Excellent Clean Cabin
Family of 5 - Had an awesome time on the lake. The cabin is as-listed and was very clean, accommodating, and perfect for us. Lee was very responsive and helpful, and we'd definitely stay here again.

AMAZING HOUSE. KIDS LOVED THE DOCK/WATER
We had so much fun at this property. Kids loved hanging out downstairs and at the dock we brought our own kayaks and fishing poles. Rented a boat for the day pulled right up to the house. Lots of space for everyone. Beautiful deck off back enjoyed eating outside. Great location in the woods!

Better pictures
The house itself was lovely. The cliff down to the lake was horrible. Some members of our group were unable to go down to the water. The upstairs bedroom has no curtains and the sky light made it unusable. The bugs were horrible on the deck not to mention the smell of raw sewage. For the amount we paid per night for this rental we were very disappointed.

We hate to hear you had a less than satisfactory experience during your stay. No one has ever suggested curtains upstairs, but that is worth consideration! We agree - there are definitely bugs outside in the summer, especially since we are in the woods, and there are approximately 100+ steps down the path to the boat dock. During your stay, we were unaware of any unpleasant smell; we would have done our best to address your concerns if we had been notified. We were in the house within a few hours of your departure but noticed no odor; however, we will continue to monitor this situation. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to make improvements to our property.

Great House, Host, and Setting to Relax
The name to this lakehouse is apropos. It truly is serenity at the lake. We surprised our kids with a fall break trip to Tims Ford Lake and they have voted that this was their favorite vacation. Our host welcomed us with thoughtful and generous hospitality. I had mentioned that we would be fishing on our trip, and he thoughtfully left us a can of corn to use. When he found out that we had young children, he suggested that we visit Granddaddy's Farm which was just down the road. That turned out to be great fun for all of us. The house had books, puzzles, an air hockey table, and LEGO! The dock was convenient for us to pull up the boat that we had rented. The sunsets were gorgeous, especially when gazing across the lake from the dock. With the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it was so nice to be in such a beautiful setting to enjoy family time and to relax. We would strongly recommend a stay at Serenity at the Lake. We'll be planning our next trip there soon.

This property was perfect for our family with the different levels, two living areas, and two large, lovely decks. It was just as advertised or even better: clean, well-stocked, plenty of room, and a great dock. The owner was wonderfully responsive. We will stay here again.

It was so comfortable that we felt right at home in our surroundings!
We loved the layout of of the house and the view and access to lake. My husband and I and our two adult sons and daughters in love stayed together for a family week vacation on the lake. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Family Vacation
This was the perfect vacation rental for my family. The house was clean and big enough for our family of 8 to stretch out and relax. The property was beautiful. The lake and dock were only a short walk away and the neighborhood was quiet. The owners were responsive and kind. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Beautiful
Had a great time with friends at this house. The outside deck was great and where we had all of our meals. The walk down to the dock was easy and the walk back up was not as bad as I expected. We ended up loading the coolers in the truck and taking them over to the launch and loading them on the boat rather than trying to carry them down and back up. Since the launch is so close it was easy! Would recommend staying here.

Summer Getaway
The property was perfect for our family vacation. We stayed more than a week and trailered our own boat. The house was very clean and comfortable and the two decks were great to relax on. The dock was especially nice considering it had a boat lift which was a real bonus. Lee was quick to respond to some of the questions we had and also checked up on us via text during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would consider going here again.

Great property, especially for relaxing
We found the property to be updated, clean, and in good working order. The dock was a great feature and the lift in the dock was serious bonus. The proximity to 3 marinas can't be beat, and the state marina has 93 octane no-eth gas! The others are all 87 octane that we saw in the area. About the property: the water pressure was great, the AC was great, the appliances all seem to be nearly new. Can't speak to bed comfort for other people, but I'm picky and travel with my own pillow when I can. Only suggestion I would have would be to install ceiling fans in the 2 higher up bedrooms to get some airflow up there. We both agreed we would stay here again. If you bring your boat, the newer marina Twin Creek has good food for a fair price, but pricey drinks. The closer 2 marinas also have good food options (but not as "nice:), and good drink prices too. We enjoyed visiting all of them though, and have nothing bad to say about those either. ***PS - the owner was VERY responsive to questions we had, and that's the biggest thing to us on VRBO, an owner that cares about your investment in your vacation.

Beautiful Lake House
As others have mentioned, contact with the owners was wonderful. They answered all my extra questions very quickly. We really appreciate having the keyless entry system. And it was wonderful to have paper towels and ice upon arrival! We were a small family but would definitely consider this house in the future to share with friends or family. It has enough space inside and out for everyone to enjoy and not be crowded. Two outdoor decks with chairs, a swing and tables - I had a hard time each morning choosing where to go. Regularly saw at least 5 deer every day on the hillside. I also enjoyed having the large dock with chairs and shade while watching my son fish. And as others have mentioned, there are a lot of steps back up from the dock but definitely doable. After seeing other homes and their stairs, I think this house has one of the easier climbs! We hiked at the nearby State Park and rented a pontoon boat for the day. There are also the Jack Daniels Distillery Tours (book ahead of time). The location was perfect for our get away! We look forward to visiting again!

