Heerlijke vakantie
We hebben echt genoten van onze vakantie in dit mooie huis. Onze dochter vond de speelruimte geweldig. Door de covid-19 maatregelen helaas weinig persoonlijk contact gehad met de eigenaren, maar de communicatie is alsnog goed verlopen. We komen hier zeker terug.

Mooi sfeervol huis.
Mooie ruime woning . Goede matrassen op de bedden en fijn dat iedere slaapkamer een was- en douche mogelijkheid heeft. De keuken is leuk ingericht maar is niet in alles even praktisch met name het kookgedeelte is mooi maar erg laag. Daartegen is de bijkeuken met wasmachine, droger en extra koelkast erg fijn. De woonkamer is gezellig maar heeft weinig comfortabele stoelen, een 2 persoons bank en een fauteuil. Terwijl de woning voor 6 personen is. Zeker ook in de zomer is het erg fijn buiten vertoeven met ruime tuin, zwembad en een overdekt gedeelte om te eten. Ook handig is het dat je de auto op eigen terrein kunt parkeren. Ondanks een paar kleine opmerkingen is het een fijn en mooi huis.

Very charming
We stayed in Esternay for a week in May in the beautiful cottage of Sandrine, and were welcomed with a nice bottle of Ratafia. The house is very nicely decorated and there's everything you need. The bedrooms are all quite large, tastefully decorated and all boast a nice private bathroom with shower. The garden is completely closed off which was really nice for our two little boys. There's a nice place to eat outside in the shade as well. It's in walking distance from the village which has a bakery and a small shop for groceries. There's also a bigger supermarket in the village, and a hypermarket 15 minutes driving. There's plenty of sightseeing in the vicinity, and some nice wineries to taste and buy Champagne. So, all in all we had a wonderful week, and I would highly recommend the cottage.

uitstekend vakantieverblijf voor voor 4 volwassenen met 2 kinderen
De ontvangst was zeer gastvrij: we werden bij aankomst getrakteerd op een fles heerlijke champagne. Aankleding van woonruimte (met goed functionerende open haard) en slaapkamers waren uitstekend. De bedden waren van prima kwaliteit. Erg plezierig was dat ieder van de drie slaapkamers een eigen douche ter beschikking had. Minpuntje: de verlichting boven de inductieplaat was minimaal en de werkhoogte om te bakken braden wat aan de lage kant. De elektrische oven daarentegen functioneerde optimaal. Dankjewel, Sandrine, voor de heerlijke week die je ons met je gîte bezorgd hebt! Groep van 6 personen, bestaande uit 2 grootouders met 2 kinderen en 2 kleinkinderen.

One week not enough
Warm welcome from our host Sandrine, introduces us to the many features of this charming accomodation. Plenty of space for the four of us. We cooked most evenings. The two fridges provided room to keep food and wine/lager chilled and the dishwasher helped us keep things tidy. The private garden was perfect for relaxing in or playing table tennis, nd if it got to windy for table tennis the table football upstairs provided great entertainment. Alternatively their is a TV and DVD player in the lounge for quieter evenings. Oh and use of the pool is a bonus touch. The location is lovely and quie. The village centre appears to have been recently updated with parking spaces. The old church bells have a lovely sound, and two bakers, two butcher and a mini mart are all centrally located A supermarket only a short drive. Would love to come again and explore the region more.

Wonderful Gite!
My family and I stayed at this lovely gite in August 2023. It is a beautiful character property with all the necessities. The shared pool is fantastic and quiet. We liked that the gite was in a quiet area, with a secure private garden and seating area for the kids. The town centre is 2 minutes drive away and the local supermarket 5 minutes. While we stayed we visited Disneyland Paris which is an hour away, an easy drive. The host Sandrine greeted us on arrival and lived next door. Our holiday was perfect with no problems. We will look to stay again in the future!

Lovely property with a lovely pool as described. Visited zoo and Disneyland Paris, Provins and epernay. Owners next door but not intrusive. Bakery and small shops 15 minutes walk with a larger supermarket on the outskirts of the town. Would have happily stayed longer.

