My routing when travelling in the UK varies, but I hope I can include the Forest Lodge in my future travel plans. It would be worth driving a bit extra to arrive here. '

De lift daar en tegen was niet zo goed, het duurde telkens veel te lang voor dat ie op je verdieping was en de speakers in de lift bleven bij elke verdieping maar aangeven dat de deuren open en dicht gingen. Ontbijt is alleen heel beperkt: snack&grab . Maar je hebt toch je eigen keuken waar je je boodschappen in kwijt kan. Supermarkt zijn dichtbij en je loopt zo de stad in vanaf het hotel.

However, once you enter it is a very different experience. The hotel is lovely, well maintained and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.
We had a family room which was very good, though could do with some better quality bed linen. However, it wasn’t bad at all and we had a pleasant nights sleep.

'Always excellent! After a five hour drive we are always met with a friendly smile from the receptionist, quite often Caitlin, which automatically makes us feel welcome and lifts us from that journey.
Everything is clean and comfortable and the dining experience is excellent too. All staff are friendly and cheerful making it an even more enjoyable experience. Thank you everyone we will back soon '

'They had some challenges with the card-system, but how they dealt with the situation: extremely friendly - extremely helpful, they did everything they could to make sure we suffer from the situation.
Great and safe location (not too far from the city center), and a fantastic breakfast (super friendly Scottish guy who served us breakfast as well). Worth the price :-) '

'De deluxe double room had een leuke inrichting, een trap naar boven waar een bed en tv stond. De kamer heeft een kleine koelkast en magnetron, wat ik een grote plus vond. Het balkon was erg ruim en de straat erachter vrij rustig. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
De kamer is wel wat gehorig, de buren waren zo nu en dan goed hoorbaar. Wellicht is er in de toekomst de mogelijkheid tot betere isolatie/dikkere muren.
Ook was de waterdruk van de douche laag, waardoor de straal niet...

"Pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. While there are a few areas of wear and tear, I found the room to be comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and even thought this location doesn’t have airco, they do have a fan in room. While small, the fan was sufficient to keep it cool enough for a good nights sleep.
We would definitely return to this location, if needed, in the future.
No info about breakfast because we didn’t need it but you are conveniently next to a service area so there are options available. You do need to walk to these, it seems, because upon leaving the hotel in our car, the only way we could go was towards the exit to the highway.

"Although many stars given by me, my all in all result is 3 stars because of the all day long (24/7) heavily humming noise I heard in my room. Luckily I had a couple of earbuds with me that I was going to use during a pop concert, so I didn't hear the noise during my sleep.
My room was a single person room, number 31. So if you get that one offerred, immediatly ask for another room."
