NIce people and very welcoming but not very helpful with helping to book activities Cottage we stayed in looks somewhat worse than pictures. The mosquito screen needs repair - we had bug fly into room at night

Hello sir, I want you to know that I respect your comments, but if I want to clarify that I wrote to you so that you would know that on the date you came it was very difficult to get the tours since the demand is high and they must be booked in advance, you asked us for the tours 2 days before your arrival, and even so I was calling the tour operators for hours trying to get the tours you wanted, when I finally got them the same tour operator told me that they already had some tours booked in your name. Regarding the animals or insects that you may have seen, it is something that we cannot avoid since we are in corcovado bone in the jungle, it is funny that people come to corcovado because it is one of the few places where they find pure nature and arrive here and they get upset because they got frog insects, by God we are in the jungle, they just have to remember that they must close the door of their room if they do not want to have an insect inside!

If you have chosen the Osa Peninsula as a vacation destination, than you are prepared to drive through seven rivers and over a plank bridge to get to Drake Bay. Proof that your intrepid nature can handle a shower that is intermittently cool. Although our gracious host changed our cabin for us, it did little to improve the temperture of the "on-demand" hot water and there is no television. No matter. That's not why you came to the Osa anyways! Hidden Paradise Lodge has much to recommend! In a gorgeously wild setting, the cabins are outfitted with what might be described as "rustic elegance". Breakfast and dinner were both varied and excellent.

Simple but confortable bungalows. Very well situated for those wanting direct access to the rain forest. Not so easy for those wanting access to cafés beach and restaurants. Breakfast included and the lunch and dinner cooking excellent but to my mind expensive at $15 for lunch and $25 for dinner. There may be better deals if you take a package. Ask.

Stayed here a few nights in March, 2019. Costa Rica trip for spring break. The cabins were great! Spacious and private. We had a couple of cabins toward the back of the property. Each cabin has a front porch with 1 or 2 hammocks to relax in. Definitely secluded, but very nice stay and central to different areas in Drake Bay. Maria and family were wonderful--cooking was excellent ---delicious food. She set up both of our excursions to Sirena in Corcovado and snorkeling in Isla del Cano. We drove there from the Uvita area--we took the long way that was mostly on rodeway---but about an hour on dirt road--that was quite an adventure. You can also get there by a shorter route by ferry. If you are looking for great hosts and peace and quite--this is the place!!

Beautiful place, wonderful owners
I traveled here solo, and I must say that Jorge, Maria, Anthony and the little girls were very accommodating. My trip was easy as they made it easy. This family is incredibly kind and good people. The area is beautiful, and you will go to bed and wake up to the sounds of nature around you. I recommmend taking a tour with Gustavo, who will scout out birds for you. Very close to the hotel, I saw a sloth, toucan, macaws, snake, trogon, and many other wildlife within minutes of the hotel. If you need to get to town, you can walk or pay a fee and the hotel will provide you with personalized taxi service. If you want to go on diving, snorkeling, park, or other trips, Hidden Paradise will take care of it for you. This place is very clean, and you will eat great food (breakfast is included, you can pay for additional meals). This small town and lodging are beautiful, and is the perfect getaway if you need to relax and get away from the business of your life.

Great for the outdoorsy type
This hotel was truly amazing. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. The jungle views and wildlife we're fabulous!! The only problem we had was getting there. Do not attempt to stay here without 4WD! The roads are unpaved and cross several streams with no bridges. If you are cominh for a real outdoors expierence, this is the place to be!
