We loved staying at the cottage! Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, and in a super walkable neighborhood. We really enjoyed the back screened-in porch. Perfect for coffee in the morning!

The cottage is absolutely adorable! Our host Theona was terrific! We highly recommend the cottage to anyone visiting Edenton. The cottage is located in downtown Edenton so is within walking distance to all points of interest. The cottage has everything you need and more. The screened-in porch is perfect for early morning coffee and also after dark gatherings. It has lighting for night and shades for privacy. The cottage and our host Theona were exceptional! We will definitely stay with Theona again when back in the area.

Theona is the kindest host. From the moment we booked The Cottage, we felt welcomed and important. She prioritized our comfort and answered all of our questions quickly. The house itself was clean, updated, and thoughtfully set up. Our children (4 & 2) were comfortable being themselves without worrying about breaking anything or getting hurt. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to visit again soon.

The cottage was so hospitable! The location was superb, the cottage itself was extremely clean and well maintained, and you can't beat that covered patio out back. It's obvious the owner takes a lot of pride in the property and hosting because she really thought of every detail. Our stay was absolutely perfect and we will be back soon!

Theona is an absolute amazing host. When you arrive there are cute litte snacks on the table with a note. The cottage smelled clean. And not a bleach clean or im trying to hide a bad smell clean. Very pleasant. We had purchased groceries on the way down so to the kitchen we went. There you will find a keurig duo. Feel free to bring grounds or pods for your morning cup of coffee. If you forget there are pods there. If you aren't a coffee drinker she also has just about every tea you can think of in the cabinet. Salt n pepper. Shampoo and soap. Hand soaps. Dish detergent. Laundry detergent. It was endless. The screened in porch was my favorite in the morning. Make a cup of coffee and go listen to the song birds before getting ready for the day. Highly recommend for a cute/quiet getaway.

This is our family's second stay at this cottage and it was just as amazing as the first time!! The host is always pleasurable and great to communicate with. As my husband remarked, this was the best property we've ever rented - and I've rented many! The cottage was small, but not "small". The decor is tasteful, modern, and clean - no fussy decorations. The furniture and beds were comfy - the kitchen was better than mine at home - and i could LIVE on the back screened in porch, complete with ceiling fan and comfortable furniture, looking out to a lovely green lawn. The location is ideal, just blocks from downtown and a very walkable neighborhood. My mother grew up in Edenton, so i enjoyed staying a few blocks from the house in which she lived as a child. While we were here to honor my uncle's long life, which was both an honor and stressful - returning to this cottage was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

The cottage was beautiful and the location was great. I was surprised, however, to discover that the owner expected you to use your own streaming account to access the TV. Since we have cable TV at home, this was a surprise and a problem.

We absolutely loved this quaint, comfortable cottage and we are already planning a return visit. The cottage has more than everything you need for a cozy stay as well as being less than a mile from Historic Edenton. The host, Theona, is wonderful, so very accommodating. We loved out stay!
