'Room was very clean and smelled sanitized; in general that's a plus but I'm sensitive to smells and would have rather had more of a fresh air smell. The bed was comfortable and the shower had enough warm water. Look carefully at the photos because that is exactly what's there. It's a small room with a modern minimalist gray/black vibe, and minimal lighting - only a lamp on the very small table and a lamp on one side of the bed. It was fine for sleeping, but we would have preferred brighter light...

'We were excited to stay at the Blue Star motel for the first time! We’ve always stayed right in town normally and this was a change for us. Our room was absolutely beautiful, so quaint, very clean and very comfortable. Loved the back deck area with pavilion and plenty of space to stretch out. The location was ideal as we could avoid the chaos in downtown Saugatuck and opt for other places to try for shopping and for eating. The Blue Star cafe was delicious! And right next door was the best...
