Very nice hotel. I reserved a single room but at check-in was offered a double room for 15 pounds extra which was OK because I was staying 9 days. The double bed was good, the room comfortable but because under the roof, a bit awkward for me (I'm very tall). I took breakfast in my room which was always delivered on time and very good (fresh products, coffee eggs and toast hot). Nice welcoming notes in my room, free snacks, free Wifi. There are some comfortable and atmospheric lounges on the side of the square. I didn't eat in the restaurant because there are plenty of good restaurants nearby but the restaurant (Lebanese) looked full and popular every night. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, polite and hospitable. The breakfast and bar area is not really to my taste (chairs a bit uncomfortable) and a bit noisy (it is also used for parties and weddings) but the service there was also very friendly and there are quieter alternatives in the hotel if you just want to enjoy a drink and read. I didn't use the Spa facilities but the services they offer look good. I can recommend this hotel and will stay there again during my next visit to Edinburgh.
