cannot fault our stay here. everything was lovely from start to finish. friendly staff room clean and comfy, food great will definitely be back and recommend this wee gem of a place

Nice Inn, very welcoming and friendly, clean, service very good, everyone pplite and helpful, we had small room, very compact, but comfortable, only fault was cold, we did discover a portable heater in a cupboard on morning of departure so guess had been issue before with other guests. We should of course had said something. But equally perhaps should have been told there was the additional heater. But we did not let this spoil a nice stay in a beautiful area. The food also for dinner and breakfast was very good.

Wonderful location, bedrooms are up a semi spiral staircase, a bit tricky for the less able. Food and staff excellent, bed a bit soft for our liking.

cozy, lots of character, great value
Such a lovely inn with a lot of character. My room was small and a bit dark but super cozy and smelled of wood (which I love). The bed was comfy. The room was right over the dining room so I got a lot of noise transfer (could clearly hear people's conversations) but it was quiet during sleeping hours. The staff members were friendly, the parking was easy, and the scenery nearby was lovely on some walks I took. My booking was without meals but there's not much nearby so I had both dinner and breakfast there and thought both were so-so (dinner better than breakfast). Beautiful views from the dining room. It was also one of the most affordable stays of my 6-weeks trip to Scotland.

I wish I could keep this place a secret it is such a hidden gem. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable (despite the attic ceiling being a bit low) and the view of the loch to die for. The food was the best we have had in 2 months in the UK, certainly a cut above a normal pub meal and good valuecfor money. Bedrooms are upstairs which could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues

Not good on your website you said that breakfast was included in the price but when arrived we were told that breakfast was extra so we were not happy with that and so we decided to stay somewhere else.

The Whistlefield Inn is a very unique place to stay. It is best described as a quaint and cosy country inn with a delightful bar and restaurant and quiet, clean rooms. The atmosphere is glowing and the food is very good at both breakfast and dinner, with plenty of options. We had a birthday meal for 14 and the staff looked after us really well. Everyone enjoyed the food - compliments to the chef. On the second morning my toast was burnt and shouldn’t have been served, but otherwise we had a really excellent second stay.

Great location, great food
A wonderful old pub full of character you are made to feel very welcome and the food is excellent. We dont eat meat and the menu was fantastic with plenty of choice. The breakfasts were amazing with perfectly poached eggs every morning. And the location is fantastic with so many walks and places to visit. I would definitely recomend a stay here.

This was my husband's and my first time to Scotland and our stay at the Whistlefield was quintessential Scotland, exactly how we hoped it would be. The views were out of this world. The Whistlefield even has two private paths to two secret lookouts. The rooms were comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and had great views. The food and drinks were perhaps the best part of our stay. Breakfast is included in your stay and the dinner menu rotates each night with amazing locally sourced options. Can't say enough good things about the food and the service. There is also an outside patio to sit on and overlook the loch. The owners live on site and are so sweet and friendly. We made friends each night sitting in the quaint bar area with locals, fellow guests, and staff. It's a short drive to nearby hikes, scenery, and towns. Can't recommend the Whistlefield enough!

Gorgeous location with stunning views of loch and mountains. Walks direct from the inn, so didn't nee the car. Excellent food - great range of evening meals although sad I was only there for 2 nights and so couldn't try them all. Mix of meat, veggie and vegan meals. Great beer and whisky. Friendly staff - very homely. Will definitely return.

Stay was fantastic. Restricted menu but what was available was superb. All set up with COVID-19 restrictions in place and well maintained. As for the two girls namely Claire and Suzy who worked the bar and the restaurant over the two nights we were there, I cannot thank them enough, they worked so hard with the restaurant being fully booked for lunches and dinners. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made our stay well worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone to pay this place a visit. Will be back.
