Kijk dolfijnen op uw eigen prive-strand!

Ben je moe van een verblijf in een cookie cutter condo en vechten voor een plaats op het strand? Als dat zo is, kijk dan niet verder dan het Papa Roy's Paradise! Papa Roy noemt zijn paradijs het Peace & Tevredenheid Lodge of de P & C Lodge. Zijn mantra is 'Niets doen en rust daarna.' Gelegen op Spring Branch vlak bij Perdido Bay, Papa Roy's Paradise is een klein stukje van de hemel. U kunt koffie drinken in de glazen veranda en kijk naar dolfijnen of ontspannen met een cocktail op het strand en het bekijken van de zonsondergang. Binnenin zijn er twee slaapkamers, een grote woonkamer, een volledig uitgeruste keuken en een ruime glazen / afgeschermde veranda. Voor uw outdoor plezier, zijn er kajaks, surfplanken, paddle-planken en zelfs een glijbaan op de kade. Op het witte zandstrand, is er een tuinhuisje met een zithoek en een barbecue. Breng uw boot en het vistuig! Een dok met een onderwater vissen licht uren van plezier en entertainment. Met een beetje geluk kunt u vissen en krabben vangen. In tien minuten, met de boot of met de auto, kunt u bij Pirate's Cove genieten van een van hun cheeseburgers in het paradijs en het drinken van een wereldberoemde Bushwhacker. Ook zijn er vele andere restaurants in de omgeving die gespecialiseerd zijn in lokale zeevruchten. De suiker zandstranden van Gulf Shores en Pensacola zijn een klein eindje rijden. Verse groenten en fruit stands in overvloed in het gebied en Sweet Home Farm Cheese is vlakbij in Elberta. De slagers van de Elberta Grocery zal uw filet, t-bone of porterhouse gesneden orde en wikkel het in vetvrij papier. Ze maken en de beste worst verkopen in Baldwin County ook. In het seizoen, tegen een meerprijs, Papa Roy neemt u mee op zijn garnalen boot, De Perdido Queen, om garnalen te vangen voor uw diner of om dolfijnen in hun natuurlijke habitat. De P & C Lodge is een paradijs gevonden!

We had a wonderful stay at Papa Roy’s! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect relaxing getaway. We loved fishing right off the dock, kayaking around the water, catching hermit crabs, and even watching dolphins swim by. There is so much to do — you truly don’t even have to leave the property to have an amazing time.Our 6-year-old had an absolute blast and was entertained the entire trip. The sunsets each evening were breathtaking, and ending the night with s’mores around the fire pit was the perfect cozy touch.Such a special place for making family memories. Communication with the host was alsoexcellent and timely!

I can’t say enough about our experience here. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated like a beach cottage. Our children ages 10, 10, and 8 played endlessly on the beach and waterslide. We saw so much wildlife, including dolphins everyday. It was so peaceful, given that the area on the other side of the water is all natural with no houses. The kids could walk pretty far out while still touching and the water was calm. We got some much needed rest and would love to make this our go-to place to come back to again and again.

PapaRoy's may be a bit off the beaten path, but that’s exactly what makes it such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. My family loved starting our days with trips to the beach and other nearby attractions, then winding down in the afternoons on our own private beach. We spotted dolphins daily, and the slide was a fun bonus that everyone enjoyed.The closest town, Foley, is about 25 minutes away and offers plenty of options for shopping and dining.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely love to return. Give PapaRoy's a try—you won’t be disappointed!

A great trip back to Papa Roy's

We went to Papa Roy's Paradise for the second time, and we look forward to returning a third time. I highly recommend staying here! It is so nice to have a private little beach and pier so close to the house, especially with an 8-month-old and 6-year-old in tow. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, seeing the dolphins, and swimming. Michele is a wonderful, helpful, and responsive host. The only issue we had was with the internet, so we were unable to watch any movies at night on the smart TV or dish on demand, but Michele said they may be getting fiber in the future (fingers crossed!!).

Marjorie and I had a fantastic stay at Papa Roys. We love that fact that it is a very quiet neighborhood. We loved sitting down by the water enjoying our favorite drinks and watching for the dolphines to swim by. We were close enought to Foley to go shopping for an afternoon with many resturants if we did't want to BBQ. We have been at Papa Roys 3 times now and plan to make many more trips down to Alabama. It is worth the 2 1/2 day drive down there.

Beautiful property!

We absolutely loved our stay! We were able to see dolphins & catch fish from the shore or dock every day. And the pavilion outside is a great way for the kids to get out of the sun or snuggle up and watch a little TV.

Peaceful

We loved the property! We saw all kinds of wildlife: conch shell walking on bottom of water, unidentified huge fish sitting at bottom of water, heron, blue jays taking a bath, and best of all a small gray dolphin 3’ from shore. It was also a full moon so we enjoyed the moon and stars from the dock. We walked daily along the road and it was peaceful and friendly neighbors!

Perfect beach getaway!

Beautiful beach house in a great location! Very clean and exactly as described. The private beach and dock were the best parts! My daughter and i swam and my son and husband fished. The water was warm and calm and they caught fish after fish. There were kayaks, life jackets, floats and more. We all enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Papa Roy’s. It was the perfect beach trip minus the chaos of going to the typical beach with condos and tons of people. It was very relaxing and cozy. The private beach and pier was perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaking, sand play, and hanging out. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need and was very comfortable. Michele was a great host and very responsive. I’d recommend stocking up on groceries and bait before arriving because it’s a little bit of a drive 20-30 minutes away from stores. We had an amazing stay and definitely want to come back!!!

Private Paradise

Had a delightful stay at Papa Roy’s Paradise. This property is ideal for someone seeking rest, remote from the crowds at the beach. The house is small and comfortable for us two, nicely furnished and re-done. The private beach and pier are the best features. We saw dolphins a few times. I caught a fish ( a drum I think) from the pier that was too large to lift. It’s some distance to restaurants and stores. If you’d like to take in some local color I suggest Pirate’s Cove, only 10 minutes away.

Great Fish Camp

We really enjoyed our stay at Papa Roy’s Paradise. The property has a ton of character and history. It’s obvious that Roy and his family put a ton of work and pride into building this place. The property isn’t close to the action which can be a blessing or curse depending on what your goals are for you visit. Good grocery stores and restaurants will have you doing some driving. That said the place is incredibly quiet and relaxing. Almost no boat traffic and the fishing is excellent!! We caught a huge variety of fish including reds, spotted trout, flounder, mullet, mangrove snapper, hardhead and sail cats, lots of pin fish and even a ray. Live bait and early/late fishing are key. The only small critiques we have are the main bed is pretty uncomfortable and the exterior lighting around the house could be improved. It’s easy to miss the walkway between the two houses. If you’re looking for a beautiful property, relaxing vacation and great fishing you’ll be hard pressed to find a better property. Thanks for a great stay. Ken and Susie
