Enjoy the countryside
The place is very comfortable, fine character buildings in a country setting. The room we had was not big but not cramped, well furnished with nice facilities. Tea and coffee in the room, supplemented with a couple of bottle of water. The only thing to be aware of is that if you use a SatNav to find it, and you will need one if you don't know the location as the turn off from the main roads are not easy to spot, use the cooking school reference as the title Highfield Farm can lead you the wrong way.

Great place, lovely helpful team and fab food!
What a great place - beautiful room, giant comfy bed, nice and peaceful. Everyone on site was friendly and helpful, breakfast was fantastic and it's only a shame we were staying just the one night!

Beautiful farm hotel
Beautiful Farm hotel, in the middle of the fields. Great service and breakfast, comfortablebeds, rooms in good condition. No restaurant.

Amazing breakfast
I really enjoyed the peace and quiet, slept very well in a comfy bed and the Yorkshire breakfast was amazing especially the black pudding.

Excellent guest house.
This was our first time staying at Highfield farm. We both have disabilities and the facilities in the disabled room were adequate for our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the best bacon we had ever tasted. When visiting our family again will be definatley be staying there.

Very pleasant and comfortable B&B, the only downside is the lack of space in the dining room. No more than eight people can sit comfortably at any one time even clean and quietthough there was seating for 15.

Very Good
Really nice stay, a very attractive farmhouse and the room was nicely decorated. The breakfast was also very nice. Very quiet as well with Driffield a ten minute drive if you needed somewhere to go out and eat. I would recommend Hotel 41 for food.

Enjoyed our stay,wonderful surroundings,rooms very comfy if a little small and cramped. Nice lounge downstairs as well. Breakfast was lovely,with a lot of choice.

In the middle of wonderful countryside
If you want to cycle then great place. Rooms very good Breakfast is served on 2 large tables in a Room too small to move around the table. No privacy or peace to eat. Conversations of 12 people in a small room was not a good experience. Cooked breakfast was ok but not what we were expecting considering there is a cookery school on site. Pleasant but not experienced staff.

We've stayed at Highfield on numerous occasions now. Found it online by accident, and keep going back for brief stays when visiting family. The rooms and breakfasts are top notch, and there's sometimes a late evening tea,coffee & chocolate brownie when we book in. Highly recommended

Not your usual hotel.
Not a proper hotel. There was no one there to greet us or check us in. Luckily there was a guest there to show us where to look for our room key. There was a note on the door with a phone number to ring, but if you didn't have a mobile phone, you might panic! Breakfast was included in our price, so we thought as there was a kitchen there should be able to get an evening meal too. No such luck. There was a note in the room advising you could get a meal if you asked for one 24 hours in advance! Apart from the lack of information regarding the set up at Highfield Farm, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel & the breakfast was freshly cooked & the staff ( when there were any there) were very friendly. This is an establishment attached to a cookery school which provides day courses & weekday residential courses, so weekend bookings are an add on. It is in the middle of nowhere & I think it would help if there were better signs off the main road to indicate the way to get to it. These are minor points because the place is peaceful & the room was very clean. There was a comfortable lounge with a big screen TV, but the TV in the room was so small you couldn't read any written information on it.

We only came for one night in order to attend a funeral of a cousin at the nearby crematorium. We were very impressed by the welcome - very friendly and attentive - offered us a pot of tea and cake. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation - lounge, bedroom, bathroom and breakfast were all excellent. It was a lovely quiet and beautiful part of Yorkshire. I highly recommend it.

Comfort for soul, body and tummy.
Great location for visiting beach (Bridlington) or city of York, as well as local places of interest, eg Milton for the Farmers' Market. Very quiet location and best breakfast ever, although at shared tables, so be prepared to socialise over your black pudding and eggs in the morning. This is also the home of the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School. Staff all very friendly, and welcoming Cuppa and cake was a treat, after struggling to find the location, even with google maps! Could be better signposted!

Excellent accommodation, made to feel very welcome and the staff couldn't do enough. This is a very intimate hotel and is ideal to use as a base for exploring. The only downside is to make sure you eat at night before returning as nothing around but fields ! Would definitely recommend and definitely use again

Great nights sleep.
Really comfortable,got an excellent nights sleep. Only gripe was that the internet connection was not good due to weather conditions. Mobile had no signal either. However, this could be seen as a blessing!

Excellent service in beautiful accomodation.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and the accessible room ideal ( although there wasn't much room for getting around with a wheelchair). The bed was the comfiest I've slept in for a long time. The lounge and other facilities were available to guests. A welcoming pot of tea and cake was very welcome. Breakfast was lovely - cooked on demand from a wide range of options. I didn't want to leave!

Simple, Remote and brilliant!
Beautifully restored and converted farm buildings in the middle of nowhere, provide clean well appointed accommodation. No frills, no nearby facilities at all, but all you really need for a stay away in the open Yorkshire countryside. And breakfast was fantastic!!!

A Hidden Countryside Treasure