Best rental ever!
Words cannot describe how great this rental was! The owners had thought of everything to make us feel welcome when we first got there. The house itself is absolutely incredible!! Everything is new and premium and beautiful!! The view from the back porch is amazing! It’s awesome!
One of my favorite places I have ever booked on VRBO! From the openers and the location- couldn’t ask for more. If you like to cook- bring a favorite pot or pan as these need updating. Otherwise- you will be set! We brought our jet ski and spent time all over the property! Loved it.

Perfect Getaway With Friends
We stayed at this property in August with 4 adults and 4 kids and had an absolute blast. Property was exactly as pictured and very clean. We got our workouts everyday going up and down the stairs from house to the dock, but spent lots of time down there with the kids jumping off the dock and swimming. Water is plenty deep to jump in and swim right off the dock. We also rented a boat for several days and were able to pull right up to the dock to run back up to the house. The closet in the bunked kids room had some toys in it and perhaps what the kids enjoyed the most - lots of Legos! Overall, really great stay at the house. Couple of recommendations for future visitors: - There's a Food Lion and Walmart about 30 minutes away - recommend trying to stop there on your way in/thru to stock up on what you need. - We rented a boat from Tims Ford Marina and Tube from Lakeview Marina. On our last day, we took our boat to Twin Creeks Marina which was beautiful. They had a Jungle Boat you could rent out for 2 hours that was a ton of fun for both adults and kids. - Life Jackets - Pack your own if you can Lastly - can't say enough how easy it was to communicate with Lee and Krista leading up to our stay and whenever we had questions. Super responsive and always very helpful.

Delightful getaway

Peaceful Family Getaway
What a beautiful property. The pictures do not do it justice. We are boaters and the ramp access was so close and the dock at the house was perfect for our boat. The automatic fish feeder was a HUGE piece of excitement for our kids. It brought so many fish to the area they thought they were the most amazing fishermen EVER! Lake House Holiday
Beautiful place on a beautiful lake! Due to Covid, We chose to stay close to home and get a private place away from crowds to enjoy the family and the water. We had a blast and enjoyed the house and dock! Location is very convenient to two nice marinas, in case you run out of fishing worms, gas for your boat or just want to grab a bite to eat. House was so cute and clean. Owners communicated very well!

Lovely summer weekend
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lee’s property. He was responsive and accommodating- even sending his son over to help with a TV issue on Saturday. The property is clean with plenty of space and great views! Location is basically in the middle of the lake and very close to 2 marinas if you want to go get food or gas. Thank you to the Coles for a great stay!

Unbelievably Amazing!!!!!
I don’t even know where to start. This lake house was beyond stunning. Very clean and perfect for our family vacation with 7 people. Comfortable beds. I could’ve just stayed in the living room all the time in the recliner🤣. The dock was in excellent shape and we had a blast hanging out there every day! I think I also read in another review that the pictures don’t do this place justice and that is absolutely true. We can’t wait for next year!!

Quick Getaway
Pictures don't do this property justice. It's very nicely laid out. I appreciated that there wasn't furniture everywhere -- plenty of seating but plenty of open room too which was great with an infant. The steps to the dock are in great shape -- most all properties have steps and I thought this was the best setup to get to the dock of all the places we've stayed before. Plan to spend plenty of time on the dock and porches -- the views and isolation were fabulous! Owner has even put a fish feeder on the dock that drops food routinely so if you're into fishing, the odds are in your favor. Looking forward to coming back to this property! Also, boat ramp was very close and not steep and no crowds -- win all around. Lee was great to deal with as well!

Perfect lake getaway
Wow! Everything about our stay was perfect. Owners are very responsive and kind. The house was spotless with amazing views and wonderful location. Perfect for two families - one couple and a teenager stayed in the upstairs bedrooms and the other couple and two boys stayed in the downstairs. Kids loved the bunk room, air hockey, toy closet, comfy couch, and huge TV. Adults loved the outside seating, dock, and the nearby private boat ramp. The kitchen had everything you would need to stay in and cook but we also found some amazing food in nearby Winchester. The lake was so nice. I can't wait to go back.

Spring Break
The lake views from this property are amazing. Location is convenient to town, easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood. Lee was very responsive to any questions we had. Property was great for our group of 4 (adults & kids). And the boat ramp is conveniently located in area. Would highly recommend this property for your getaway.
