'It’s very vintage and a historic. So you have to be ok with not having modern furniture and things like an automatic room temp control- we had a ceiling fan and window. 'Our stay was perfect for what we needed! The check in and out process was simple and fast! The Breakfast was handy! The Staff was great! The pool option was great (hope to utilize next time). I will add that the architecture and layout of the rooms was a bit out of the ordinary. It's a bit hard to explain, but I defiantly got lost at first. However, that would not deter me staying again!'

'We spent our 5th anniversary there. The furniture in our room had seen better days, which didn't matter to us, other than that everything else was really good. There was a bartender in the lounge on Thursday night 6/11 with a unique name which I can't remember, who was great! We got in late, and decided to have a couple drinks before bed. He made us feel welcomed, and was fun to talk to. He seemed to really enjoy his job. We will be back next time we are in the Superior/Duluth area.'

'The location was the best! Right on the marina so plenty to do and see. It was also just a short walk to Canal Park and to the beach. The views were great and there was so many extras. They have an above ground fire pit, outdoor games, shuttle to surrounding attractions, a s’mores bar, beach toys, and free drinks and snacks. Will definitely be staying here again!'

'Microwave wasn’t cleaned, bed table tops not wiped down but the place was fairly decent. Biggest negative is the parking is 2 blocks offsite and currently an additional $10/nights stay. Rooms are priced respective of the hotel’s proximity to the Canal Park and the Duluth Entertainment Center /DECC.'

'Staff were wonderful and helpful throughout my stay but seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the breakfast needs-seemed everything was empty at the same time. Came down at different times during stay and this seemed to be an issue. I do realize that this is out of the control of the hotel but construction noise going on around the building was horrible! Even 7am on a Saturday morning. Would not recommend staying until that’s done especially if you have small children that nap (as it was...

'Walls are basically curtains. Weird offset slats on the tops of the walls by the room so you can see light from the other rooms and hear EVERYTHING. Hearing the person in the next room toss and turn in bed. Some degenerate left baby batter in one of the toilets.'

'The room smelled horribly of urine, the door to the room would not lock or even stay shut. The area is sketchy. Did not feel safe or comfortable, moved to another hotel and did not get a refund. Terrible on all accounts.'

'Everything was excellent: clean, cool, spacious, easy accessibility, and great location. The staff responded quickly and professionally to my questions. Stayed on the line with me to walk me through the entry process (bc I need hand-holding; you likely won’t need it.). I highly recommend this place!'

'Absolutely amazing property! Room was clean, view was amazing (once the fog cleared), breakfast options were great, and the pool/hot tub area was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. If you plan on spending time in and around Canal Park, this is where you need to stay!'
