Durango, Colorado houdt de schoonheid van een verdwenen wereld. Het is de meest rustige plek gemengd met geschiedenis, recreatie en onuitwisbaar herinneringen. Onze 2600 + vierkante voet aangepaste woning is gelegen in de bergen met uitzicht op prachtige Lake vagevuur. De schittering van de Ingenieur en Spud Mountain kan worden gezien naar het noorden, en naar het oosten van de rivier de Animas die door de La Plata Mountains stroomt.

Het huis is gemaakt door de handen van een meester met elk venster ingewikkeld aanmaken van een nieuw uitzicht op het meer. Giant deuren leiden u naar een terras waar u een hot tub die u kunt genieten na uw dagelijkse activiteiten vindt. 'S nachts de lucht is zo zwart, zult u het gevoel alsof je zit onder een paraplu van sterren. De nacht is zo vredig kunt u de vis in het water te horen. U zult zich op een hoogte van 9000 voet ergens in de buurt van de goden. Het interieur is zeer comfortabel met alle luxe voorzieningen die u weer verbinding maakt met de echte wereld. Nu dat u de perfecte plek om te bezoeken heb gevonden, kijk dan niet verder naar een plek om te verblijven.

U kunt lopen en vis voor de beek forel in de achtertuin. We hebben een kano die u kunt nemen naar het meer vissen. Het is een prive-meer, zodat je niet veel meer te zien. De zomer is het drukke seizoen in Durango, kunt u de trein, wandelen, fietsen, bobslee in het skigebied aan de overkant, paardrijden, goudzoeken of rust en een boek lezen. We zijn 26 mijl ten noorden van Durango. Als u nog vragen aarzel dan niet om te bellen. Ervaar Durango, Colorado.

What a wonderful house right on the lake to enjoy either during the summer or the winter. Highly recommend this place. The place was so well kept and stocked with everything you could possibly think of.

We loved our stay at this cabin! Lots of room to spread out and very close to Purgatory for skiing. This was our second stay here, and I’m a little sad that it is already fully booked in July or we would come back this summer. Thank you for another fantastic stay!

Our family had the best time… the views are incredible, and the house is so thoughtfully appointed! We really enjoyed spending time on the deck and soaking in the hot tub after skiing just across the way! We will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at this beautiful home. We had such a blast playing in the snow and enjoying the views. The house is stocked with everything including extra blankets, pillows, towels, soap in the bathrooms, and fans. The kitchen has more than enough pans, utensils, and dishes. We’ve been to lots of vacation houses and this one continues to sit at the top of our list. Not to mention the host and caretaker are very easy to communicate with. We hope to be back for a third time!

There was a surplus of dishes, towels, and linens for our 3 family group! The property manager was helpful and available with any questions we had. He was willing to come over to help if needed. The house was clean, plenty big and the perfect location to get some time on the mountain without a long drive up & back. It was super convenient being 5 minutes from the parking lot & made it easy when we had people wanting to go back early. The view was awesome, can’t wait to come back during the summer sometime and see the view without all the snow!

We were in town visiting our daughter who lives in a small house and needed some extra room for the family and friends. The house was well stocked with everything we need to cook our Turkey dinner. The views and location of the property was amazing. We skied at Purg and did Apres at The Nugget which is so close to the house. The beds were very comfy and the wood burning furnace was very efficient. The hot tub was also relaxing after skiing and hikes in the area. The best part was the amazing views of the lake during morning coffee. We are for sure staying here next time we are in need. We highly recommend you stay here. Can't wait to stay during the summer or spring...

We stayed at this property just before Thanksgiving. We had a fantastic time. Very spacious home with all the amenities our family needed. Big kitchen with everything we needed to cook our meals. Caretaker Michael was very responsive and helpful. He did a fantastic job decorating the home for Christmas! Location was very private and beautiful. The hot tub was wonderful.

Very enjoyable. Fishing was great. Loved the peddle boats. There are no kayaks which was a bummer since it was listed on the site. We left ours at home. Saw a lot of wildlife. With having all the siblings there, we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. The Purgatory Lodge will not be forgotten!!! Thank you so much

It’s always hard to leave this beautiful home. It’s our 6th stay in this wonderful location. There is no better place to vacation for our family and friends. The wildlife, lake, views are all unbelievable. There are lots of things to do of course but also just “staying in” provides a lot of interesting things to do and see - fishing in the lake right outside the house, birding, canoeing, grilling and soaking in the hot tub! We can’t wait for our next stay. We have been here in June, July and August and although all have different weather and temps all these times have been great for any activities. Our favorites besides staying in are the Spud Lake Trail, Hermosa Creek fishing, DSNGR ride and Cascade Creek fishing right up the road. Thanks to Marcia, Joe and Mike for excellent hospitality and seamless check in and out - and also caring for the environment here in so many ways…Claudia & Jay

This was our 4th time staying at The Purgatory Lodge. Mike was super responsive and easy to deal with. The property is well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed using the paddle boats to fish and explore the beautiful lake. Spa on deck with amazing lake views was really nice to relax in after a day of hiking or fishing. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We definitely will be back in the future. What a special place to relax and enjoy nature.

We had a wonderful vacation here. The location is perfect - it’s nice and quiet, and the lake is beautiful. It’s easy to visit Durango, Silverton, and Ouray from this spot. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed fishing in the lake, and sightseeing around the area. We will definitely be back next year!

This is an amazing getaway home, the private community lake is beautiful, and stocked with many trout to fish for, and multiple watercraft to get you out there. The whole renting process, communication and well, just about anything you need, is simplified due to the lengths that the owners Joe and Marcia go to make you visit great, then you have Mike the caretaker, that handles just about anything while you're visting. And his professionalism, coincides with the owners lengths.The kitchen is unbelievably stocked with pots, pans, and dinner sets for multiple people, and this is one of the few places, you'll ever find well stocked spices and such for you to use. Amazing is barely expressive enough to say, so go visit this home and find out the treasures. My wife and I, will surely visit again. Thanks so much for allowing us to experience the property.

This is our third year coming to ski at Purgatory and this time we brought our friends with us. The place was perfect for two families with the kids taking the upstairs loft and the downstairs bedroom, while the adults staying in the two main floor bedrooms. The place was warm, clean and with great views. The ski resort is not crowded at all and very affordable, while still offering plenty of runs for both intermediate and advanced skiers. And the town of Durango has a great selection of fun restaurants, bakeries and shops that we continue to explore. We will likely come again one more time before moving to a different mountain for a change.

we were all blown away with this property! absolutely spectacular. we have been renting homes for over 25 years & this has got to be the nicest one yet. the view is outstanding. all the nooks & crannies around the home are really neat. decor is just astonishing. Kitchen supplies filled with plenty of odds & ends you might need. didn't use the freshly filled hot tub, but i bet its amazing. can't wait to rent it again
