'Een prachtig opgetrokken hotel/appartementcomplex dichtbij een heerlijk strand aan de westzijde van Chania. Net opgeknapt, vriendelijke personeel, dichtbij het zandstrand, rustig gelegen, fijne zwembaden (onverwarmd), meer dan prima ontbijt en lekkere bedden en douche. In april was het niet zo druk en lekker rustig. In hoogseizoen zou dat minder kunnen zijn aangezien veel appartementen dichtbij elkaar. Ook goede (gratis) wifi. We hebben in elk egval erg genoten. 'Luxury petite hotel located in great location, very close to the beach and the old harbour / town. Staff went above and beyond to help with requests. 'The days at the camping were perfect, we were in a bungalow without bathroom, so we used the shared toilets. They were a bit old, but always clean. We spent time at the swimming pool, we played billard and took part at the karaoke night (Thursday). The prices at the bar are still incredibly cheap. We could leave our bags at the reception the last day and you can also book tours through them (they are in contact with a local tour operator). Really close to the camping site you can find some...

'We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....
