'Really nice cottage. Upon arrival there were still towels in the dryer and some soapy water in the sink. We couldn't figure out how to get the bathroom fan going, but dried up quickly with open door and open window just opposite. More, bigger pans would have been nice.'

'Simply Outstanding. Don't go by the over- or under-photoshopped pics. The place is extremely comfortable, well-sized, with a plush bathroom, all imaginable amenities, the nicest kitchen we have seen, and amazing views. Please don't forget to gaze at the stars at night. We stayed in the Learach room. Since this is the located the "lowest" of all cabins, it gets the least amount of afternoon / evening sun and limited views of the water from outside, but we didn't mind. '

'Our room was lovely with a beautiful view over the loch and the Isle of Skye. In spite of being in the middle of a major refurbishment the staff were extremely corteous and helpful and made every effort to ensure our stay was a good one. The room was clean and comfortable with a really good shower and we had a lovely tray of tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us on our arrival.. We will certainly make a return visit some time in the near future.'

'Met de ferry naar Isle of Raasay en overnachten in een hotel met whiskybrouwerij. Het complex bezit een smaakvolle combinatie van oud/traditioneel met nieuw, fris en jong. Enthousiaste, flexibele en betrokken medewerkers. Rondleiding door de brouwerij was leuk en leerzaam. Bij mooi/helder weer een geweldig uitzicht vanuit alle openbare ruimtes. Goed ontbijt, mooie kamer. '

'Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. 'This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy.
