'This is a hidden gem in a maybe not well known, but great Barrio in Buenos Aires, i.e. Almagro. Taxi and Uber work great and cost little, so within minutes you are in Palermo or other Barrios. The owner of Casa Umare, Pablo, was always available for any request and even provided us with metro cards. The house itself is a beautifully restored 100 year old mansion with matching art all around, mostly from Pablo, who is also a gifted artist.'

The ladies helped us by providing a map of the area and when we said we were interested in subway, they gave us a subte card with specific directions! 'The staff are really nice here and they have activities every day. The communal space is great . I had a private room which was fine. The place is old and the floorboards creek a lot but it didn’t affect my stay . '

"As the owner is Belgian, the support and assistance is extremely helpful. The atmosphere of the hotel radiats a cosy feeling with a feel at home mentality.The owner is multi languaged which lifts up multi cultural barriers. The abundance of many art works spread around the facility invites for cultural interactions and conversations."
