'Wonderful cozy little cabin right on the water. Great location with a short drive into Dunvegan. The cabin was well equipped with everything you need to make simple meals. All appliances were new and worked perfectly. Shower was comfortable and easy to use and John also provided a washer/dryer combo which was especially nice after struggling to get clothes dry in previous accommodations. The cabins were a perfect peaceful place after being in cities!'

'Nous avons passé 3 nuits chez John, tout etait tres bien. Le logement est propre, cosy et confortable. La vue est tres belle et emplacement paisible. Facilité de parking. Rien a redire, nous recommandonsla cabin 2. Juste en cas de vent, pensez a prendre des boules quies, mais ca c est dans toutes les cabanes sur Skye ;) et les 2 derniers 100m de la route est abîmée donc juste attention aux voitures rabaissées . Merci a John, nous avons passé un bon sejour et merci pour le parking motos :)'

'The cottage was just a pictured - quaint, well appointed, cozy, and quite. Our hostess was very pleasant, providing us a warm welcome and suggestions for dining and visits. We wanted to be a bit out of the way as we visited the Isle of Skye and this location/cottage checked all boxes. 'Overall, a great lodging in the heart of a quaint community. It was just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and a grocery. (BTW, if you arrive late, like we did shortly after 8, either quickly make to a restaurant–most close their kitchens by 8:30–or do what we did, go down the street toward the grocery near the water's edge and pick up things you can cook). 'Sehr tolles kleines Haus. Würde es jeder Zeit wieder buchen. Hatten zwar kleine Mängel, habe diese aber dem Besitzer direkt mitgeteilt. Es zu finden, war nicht so einfach, man muss schon etwas weiter fahren als das Restaurant und dann kommen links lauter Schilder und da fährt man dann nach oben. Tolle Aussicht mit einer beruhigenden Stille. Kauft davor gut ein, da vor Ort keine Geschäfte sind. 'Perfectly located for a short walk in Portree and a drive around the Isle of Skye. We had two families w/teens and found the space perfect for sleeping and a large dining space for all of us to eat together. Easy check in/out. Ready to go back already!'

'Our stay here was perfectly timed in the middle of our trip, giving us the peaceful place to rest and recharge...not to mention wash clothes. It's modern with all amenities, beautiful and with tremendous views. All we would add would be a couple of hammocks and it would be perfect. Thank you for sharing it with us!'

"The pod is very nice, clean and has a lovely view. Very near to Portree and all the restaurants, shops, etc. A perfect location to start exploring the island from. Breakfast is great (a cute tray with yoghurt, croissant, fruits for every table and on top of that you can order warm food from the menu) The people working there are very friendly. Unfortunately they are short of staff and you notice that. Breakfast takes a bit longer than usual, the restaurant was shut on one of the days we stayed there and the lounge/bar was closed during our stay. Luckily there is a pizza guy (Pizza in the Skye) just down the hill that makes terrific pizza’s to take and eat in the pod with some Netflix on or to sit out and watch the stars if the weather is good. Would recommend this stay for the location, view, cosiness, etc. but price is quite high. Though I must add prices are sky high on Skye everywhere.."
