Folklore Woods is professionally cleaned between every stay. All bed linens and towels are provided and freshly laundered between every guest.

KITCHEN AND DINING

The fully appointed kitchen has an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, plus a toaster, blender and water kettle. We provide pots and pans, baking dishes and sheet pans, dishes and flatware, wine glasses, and children's plates, bowls and utensils. The coffee and drink bar has a Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker and a DeLonghi espresso machine, with starter packs of Door County Coffee. Gather at the spacious dining table or step outside for al fresco meals among the trees.

Other provided supplies include starter packs of Door County Coffee and filters, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, and dishwasher and laundry supplies. Body soap and shower gel, a hair dryer, an iron, hangers and portable fans are provided. A first aid kit, a power outage kit, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher are on site.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to Folklore Woods and its private wooded lot of more than two acres, including the patio and outdoor dining area, the fire pit, the hammock, the gas grill and the side yard with lawn games. Free parking is available on the property.



The Neighborhood:

Folklore Woods sits in the peaceful woods of Ellison Bay, near the tip of the Door County peninsula. Garrett Bay, with its underwater shipwrecks and scenic shoreline, is within walking distance. Newport State Park's hiking trails are nearby, and the restaurants and shops of Sister Bay are a short drive away.



Getting Around:

A car is the best way to explore Door County. Free parking is available on the property, and Sister Bay is a short drive away.

Folklore Woods is professionally managed by DoCo Vacations, a locally owned Door County vacation rental company. DoCo arranges professional cleaning between stays and handles guest communication and after-hours phone support for emergencies or any other questions. Our standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and our standard check-out time is 10:00 a.m.. Furniture and decor may differ from the photos.



•The home is in a wooded, rural setting. You may encounter mosquitoes, spiders and other insects.

•Reliable Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

•Garbage and recycling are picked up from the driveway, so there is no need to move the bins to the street.

We pride ourselves on creating a streamlined experience whenever and wherever possible. You'll check in with a keypad door lock. You'll receive all of your check-in instructions digitally, along with our digital guidebook of favorite Door County spots.
