Het ongelooflijke landschap zal je verbazen terwijl je vanuit bijna elke kamer in het huis een prachtig uitzicht op het meer en de omliggende bergen hebt. Gelegen op 9 hectare in een prive en afgelegen gemeenschap, dit huis is slechts 7 mijl naar Purgatory Ski Resort en 20 mijl naar Downtown Durango. Het huis is volledig gevuld met alles wat u nodig heeft voor een eersteklas uitje, inclusief een grote keuken en voldoende eetruimte, een gasgrill en wifi. De hoofdslaapkamer heeft een kingsize bed, een open haard op de kamer en een tv, en een eigen badkamer met een staande douche en een groot bad. Slaapkamer 2 beschikt over een queensize bed met eigen ligbad. Slaapkamer 3 heeft een queensize bed en deelde een bad van Jack en Jill met slaapkamer 4 met een queensize bed en een stapelbed. Geniet buiten van het grote afgeschermde balkondek, perfect om te genieten van het prachtige landschap rondom u. Er is een volledige garage en voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

In de winter moet u vierwielaandrijving met sneeuwbanden of kettingen hebben - geen uitzonderingen.

The house is spacious and comfortable. It’s close to skiing, which is a great plus. It is very very remote Far from stores, restaurants,etc. the road to the house is narrow,winding and dark. If it snows chains and a good 4 wheel drive needed. Very spacious for our family of 10. Beautiful lake and Mountain Views We had an issue with the water early in the morning, before office hours. I left a message and text and was contacted very quickly. Our interaction was so helpful and the situation was handled. Very impressed and appreciative.

No complaints. Listing is accurate. Read listing careful. The listing emphasizes "4x4 and or chains" driveway has a steep incline with ice and snow this time of year. Our 4x4s suited us well. So beautiful

This property looks amazing in the photos but wait until you walk in the front door! We couldn't get enough of the lake view and stargazing from the patio. Plenty of room for a large family. We will definately stay again.

Amazing views!

This was a wonderful place for my family and I to stay for vacation on the 4th of July. There was plenty of room with plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking when we felt like staying in. However, the drive into Durango isn’t bad if you’d rather eat out. Overall, it’s very nice VRBO.

Epic Property with Lake & Mountain Views

The house & property were perfect for our visit to the Durango area. The views are spectacular any time of day from every room and the back deck was our coffee & cocktail spot for hours! The house felt like a home and has so much character. Super convenient location yet remote and very quiet. Would absolutely stay here again! Area hints: James Ranch burgers YUM, easy hikes at Haviland Lake or horse back rides, county road 250 through the river valley & of course the drive to Ouray & Ridgway (check out the Dennis Weaver Memorial Park in Ridgway) Thank you for a great vacation!!!

Enjoyed Our Stay

The house and accomadations were great. The view is awesome. There is a lock on a bedroom door that isn't working. The bed pillows were really flat. The shower handle in the master bath is difficult to turn and operate. All in all, this was our favorite house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we weren't ready to leave. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house. We hope to be back.

The price is ok.

We stayed here for 4 nights, the check in process of having to use a manual key is not easy. Every time you leave you have to put it back in the lock box. If I’m paying this much for a place it needs to be updated technology wise to make it easier. Also we need more fans for during the day when it’s hotter. Other than that the place is great!

Lakeview Legacy

This home is beautiful, spacious and cozy! The view is amazing and our family had a great time! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. One thing I will say is that it snowed a LOT while we were there and I would definitely reiterate the fact that you WILL need snow chains AND 4 wheel drive.

This home was everything we wanted. Near enough to Durango, yet far enough away to have spectacular views and hear the wind blow thru the pines. Every window in this lovely home gave you a view. Clean, comfortable, all the conveniences of home and wonderfully furnished.

An Absolutely Amazing Home!

My family stayed at this home during our annual summer off-roading trip to the Alpine Loop. This house stunning! It sits above a lake and is tucked into the woods. Even though the lake was not completely full (as the dam undergoes repairs), it was still amazing! The views from the deck were just perfect. The house is in a neighborhood that has dirt roads, but the driveway to the house is paved. Even though we did get one of our trucks with a trailer up the driveway, it really is not designed for a truck towing a trailer. This was not an issue as it was actually easier to find a place to park the trailers in Silverton, close to where we were spending our days. This was by far the nicest, most beautiful house we have ever stayed at. Simply amazing!

Favorite place on earth

We stayed here for our honeymoon. I should have made it the last stop instead of the first. There’s no topping it. We are in love with this house and Durango. The view is breathtaking, and the home is warm and cozy. I would not change a single thing about this place. The appliances are dated but I think they add character. Don’t change them. Allowing us to stay here and make memories was a gift to us and we are forever grateful. We will absolutely come back as long as the property is available. Maybe for our anniversary? Thank you. The property managers Kevin and Gwen are amazing people. They were responsive, kind and showed us real Colorado hospitality. Kevin, Gwen, thank you.

Just gorgeous!

Beautiful and peaceful remote mountain home. Easy 30 min drive into historic Durando. The home was well appointed with spectacular views; even though the lake was very low. So don’t be deterred by that. Loved the personal note and family photos in the home. We actually cancelled a few things just to relax in the home. We didn’t want to leave! If you stay here, make sure you take the drive to Ouray. Stunning drive up the million dollar highway.

Absolutely Stunning Location

Our family travels out west every summer and we pick new locations to explore and stay in VRBOs. This was easily one of the best places we have stayed! Just 20 miles north of Durango, we were close enough to grocery stores etc., but far enough to be a world away. Property was gorgeous, just like advertised. No complaints at all. Clean and roomy with everything we needed for a great stay. The house was great, but the deck was the focal point. Incredible views and cool, quiet breeze coming up off the lake. We wanted to stay longer. Close to some great hikes too! We had a fantastic time.
