'This place is a real gem! It’s clean, charming, unique, and filled with history. The innkeeper, Karl, will happily tell you as many stories as you have time for. The room was lovely, as were the various common areas of the old mansion. 'Our family of 5 (3 teens) loved the Traveler's Rest! This hotel has so much more character and charm than a standard hotel in the suburbs. Our teens described it as a "Wes Anderson movie vibe." Our beds were comfortable, the Byer's' Suite with three beds, two bedrooms and a private washroom was perfect for all five of us, and the common area is comfortable with great coffee. We are so happy we had a chance to experience an authentic Pittsburgh neighbourhood while in town for a youth sports...
