Prettige ontvangst an de receptie van dit fijne eigentijdse hotel met prettige kamer, maar bij nadere beschouwing zie je dat de badkamer slecht en liefdeloos onderhouden is. Slordig kitwerk en beschadigingen aan de verf. Wel een heel fijne stortdouche en het design is aangenaam, net als de kamer. Prima bedden maar wel een dekbed waaronder je behoorlijk transpireert (niet ademende kunststof?). Restaurant was goed. Gerechten mooi op smaak hoewel vis en vlees op exact dezelfde manieren gepresenteerd werden. Vis iets te gaar. Erg vriendelijke bediening. De omgeving waar het hotel ligt, spreekt weinig tot de verbeelding, maar eenmaal binnen vergeet je dat.

Stained carpets. Bedside table hanging off wall. Stained sheets. Dirty table. WiFi dropping out frequently. Flickering lightbulbs. Someone tried to open my door late at night which was terrifying as a lady travelling alone. . Very miserable stay and won’t be back.

Parking was convenient, unlike many hotels in Great Britain. The airport shuttle was available if we had not had a rental car. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with efficient and friendly staff. This is a gorgeous hotel with excellent breakfast choices.

Hotel was very nice, but the decor is DARK. When our uber pulled up to the front of the hotel, it was so dark it did not look open. The room was clean and comfotable, but again, with every light in the room on it was very dark. The hotel had a shuttle to the airport which was very nice and convenient. Staff was great.

Overall very nice stay. Was hard in the dark to find the entrance as not well lit. Was bit strange to have £50 taken from my card on arrival. Never been asked for that before and stayed in a lot of places. Takes a few days to return to card after stay apparently. The hotel itself is nice inside. comfortable. Nice staff members. WiFi was shocking even with TV on as advised. Kept cutting off. Reported this on feedback card and at reception on departure..

Expedia need to inform hotels that gold awardees may be given a room update. Room quite cool on arrival. Heater brought to help but was totally ineffective blowing cold air. Restaurant very busy, service suffered as a consequence. Not what one expected.

Cool and cosy
Cosy and comfortable stay when attending an event at Royal Highland Centre. Room was very comfortable and public areas well spaced and beautifully designed for an evening drink. Plenty of parking too.

Access to the Edinburgh airport from the property was not easy. Better maps and directions would be appreciated. Otherwise .... I enjoyed my brief stay!!
