I had a great stay during my business trip. The location is beautiful and the service at the hotel itself is absolutely top level. I got an upgrade and my every wish regarding the room, service was accommodated. The hotel in my opinion lacks chique meaning that in the bathroom, on the balcony you can see paint marks, dried glue remains in the corners, dust on the outer walls of the balcony. Also the hotel lacks greenery and as a result many areas feel concrete and unwelcoming. What disappointed me the most is the taste of the dishes of the room dining menu (I ordered a quinoa salad and wine and it was inedible plus the amount of wine brought to me was maybe half a glass ).Then after giving up on in room I went to one of the restaurants on the second floor and it was also a big disappointment in terms of the food taste. I ordered local fish dish and the fish was too dry with quite a bit of salt almost on the border line of being too much. Overall I had a positive experience and especially thanks to the great effort of the whole Movenpick service team but food wise I would not recommend to order anything.

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Minpunt aan de accommodatie is de bouwwerf rechtover. Veroorzaakt nogal veel lawaai zeker voor de kamers met frontaal zeezicht. Ook gedurende de nacht. Positief was dat we onmiddellijk een andere en betere kamer kregen na onze klacht inzake het nachtlawaai.

Geweldige locatie in een gezellige buurt.Alleen wel veel bouw werkzaamheden.Daardoor uitzicht op een bouwput en wat geluid overlast.Maar dit niet als storend ervaren. Als je dit niet wil moet je niet naar Dubai gaan want ze zijn echt overal met bouw werkzaamheden bezig om Dubai nog mooier te maken. Verder was dit een top hotel met mooie ruime kamers en een zeer goede service en ligging.

Prettig, goed verzorgd hotel. Leuke buurt zo aan “The Walk”. Dat er voor de deur een nieuw hotel gebouwd wordt is wel echt jammer. Het gaat ten koste van het uitzicht, er is geen zon meer bij het zwembad en je hoort een uur of 18 per dag de bouwwerkzaamheden.

Schoon/mooi hotel aan zee! Veel restaurantjes/bios/supermarkten/pinautomaten in de buurt. Leuk om te wandelen. Enig minpuntje is dat t.o. het hotel wordt gebouwd. Niet heel storend, maar je hoort het wel.

Hello there! 🙋‍♂️ This marks my sixth visit to glitzy Dubai 🌃 & I usually opt for accommodations within the Marina JBR areas. This time round, a slight change, I decided to try out the Movenpick at JBR for the first time.🏨 Brought along my family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and friends that formed two big happy units. We decided to book half-board trips for both families and dove headfirst into 10 days of supposed luxury and relaxation. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't quite live up to expectations. Breakfast and dinner came out bland and were a sort of let down, not the culinary experience I was hoping for. 🥗🥘 As a result, much to our dismay, we had to seek taste outside for nine days, incurring additional costs which was unsavoury. Not to mention the lack of cordiality when approached for something as simple as apple and orange juice for the kids while dining in. The restaurant staff even went as far as to say that soft drinks were not included! 🙄🍹 On a brighter note, the reception and cleaning team were wonderful, especially the dedicated folks at the swimming pool. The lifeguards were extraordinarily helpful which made my day every time. 🏊‍♂️👍 One hiccup was the fact that despite having a scenic balcony view, the noise from horns and exhausts made sleep an impossible task 😴🚘🔊. Would I recommend the hotel? Yes, mainly due to its fantastic location! 👌 But I wouldn't say the same about the on-site restaurant. If you can take your meals outside, I suggest you

Negatief: Personeel en service
I chose the hotel for I knew the brand (Movenpick) and the location but for sure Movinpick should reconsider their current management & staff knowledge and understanding! on early morning around 2:30 AM some guests were partying disco style and much to my surprise after almost 30 mins I had to call the reception to report the incident.

Friendly staff
It's a nice hotel, but not more than you would expect from five stars. The room layout was a little odd with an opening to the bathroom. But we really appreciated the late checkout given to us on account of being premium Hotels.com members. The staff was overall exceptional which is the primary reason I am submitting this review.

Superb location and lovely front office staff, extremely convenient and value for money. Bathroom shower flooded from the shower cubicle everytime we used it. Didn’t bother us too much as we were just using it as a base to sleep. Another minor annoyance was being hassled by the perfume and property sales people in the lobby shops everytime we walked past to and from the elevator.
