Writer's Cove - Hoofdstuk 2 ligt verscholen in een bosrijke omgeving op slechts drie blokken van Douglas Beach. Deze 2 slaapkamer, 1 badkamer duplex met een terras, een volledige keuken en slaapplaatsen voor 6 bij gebruik van de uitklapbare tweepersoons slaapbank. Slechts een 5 minuten lopen naar Douglas Beach, dit huis is op de perfecte locatie voor kleine gezinnen of een kleine groep vrienden op zoek naar een geweldige vakantie!

Perfect ingericht voor een kort of lang verblijf, hoofdstuk twee heeft hardhouten vloeren, een open woonkamer, een keuken en een grote achtertuin met een terras, gas barbecue, buiten zitplaatsen en een vuurplaats! Met gedeeltelijk omheinde achtertuin, dit huis is geweldig voor honden! Full Size wasmachine en droger in het apparaat.

Deze woning heeft 2 slaapkamers - een met een queensize bed en de andere met 2 twins / split-king, een slaapbank en een complete badkamer met een bad / douchecombinatie. De woonkamer biedt plaats aan 6 + met een flatscreen 32 '' HDTV, kabel-tv, dvd-speler, toegang tot Netflix en volledige WiFI door het hele huis. Uitgerust met games en een bibliotheek met leesmateriaal. De woonkamer komt uit in de lichte keuken die alles heeft wat je nodig hebt om geweldige maaltijden te bereiden.

Walk to the beach!

Loved the location, easy to walk to the beach and quick drive to town. We come to the area a few times a year and first time we stayed in Douglas. Home was cute and a perfect size for my family and pup. Owner was very prompt with questions and answering them. Not to the fault of the owner, there must have been a little animal stuck in/near property as which flared our allergies, she was very apologetic. The kids just needed to sleep in the living room. I did love the home and area.

Great Family Spot in Quiet Neighborhood

First, the location is great. The home is nestled in a quite neighborhood but w/in a very short walk of Douglas Beach. At the same time, if you want to explore Saugatuck and the other area beaches, you are minutes away. Jackie is a considerate hostess and the place is really well-stocked with the essentials and some great extras. The deck is very nice as is the entire backyard area. We were very active during our visit and primarily used the home for dinner and sleeping and it was perfect for our needs but would've been great had we spent more time there as well.

Great Douglas Summer House

This cute house is just a short walk from Douglas Beach, making it easy to visit and not have to worry about parking! Close to everything in Douglas and Saugatuck without being directly downtown. We saw deer everyday and was a perfect summer getaway

Well kept house in great location

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The backyard had some woods which made it feel more private, and the deer were always present (and love apples!) The neighborhood was beautiful and a short walk to the beach as described (10 mins for my family with an 8 and 3 year old). We really enjoyed being able to walk/bike to the Woosah Outside Coffee shop at the top of the hill. One thing we couldn’t figure out is the smoke detector went off multiple times while cooking in the kitchen when it wasn’t smoky at all and we even had the windows open. We would definitely return to this property and neighborhood!

Lovely spot in Douglas

We had a nice stay! The beds were comfortable. The kids loved sleeping on the convertible couch and having AC helped in the warm summer. We were able to walk to Douglas Beach park which was beautiful for sunset. It is more rocky in the water so we ended up on a short drive to Opal Beach ($15 for the day with in and out privileges, bathrooms, snack shop) which was easier on the feet when swimming. At the house we saw deer on our walks and even right behind the property! We utilized the fire pit one night but didn't get a chance to use the outdoor grill. I would stay again going back to Douglas.

A Perfect Family Getaway

We loved our stay at this cozy cottage in Douglas. The location is ideal. It's walkable to the beach, as well as a fantastic coffee shop and ice cream/hot dog stand, and it's just a short drive to downtown Saugatuck. The cottage itself was also great - comfortable, clean and well-stocked with a great backyard space.

The best!

This little house is perfect. It has a short walk to the beach. I have a 7 and 9 year old and we probably made that walk to the beach 15 times in a week and they never complained once. This short walk is crucial because there is rarely parking available at Douglas Beach.

Western MI surprises with a tropical vibe in the Midwest! Relaxing, quiet neighborhood with easy access to a beautiful small beach w/stellar sunsets! Close to gorgeous Saugatuck Dunes State Park, more beaches & quaint towns on the water. Cottage was exactly as listed & stocked well for a traveling family. Backyard was spacious and cottage was a good size for a family of 4 with teenagers. Great kitchen options - nice hot water (& bathtub!) and the washer & dryer were a great help! Host has is all right!

Cute cottage in quiet spot near Lake Michigan

We enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage in a very peaceful neighborhood. Only a short walk to the very small Douglas beach and a quick drive to larger beaches, as well as shopping and dining, in Saugatuck, Holland and South Haven. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog with us, as well!

Excellent location and communicative owner

We really enjoyed working with Jackie- she was helpful the whole time. The location is perfect- walk to the Douglas beach and drive to store, root beer and outdoor coffee. The bedrooms were as pictured. however, the couch would not make a comfortable sleeping option as listed as an option. The cottage was not as clean as we had hoped and there were not many cleaning items in the property to clean it ourselves. The bath needs some new faucet handles.
