'Clean room, comfortable beds and bedding. The bathroom was larger than most and the full kitchen was a plus! I liked having central air conditioning instead of the loud units that are normally in hotel rooms. The place was very quiet but it also wasn’t super crowded when we were there. A 5 minute drive to the racetrack which was convenient for our stay. We didn’t use the pool or any amenities so I can’t speak about those but the room was nice!'

'Stayed at this gem for 2 nights, it was close to a family members wedding in Tonica. Just a lovely place, has everything you need. Great nights sleep, it was so quiet. I would go back if we are ever out that way again.'

'Stayed overnight at Mill Street Suite while exploring Starved Rock and Mathiessen state parks. It was a cozy and comfortable experience in an extremely convenient location next to both state parks (just a few miles down the road) and on Mill Street next to several eating and drinking establishments. Went to Bruce and Ollie’s across the street for coffee, sandwiches, and ice cream multiple times during our stay. The suite was well appointed and updated with all the amenities anyone can need. 'The place is amazing! Beautiful old home. Very well maintained. Modernized with AC and plenty of outlets. I can't say enough about how great this place is. Perfect bedroom and bathroom layouts. Roku TVs in all bedrooms! We almost never find that!! The owner was very responsive to any question we had. You can tell they have pride of ownership in this place. We didn't get to use the fire pit in the back, but we will next trip. It was an awesome experience. '

'We had so much fun at this cute and peaceful home! The location was perfect for hiking and exploring the nearby parks. Starved Rock was great but we loved Matthessien State Park. We had everything we needed and our dogs loved the fenced in yard and special treats the owner left, The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay again,'

'Came out this way to do a weekend of hiking and relaxing outside of the city and this place didn’t disappoint. Super clean, updated, and most importantly comfortable! The area is incredible and includes a lot to do right outside the door to this place. Would come back for ice cream and coffee and Bruce and Ollie’s and a beer at Ginger Road any day! '

'Close to downtown Ottawa which made it very convenient for our weekend activities. The home is located next to a railroad track; there were a handful of trains that passed through while we were there but nothing too disruptive. Plenty of room in the apartment.'

'We had a great time with our family and got lots of use out of the pool and we also brought our bikes and went to the nearby park. The neighborhood is gorgeous! The only disappointment about our stay was that there was no hot water in the house, so we were unable to bathe us or our children. Not a horrible deal for us for two nights, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. '