Nice place in a rural area
The place is quite nice and so are the hosts. You should realize that most attractions are at least 1hr away. Paris is within reach by car+train, though. The pool is great with kids but there are opening hours from 10-18 which is a bit restrictive, especially if you go on day trips. This info would have been very helpful on the FeWo website.

Amazing stay
We had an amazing stay at Sandrine’s place. The property was exquisitely done, well equipped, everything was super clean, the pool booking system was so easy - it didn’t even feel like you were sharing. If you have kids the property is ideal, from lots of children's play things, to a high chair, and the garden was one level and fenced in. We stayed in summer but imagine it would also be cosy and lovely in winter. Great BBQ area too and Sandrine was so helpful with all our questions. Location is great with local bakery and big super market. A really easy drive from Calais. Would definitely recommend!

Charmante Oase
Ein sehr schön renoviertes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Hofgebäude mit großen Zimmern und einem tollen überdachten Freisitz draußen. Eine ruhige Oase - mit beheiztem Pool -, doch Ausflugsziele wie Reims, Troyes und Provins sind alle gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Im Ort selbst kann man sich gut beim Bäcker, Metzger und in einem kleinen Supermarkt versorgen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Doris

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub auf dem Land
Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Für Kinder gibt es einige Spielsachen, für Kleinere z.B. eine Spielküche und für Größere ein Kicker. Grundsätzlich ist sehr viel Platz in der Unterkunft. Den Pool haben wir jeden Tag genutzt. Er ist sehr gepflegt und durch die Überdachung kann man ihn bei jedem Wetter benutzen. Im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Bäckerei, so dass man sich mit dem notwendigsten versorgen kann. Vor Ort kann man eine kleine Draisinentour auf stillgelegten Gleisen machen oder auch kleine nette Spaziergänge durch das Dorf unternehmen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist die mittelalterliche Stadt Provins, die nicht weit enfernt ist. Ein sehr gelungener und erholsamer Aufenthalt! Merci beaucoup!

Toll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, Umgebung eher fad
Wir haben 2 Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Die Ausstattung, der Garten und die gesamte Einrichtung gefielen uns super. Allerdings muss man schon sagen, dass die Umgebung selbst doch nicht so günstig ist. Man ist sehr stark auf das Auto angewiesen, in Esternay selbst kann man nur sehr wenig erleben und es fehlte uns auch an einem schönen Restaurant in Laufnähe. Wenn man für jeden kleinen Ausflug das Auto braucht, ist der Ferienspaß für uns schon etwas geschmälert, aber das ist sicher Ansichtssache. Unsere Söhne (16 und 11) fanden den Pool toll, aber ansonsten machte sich in der 2. Woche definitiv Langeweile breit....

Superb private gem in champagne
Sandrine could not have been more helpful in making our stay superb. The gite is delightful, great facilities including the private heated pool. It also had separate washer dryer which is far in excess of many other properties. The decor was authentic, and suited The lovely refurb that has been carried out. We had a wonderful stay, and it was so quite and peaceful. A perfect place to explore the beautiful region, with the support of our host. Thanks sandrine, for everything.

lovely family vacation
This house was beautifully restored with attention to detail. We were a group of 6 with two 4 year old children. The children had lots of toys and books to keep them busy. We were able to use the swimming pool despite the cool weather. The bedding was very comfortable. We hope to return soon!

A great place to stay
We enjoyed a week here in October 2019. The property is clean and adequately equipped for all your needs. The gite has a cosy feel to it and if you feel a bit chilly of an evening you have the added luxury of the use of a wood burning stove. The rooms are spacious and all have shower facilities. The outdoor BBQ area is suitable for use both in the summer and the winter. It is located in a little hamlet with a well equipped supermarket which is only a short distance of 10 mins away in the car . It’s an easy 30/40 min drive to most larger towns . Troyes is well worth a visit. I would really recommend this and we will re book to visit at some point soon. Sandrine is very helpful and welcoming.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Gite. There is plenty of space and facilities. The beds were comfy. We went with our 8yr and 4yr old, they loved the pool and the babyfoot table. We brought plenty of DVDs for the evenings. Sandrine is very helpful and communicates well.

