa con piscina (villa 307) y era increíble. Todo el personal era muy amable e intentan agradarte en todo momento. Todo el entorno es muy bonito y está muy bien cuidado. Puedes hacer snorkel, montar en bici y hacer un montón de actividades. Altamente recomendable para pasar unos días en un auténtico paraíso.

It is the most beautiful and complete hotel in the Maldives, the services are impeccable, the very large and airy villas, snorkeling by the villa, excursions and daily fishing. Superb everything.

Great experience for family of 5
This is our 5th visit to the fantastic islands of the Maldives. We are already looking forward to the 6th. I would really like to highlight the friendliness and the service level of all the different staff members of this resort - the best we have experienced at the Maldives ever! It is quite obvious that the staff is trained to focus on the customers/guests at all times and their well-being! I got a bacteria-inflamation in my throat at the plane to the Maldives. The doctor at the resort was excellent, caring and service-minded and cured the disease. Impressing to experience the way we were treated, when playing football and football-matches at the new football Pitch, with the staff- great fun and excersise!

ok.. positivesssss are clean ,nice enviroment ,good coral for snorkel negativess are : far need internal trip from male , overpriced activities , cloudy water in the over water villa areas all the time due to sands close to the surface of the sea near the villas draging that dust to beach by sea waves

5 star hotel, 2 star service
The hotel is not as good as their description, especially everything need to go with the Butlers, which means what kind of service you can get must deped on the Butler's experience. Our butler is youngish, a couple of times we was told th food we ordered was not available after 20 mins waiting and my 2 years old daughter crying for hunger. The thing made me very angry was that the Butler informed us we must check out 12 pm and depature island at 6:15 pm on my leaving day. I asked whethe we could expend half day or move to any available room for my daughter's noon sleeping, and I was told no room is available and our room was ordered by other guest. After discussion with the manager, our room finally kept to 5 pm, so my question is who was lier ? The overall feeling for this hotel is not comfortable, but if you are lucky enough to have experienced butler, maybe your feeling much more better.
