You'll enjoy wonderful views of Mont Blanc and the Aravis mountains from this spacious contemporary chalet, in a quiet location in the village of Domancy.

Despite its situation at the end of a cul-de-sac, the chalet is just minutes away from great skiing and mountains sports - it's just 3km from Sallanches, 6km from Comboux and 11km from Megeve. You'll need a car when you stay at Chalet Les Vosnes, but the proximity to the A40 autoroute makes getting around easy.

All year long, enjoy the lush hot tub facing the Mont Blanc and relaxing in the jacuzzi. In the summer, you can cool off with a swim in the nearby Lac de Passy (5km) - there's a great choice of watersports to enjoy here too.

Whatever time of you year you visit, there's plenty to keep you busy in this beautiful area, and at the end of an exhilarating day, you can relax in the hot tub or the sauna, or simply take in the views from the terrace.

Accommodation at Chalet Les Vosnes is set over three floors, plus a mezzanine floor. There's plenty of room for up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, with five bath or shower rooms.

As you enter on the ground floor, you'll find a double bedroom and a separate shower room. The high-ceilinged hall leads on to the spacious living area, where a sofa and cosy seating is arranged around a fireplace and television. The large dining table has bench seating and is large enough to get together over a good meal.

Sliding doors flood this area with light, and open on to the terrace, which had breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. There's room to eat out here too, and the wonderful mountain air is sure to give you a healthy appetite! There are wonderful views from the hot tub, which is in a covered area on the terrace, so that you can enjoy the bubbles whatever the weather. There's another shower area here, too, with a toilet.

The stylish contemporary kitchen is fully-equipped with quality appliances. There's plenty of workspace as well as a central island, so there's room for more than one cook to share the work!

There's also a useful office on this floor, perfect for working from home, which opens on to the balcony.

There's another double bedroom with a shower room on the lower ground floor, where you'll also find a laundry room with a washer, dryer and sink. A games room with table football, a television and a couple of barrel-style tables gives guests another option for relaxing - it's sure to be very popular with older children looking for their own space.

There are four more bedrooms on the top floor: a spacious double room has a large open en suite shower and bathroom with a seating area and access to the balcony, which it shares with another double room. There's also a room with two twin beds, which is ideal for children, and a further double room on a mezzanine floor.

Beneath the mezzanine floor is a sauna and shower room, and a separate toilet.

Chalet Les Vosnes has plenty of parking space, as well as a garage for one ca.

ABOUT THE AREA ...

Chalet Les Vosnes is situated in Domancy, which has easy access to great skiing and mountain sports.

Nearby Combloux, Megève, and Saint-Gervais are part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, and it's a 30 minute drive to the Espace Diamant, which comprises Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Saisies. This area played host to the winter Olympics in 1992.

Experienced skiers looking for some stunning night skiing should head for the Vallée Blanche - do hire a guide for this 23km run which, with a 2,000m drop, will take you from the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace, an almost surreal experience under a full moon.

For a change from skiing, why not try dog-sledding or snow-shoe walking, which are both available within a short drive of Chalet Les Vosnes. For a little more adventure, why not try ice climbing, via ferrata or paragliding.

In the summer, the mountains become the domain of walkers and cyclists. There's so much to see in this varied landscape, explore the Argentière glacier or perhaps the Baroque footpath, a 20km trail from Combloux to Les Contamines-Montjoie, which takes you past some of the area's finest baroque buildings. Look out for marmots along the way!

Fancy a swim? Head for Lac de Passy where you can relax in the pure waters fed by mountain streams surrounded by wildflowers and stunning views of Mont Blanc. Take a picnic and relax while the kids enjoy the great play area. There's also a treetop adventure course, pedalos and mini-golf as well as windsurfing, paddle boarding and fishing - it's a great family day out.
