Great location and cute hotel
Nice little hotel at a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than check-in to drop off our bags, and they’d made sure to put them in the room for when we got back. They also provided snack bags when we had to leave before breakfast one day. Although the breakfast was objectively decent (set menu), there aren’t a lot of options if you don’t eat pork or eggs. Both waffles and granola were great though. The bed was ok, but the pillows were very voluminous and hard, so they weren’t very comfortable to sleep on. We couldn’t hear the bar downstairs, but even though we had the double windows closed, there was a lot of noise getting in from the alley. It wasn’t too much of a bother for us, but not ideal if you’re sensitive to noise. Cleanliness was generally good, but I do wish that they’d have emptied the bin in the bathroom from the previous guests. There also wasn’t a bin in the actual room, so we to put our garbage in bags and left it near the door every day. Not very accessible as there are a lot of stairs.

An amazing experience staying at this very friendly hotel, in a prime location. Food outstanding. Staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. We enjoyed it that much already booked for same time next year.

Rabble is a really conveniently positioned accommodation. Rooms were clean, comfy beds, everything needed. We chose the vege breakfast, all very nice apart from the vege haggis, have had better. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Cute and quirky little place
Very quirky entrance and you go through the restaurant and bar to get to the hotel rooms, which felt a little strange but super friendly staff. Corridors and stairwells felt a bit too dark and smelt a bit damp but room was nicely equipped and clean enough. Floor was very uneven and creaky and upstairs above us was very loud, you could hear every footstep. We were room 7. Breakfast was really nice and overall we would recommend as the price was very good and location was only 15 mins walk to the main streets and Waverley train station.

Meget dårlig renhold. Hår på sengetøyet og på badet. Dårlig kvalitet på dyner og spesielt hodeputer. Sengetøyet passet ikke i størrelse i fht størrelse på putene. Ekstremt mye støy utenfor gjennom hele natten - tre netter på rad. Helt umulig å sove. Selv med vinduene lukket. Fukt / lekkasje rundt toalettet.

Nice quirky hotel. The rooms were really good with a lot of amenities. The only thing that let us down was the music in the bar area. Was to loud to have a proper conversation with someone.

The restaurant in the hotel was phenomenal! Every meal I ate here was delicious. It is walking distance from shopping, historical sites, and I loved the overall vibe. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Edinburgh.

A gem of a place
Used to stay here when it was Rick’s, (that dates me). It was a good place then but it is an even better place now. The formerly loud bar on the ground floor now has a well appointed, quite chic, bar and restaurant and the restaurant menu is first class. Had couple breakfasts and a dinner during my stay and all were excellent. Room was very comfortable, had such a good nights sleep. Staff were all very friendly which is always a bonus. Location-wise, difficult to beat Rabble on this, one minute from George Street, three from Princes Street. I’ll be back!

Wonderful location for first time visitors. Staff is so lovely and check in and out fast. Very convenient to have the restaurant and bar downstairs! Tip - avoid first floor by cleaner closet or you’ll hear the door frequently in the early morning.

Gorgeous room and all the tea/coffee facilities in the room with milk in the fridge! Sadly a few things in the room look a little tired (door lock and bathroom sink) and the location of the rooms is not ideal. Having to walk through to the kitchen and then through two rather grubby hostel-style doors&stairs felt very 1-2* not 4*. And the Friday night karaoke alongside no AC in the room meant a very sleepless first night. I'd recommend requesting a room higher up in the building as we were the first room in the hotel and it was directly above the bar and on ground level to the street and kitchen deliveries happened right outside the window!

Empfehlenswert, gute Lage.
Modernes, etwas eigenwilliges (positiv gemeint) Restaurant, hinter dem sich noch ein Hotel versteckt (Reception nicht ganz einfach zu finden). Aber tolle Zimmer, sehr gut ausgestattet, super freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Super Lage, nähe Georges und Princess Street.

Great location for the City.
A short break in the City Centre, and this was a great location. NCP parking was about 10mins walk, and was reduced pricing too which was a great help. Excellent breakfast and overall a nice stay but bathroom was quite dusty in places, and disturbed during the night with surrounding bars emptying their glass bottle bins late.

Beautiful place. Our room was perfect for us and the location was really central with a 5 min walk to prince's street and very close to other restaurants etc. It was a little noisy due to overlooking another pub and road that the glass was being emptied out every morning but its a city center location so i would expect that. They have big towels! A simple but lovely touch along with hair dryer and straighteners. The team were friendly and attentive.

Nice hotel, staff, food and well situated. Some things in room needed attention (toilet flush refill very slow, sink plug didn't work, toilet roll hanging off wall). All minor things which could be sorted easily. The main reason for not giving an excellent review was the noise outside every day from refuse being emptied in the small street behind Started very early and finished late at night. A great shame.

Nice hotel above the Rabble restaurant, ideal location for staying in Edinburgh. We ate in the Rabble in the evening and the food was excellent. Hotel room was clean and very modern with excellent in room facilities Perks: .5 min walk from Waverley Train Station .loads of bars, restaurants and the main shopping streets all within a short walking distance

A hidden gem
Rabble is an amazing, friendly hotel. Tbe staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very clean and all the small touches made it, hairdrier and straightening irons, tea and coffee pod machine, shower gel shampoo and conditioner also a jar with cotton pads and buds. Tv had Netflex which was great for late night viewing. We booked in for breakfast and i csn honestly say it was the best full english ive ever had, delishous. It was so good we had dinner and cocktails we booked in for dinner and cocktails and they didnt dissapoint. All in all a brilliant hotel in a ideal location and we will definitely be back again.
