Essex Springs Redwood & River Retreat

Geniet van een afgezonderde retraite in deze moderne cabine in de Redwoods. Badend in het zonlicht, de cabine is een korte wandeling naar de rivier de Mad en slechts enkele minuten van HSU en Arcata's lokale winkels, restaurants, supermarkten en gemeenschapsbos.

Dit gezellige redwood retraite heeft een gezellige overdekte veranda, een volledig uitgeruste keuken, en bamboe en betegelde vloeren. De open plattegrond biedt een comfortabele queen-sized bed beneden en een gezellige slaapzolder met een full-sized bed boven ... ieder binnen het zicht en het comfort van de warme stenen haard. Het zonnige achterdek op het westen is ideaal om buiten te eten terwijl u geniet van deze privé Redwood Oasis.

* 3 nachten minimum tijdens 3-daagse weekends en vakantieweken (inclusief 4 juli). Voor het HSU afstudeerweekend zijn onze tarieven hoger en minimaal 4 nachten.

Ook, als u een beetje tijd hebt om te verkennen, onze locatie is slechts een korte rit naar prachtige lokale stranden in de buurt van Eureka en Trinidad, en natuurlijke paradijzen van Patricks Point State Park, Big Lagoon en Redwood National Park.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

My partner and I stayed in the cozy cabin, and it was great! It was just the right size for two people. Everything was clean and easy to use. The hot tub was a minute walk from the cabin and was really lovely. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend!

It was a great little spot. But a bit tight for 3 people but great for 2. The main bed was a bit uncomfortable and the bathtub was very slippery.

It's a cabin in the woods

It was a bit more remote than we expected and was a bit hard to find because there were several rental units at that address. I didn't realize it was a tub with a hoop shower, my bad for not having checked the pictures more closely. A bit challenging to get in and out of for us older folks.

Cozy Cabin

Great value for the area. Some of the linens were quite well used, but for a quiet get away while we spent most of the day hiking, it was nice. Very cozy, small living area. Did not realize the loft area is really only a bed, accessible by a somewhat steep ladder, very little standing room and doesn't provide privacy. This is sort of a cute feature and I imagine a kid would enjoy the novelty. I used ear plugs and a sleep mask since basically sleeping in same room as my travel partner. I checked out the hot tub nestled in the trees just down a very short path, it was a lovely addition to the trip. Cabin was clean, except some staining to the comforter and bottom of tub, but seemed to be old and not from actual dirt. I appreciate the sustainability efforts from the owner. We had everything we needed. Would stay again.

Pretty good stay for the price

I feel pretty mixed about this property. Cute, clean cabin with the right amount of space for my partner and I. Communication with Jefferey was terse and I was worried the whole time about making a mess or forgetting to complete all of the “standard cleaning tasks” that he asked of us and reviving a fine. First of all it's listed with a hot tub. If you like sharing your hot tub with 3 other rentals that are occupied by strangers. Second no internet service, no tv, and they want you to clean daily you cabin. I think I paid to much and I will do a lot more research before I spend over a thousand dollars for

We enjoyed our stay. The teenagers loved the loft sleeping area. The property was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean. We would have liked more bath towels,but that's our only complaint. The directions provided by the host were easy to follow. Quick access to nearby town of Arcata and the beach (about 10 to 15 min drive). We would stay here again.

Love this little cabin!

This is an amazing property. It is very clean and well cared for. The host was welcoming and friendly. It was wonderful to relax in the hot tub surrounded by trees after a long day enjoying the beach and Friday night market in Eureka. A big thank you to Jeff for his hospitality!

Cute little cabin

Great location. The cabin is next to some other cabins, not sure if they’re rentals, or other people who live on the property. So it wasn’t quite as private as I was anticipating. But over all it was a great place to stay for a few days. It might be a little tricky to find if you arrive after dark.

Peaceful Cozy Cabin

We go up to Arcata to visit our daughter who attends the university. We have stayed at a motel, which we were not impressed with; we have stayed at a hotel at the Arcata Plaza, which was nice, but noisy. This cabin, where we were able to stay for the last visit, was nestled in the redwood trees on a quiet property. We really enjoyed the peacefulness. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We purchased wood from the coolest grocery store and the wood burning stove was able to heat the whole cabin. Our favorite part of the stay was enjoying hot coffee on the porch each cool morning. (The coffee was also purchased at the grocery store). We will definitely be coming back!

Cozy cabin adorable

Great little cabin in the redwoods. Jeffrey was kind and understanding throughout our stay. We fished almost day and night so we basically slept and showered. Bear claws tub a little difficult to get into but it worked. We would stay again and recommend.
