'Lovely resort hotel . Our room was enormous, the pool was relaxing and breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all really fresh . It’s a bit out of the city but there are local buses and train on the doorstep and a free shuttle bus too. We came to see Fukuoka and have a rest from Tokyo . The hotel was great for both. Only downside for us was no vegetarian option at Dinner so we ate in Fukuoka . '

'I like good design so I just had to stay at Il Palazzo at the end of my two week trip to Kyushu. It’s stunning. The attention to detail throughout was remarkable. My room was spacious and comfortable, with pretty much everything I might need. The staff were attentive and polite. Just one complaint - buffet lunch and dinner, which was included in the rate. It was essentially the same food, and none of it was Japanese. The desserts were pretty good, but otherwise it was a fairly limited, snacky...