Schöne geräumige Ferienunterkunft im Landhausstil
Wir, als Familie mit zwei Jugendlichen, hatten hier eine angenehme Woche.Das Ferienhaus ist sehr groß und gepflegt,die Ausstattung ist liebevoll im Landhausstil gehalten. Die Küche ist mit allen notwendigen Utensilien gut ausgestattet.Durch den Pool,die Tischtennisplatte und den Kickertisch war auch für die beiden Jungs genügend Abwechslung vorhanden.Die Landschaft in der Umgebung ist toll,es gibt diverse Ausflugsmöglichkeiten,aber ohne Auto geht es nicht . Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen,wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Beautiful house
We wanted to visit Champagne but didn't want to stay in one of the big towns. My wife found this property which looked lovely, was reasonably priced and the owner, Sandrine, was very helpful. We booked and we're not disappointed. The house is decorated very well, is comfortable warm and spacious. The garden while not huge was fine for our needs and we even managed an Easter BBQ. Sandrine was flexible on times of arrival and departure so do contact her. I thourghly recommend it.

Perfect Vacation

Beautiful gite
This gite was fully restored by the owners a few years ago and they did an amazing job, staying faithful to the character of the property while using high end materials. It really is lovely. There are 3 bedrooms. One is a downstairs double with a massage shower. The other two are upstairs; a spacious twin room (no ensuite) and another double (ensuite with another lovely shower). Also upstairs is the play area with a table football table, which we had great fun with! Downstairs there is a kitchen with island, utility room, another toilet, and a large lounge/dining room. Outside there is a covered seating area and table where we enjoyed eating even in the rain! But for me the highlight of this place was the private pool in the back yard. It is listed as a shared pool, but is only shared with the owners, who were away during our stay so we had it all to ourselves! It was heated and got plenty of sun (as did the front of the property in fact). We were met and shown round by a friend of the owners who lives very nearby and was very nice. There are a couple of supermarkets just a few minutes' drive away (one in the town, which is walking distance, and a bigger one just outside Esternay). There is also lots to do in the region: velorail in Esternay itself, and a medieval village, Provins, half an hour away which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highly recommended!

STUNNING COTTAGE IN FANTASTIC LOCATION
We stayed in this beautiful cottage from 11.08.18 to 18.08.18. Everything was perfect, there were just 4 of us, myself my partner and two boys aged 13 and 16. We had superb weather and made full use of the heated pool. We enjoyed visits out to the Champagne houses in Epernay and 2 full days at Disneyland Paris which was a 1 hour drive away. Our evenings were spent having bbqs or making dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and playing cards and board games. A relaxing time was had by all. Sandrine was most helpful from the start of the booking process to our very last day allowing us to stay until lunchtime before we headed home. Have recommended to many of our friends, hope to come back again.

Really perfect for families
We were very happy with this house and we recommend it warmly. It has everything what a family need during holidays - much space inside, comfortable beds, very nice decoration, clean rooms and bathrooms, a lot of freetime activities and (of course) a really big and nice swimmingpool. We enjoyed our holidays from the first until the last day on. If you want to have quiet days with a lot of possibilities without stress - this is the best choice. le gîte idéal pour une semaine de vacances entre amis
Nous étions 3 couples d'amis et nous avons passé une super semaine chez Sandrine Rousseau. Le temps n'ayant pas été de la partie nous avons particulièrement apprécié les grands volumes de la maison et les équipements qui nous permis d'être ensemble sans nous gêner mutuellement. La gentillesse de la propriétaire se retrouve dans le soin apporté aux équipements et au décor. Bref, c'est top!

such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area... would fully recommend to anyone...easy access to most amenities, villages, towns, disneyland, most of all champagne houses which are a must...Thankyou Sandrine & Oliver such a lovely helpful family

Wonderful property in a great area
Nice and warm place, and the same is true for Sandrine and her husband (thanks for the ratafia, guys!). We spent a great week, and we were able to both enjoy the privacy of the individual "suites" and the openness of the common areas, being 3 couples of friends. Great having our evening barbecue in the front lawn! We also enjoyed all the new Appliances. The only thing we didn't like was the setup of the bathroom in the same space with the bedroom, but really a minor concern (and room for making it even better for next time!) Thanks for having us!
