Verassend goed eenvoudig verblijf
Comfortabel hotel, net buiten het centrum in een rustige sfeervolle parkachtige setting! Een hotel gelegen op het terrein van de Edinburgh Universiteit! Een warm welkom, als VIP gast wordt direct jou alle privileges aangeboden. Gerenoveerde kamers, schoon en je kunt de ramen open zetten voor frisse lucht en geen omgeving lawaai! Met bushalte op 200m afstand en Nr. 30-33-14 binnen 15 minuten op de Royal Myle! Zelfs lopen is eenvoudig en leuk.

Prachtige kamer en heel schoon. Van het ontbijt hebben we genoten. Zoveel vers fruit heerlijk! Leuk en spontaan personeel. Gewoon geweldig. Van ons krijgt het team een 10. We raden anderen aan zeker dit hotel te bezoeken.

De afstand naar het centrum is goed lopend te doen. Het personeel is supervriendelijk en de kamer was heel netjes. Zou zo terug gaan.

Mooie ligging ten zuiden van de 'old town'
Masson House ligt met een aantal mooie gebouwen op een eigen terrein, dus goed privé parkeren. Via de 'pedestrian entrance' loop je binnen 20 minuten naar de 'old town'.

Masson Hotel
Een goed hotel voor een aantrekkelijke prijs. Op 1,5 km lopen van het oude kasteel. Goed te doen als je gemiddeld fit bent. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn eenvoudig, niet al te groot naar wel comfortabel. Een enkel persoon past prima in zo'n kamer. Voor 2 personen is het wat aan de kleine kant.

Prima hotel in een rustige omgeving. De binnenstad van Edinburgh is goed te bereiken, zowel te voet (+/- 20 min) als met de bus. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed.

Superb breakfast selection!
Superb breakfast selection! Absolutely nothing short of perfect! The room however was not very big and the shower temperature was inconsistent, but a nice bed and nice and clean. Definitely recommendable.

Fantastisch Hotel op een universiteitsterrein
Dit Hotel heeft alle voorzieningen. Gratis Wifi, zeer compleet ontbijtbuffet, goedkopere prijsafspraak voor een taxi naar het vliegveld en een bushalte net buiten het terrein als je achterlangs het hotel verlaat. We werden bijzonder vriendelijk geholpen door de medewerkers. Bij ontbijt wordt uw bestelling opgenomen wat betreft koffie, thee en warme gerechten.(zoals diverse eiergerechten, bacon, tomaten, black pudding en haggis het overige kunt u uit het buffet halen) Je weet dat het hotel zich op een campus bevind maar je merkt er verder niet veel van. Dus zeker geen overlast van studenten.

Really nice room. The breakfast was great & the staff were really helpful advising us about things to do. Also got free access to a sports complex nearby with a sauna which was a bonus as we didn’t realise we got this. 😊

Everything was excellent. And I would recommend that the large sitting chairs in the rooms be recushioned, no padding at all. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay and will be back.

The property's location was ideal for us. My daughter was studying the the Univ of Edinburgh and staying at Pollack halls. The proximity made it easier to see her and make plans. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and staff is very friendly. The bath amenities are top-rated! The heated towel rack helped a lot too. Overall, a comfortable stay.

Clean, spacious rooms. Incredibly helpful staff, nothing too much trouble , went the extra mile helping with my disabled 93 yr old mum. Staff always bright & cheerful. Restaurant food and breakfasts were excellent- great quality food and choice.

A real find.
Don’t be put off by the uninspiring building. Lovely rooms, huge beds, great shower. All the staff were delightful. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

The Scholar staff is amazing and very friendly! I appreciated their approach to helping me when I needed something. I also had dinner at the restaurant and that was great too. The hotel is super clean and walking distance to many nearby locations. The room was nicely spaced and organized. The amenities was very good too! The lounge area was a nice place to sit and catch up on your work or just read. Again, staff is amazing!

Amazing hotel room, services, and breakfast choices! Went there for a conference and the hotel is situated at the same site as John McIntyre Conference Hall. Very convenient, would recommend!

All of the staff from reception to cleaners were super friendly. Room was in the modern part of the hotel, the bed very comfortable. Food was reasonably priced and better than average

Despite this property being near the student accommodation it was remarkably quiet. Very clean, comfortable beds. If I had one slight criticism - it would be the wait for the cooked breakfast and it wasn’t particularly hot.
