We live on 12+ acres in the Oregon Cascades, in a well-insulated home. So, we’re very “spoiled” in that our home is very, very quiet for sleeping. This renovated, well-maintained, clean home provided that same sleeping ‘atmosphere’ for us...hence our 5-star review.
Our host, Jason, is a courteous, mannered professional man. Our only contact with Jason was on arrival, during which we spent a fair amount of time getting to know each other. While we never connected again (we were constantly on-the-go visiting relatives and friends), I am supremely confident that, had the need occurred, Jason would have quickly and effectively responded.
Worth mentioning:
-While the rental has a large new TV, it did not have cable or satellite. This was a little disconcerting to me (we have rented a few times, and all previous rentals had satellite connections...so, I incorrectly presumed...without noting...that TV content was not directly provided...my bad!). We had come from Las Vegas, after attending the WCC Basketball Championship, had watched Seattle U. Women’s team win their first WACgame there...and I had expected to watch TV of Oregon in their PAC-12 games while in Escondido. Anyway, a mixed blessing: we went to bed earlier (with no TV to watch), and got much needed rest.
Lastly, we hope that Jason’s wife’s foot heals perfectly (while we didn’t get to meet her, as she was in a very “hobbled” state...based on our contact with Jason, she must also be a very nice person). Yes, we recommend this property for rental for the reasons stated.
