Bergen in je gezicht

Het is winter in Taos en dat betekent skiën en andere wintersporten. Zelfs als u niet skiet, kunt u komen genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op de berg Taos en de Sangre de Cristo-bergketen vanuit Luna Vista, uw ruime adobe thuis weg van huis. Ontspan in de hot tub, ski, bezoek Taos Pueblo, eet in goede restaurants of winkel rond de Plaza. Of blijf thuis en geniet van het uitzicht vanuit het ruime interieur van Luna Vista. Slaapfuncties zijn een slaapkamer met een enorm kingsize sleebed en een andere kamer met twee koninginnen. De bank trekt ook uit naar een koningin in de woonkamer. Het huis is gebouwd met traditionele viga-plafonds en tegelvloeren en sportmeubilair gebouwd voor comfort, een complete keuken met voldoende ruimte voor twee koks, origineel Zuidwestelijk kunstwerk en een gezellige tv-hoek met fauteuils naast de woonkamer. De eettafel in banketstijl is geweldig voor entertainment, maar het huis moedigt ook intieme uitjes aan.

Taos Retreat
It is a Taos appropriate home. We were looking for a vacation stay that would let us get a local flavor of how locals live. This home did that for us, we were never in a big hurry to leave because the home is comfortable & appointed nicely. We’d walk to the end of the road each night to watch the spectacular sunsets. The area is quiet & peaceful. There are some funky homes in the area but that’s Taos, the area did feel safe. We’d definitely stay here again. Getting to the Taos Plaza or Arroyo Seco is easy.

Enjoyed our stay
Great house, great views of mountains in the day, and Taos lights at night. Fairly easy access to most everything from here. My only whiney complaint which has nothing to do with the house are the unavoidable, numerous, randomly spaced speed bumps on the last mile of pavement to the area. If you don't pay attention, just going 25mph down to road will put your head to the roof of your vehicle. A bit overdone.

So I didn’t get to stay at this property- my husband and young adult son stayed here while on a short ski trip. They loved it. Husband said the house was amazing- beds comfy- clean- house even had some coffee in freezer!! Maybe I can go next year and we can get this place again! First hand, communication with the house manager, Madrona, was great! She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout my hubs and kid’s stay. Recommend 💯!

The perfect Taos house
My family loved staying in this beautiful home. Spectacular views, private, gracious and comfortable and full of books and art. Easy distance to everything we wanted to do in town. Dark skies for stargazing, windows on all sides to watch the light changing and snow falling and birds appearing everywhere after the storm. The perfect place to enjoy everything we love about spending time in Taos.

Lovely home
Home was beautiful and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for an extended stay. It is a bit far from the center of town and with snow it was at times challenging but the kiva fireplace and hot tub made the commute over the unpaved road worth it. Thank you to Madrona for being a great caretaker and available when you need information.

Quiet and Comfy Stay
Quiet and lovely 4-day stay. The house was clean, had comfy furniture, open floor plan, and the kitchen had everything I needed. The property manager lives in a casita next door and was very accommodating and helpful. I was solo on this trip and enjoyed the stars, views of Taos Mountain out the kitchen and living room windows, and the hot tub under the car port. To access the bathroom for the master bedroom you go out to the hall. There are 8 speed bumps depending which way you go to town, but it slows traffic down. The dirt road is a dead end and you can’t really hear the main road. Thanks for your helpfulness and quick responses. I will return!

This property really does have mountain views with an adoobe house as posted. I was surprised how close it is to everything in and around Taos. Caretaker is close by. And a totally stocked kitchen. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Luna Vista provides beautiful views of the mountains and inside showcases art and an authentic southwest vibe. The casa provides all the comforts of home. We appreciate the hospitality of the owner and property manager which is why this is the only place we will stay in the Taos area.

Perfect location just outside of Taos meant quiet and big skies to look at. Enjoyed the hot tub. Well stocked kitchen which we used and nice to have laundry. Manager was extremely helpful and flexible with checking in.

Beautiful views in a perfect location
Luna Vista was the absolute perfect place for our week long visit to Taos and the surrounding area. The house was very clean and well stocked and the views were beautiful. The house is very roomy and clean. Decorated with original art which is spectacular. Pillow top beds comfy. Kitchen includes everything needed and more. Madrona hospitable and responsive. Quiet and peaceful, yet town a short drive away. Fond memories made on 70th birthday.
